Amazing food! Great customer service! All the qualities you need for a highly rated restaurant. We walked in. You have to come while church is in session on Sunday or else you may not get a seat. It gets busy when church is let out. Last time me and my parents tried to eat here, there was a long wait. We sit down and our waiter is very nice. We get are drinks quickly and the menu has varied options and super cheep prices! We had a very hard time deciding. We finally decide and order our food. My parents get their coffee filled quickly and enjoy the decor around the inside of this diner. The walls have painted figures of Greece. Once we get our food, the toast is perfect to our liking. The eggs are cooked nicely along with my biscuits and gravy. After we finished our delightful meal, the owner comes and chats with us and she was very nice. This place has a good price range, efficient waiters, nice decor, great costumer service, and awesome food. read more

I had never been here when it was Chef's House, but my mom and grandmother wanted to try it. We arrived at 2:30 for lunch. Apparently they close at 3:00-they were cleaning and seemed to be trying to get out of there, but with 30 minutes to go and with no one else there we figured we would be out by 3. The server was sweet enough, the food was ok (I had a chicken gyro, my mom had a Greek salad (she LOVED it) and grandma had a BLT pita). The issue I had was the owner coming in toward the end of our meal (we were the only table in the restaurant-but still paying customers!) and telling the servers the drawer was $30 short, to him reprimanding our actual server (seemed to be regarding her check or pay?-nevertheless extremely unprofessional with paying guests right there eating their meal... The real kicker though was the cooks in the back shouting out rude comments "they want to order something special when they come in at closing" and kept carrying on thru the open window from the back of the house to the front of the house...just they didn't know how to make the Greek fries. Well, then the server shouldn't have told us they could make them. So unprofessional and RUDE. Food was just ok/average, but due to the owner and cooks in the back I will not be back. food was decent, service bad. get to the place, and only a 15 minute wait, it's 20 minutes later and no table yet. this one guy comes walks straight in the door with his family, and gets a table right away. i was hungry waiting 30 minutes and he walks in and gets his hungriness satisfied! we ask why he got a table and the lady acts clueless, but the lady LITERALLY WAS HAVING A FULL CONVERSATION WITH HIM BECAUSE HE WAS A REGULAR. i am still hungry. finally buzzer goes off and we sit down food come out fine my french toast was just bready and i think someone sneezed in my syrup. only one star because the bacon is delicious. read more

I love diners and wanted to take my husband to one we haven't had. Got the #1 breakfast with eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns with grilled onion and toast. Tasted good and the hash browns were delicious! Was only given 1 napkin for the whole time that comes with the silverware. Will come back another time to try the lunch or dinner menu. read more

4.5 Stars Overview Location: This little diner is located on Hilliard-Rome Rd and Roberts. It is mid-size I would not recommend anymore than 8 people to a party. Love diners like this, very homey and traditional. Customer Service: The customer service here was great. The waitresses were definitely fast and had it all together when the morning rush came through the door. The only issue I have here is with the cooks, I sat in a booth fairly close to the kitchen entrance and could here the cooks talking aloud about customers. One waitress did tell them to keep it down because it was starting to echo into the dinning area. Quality/Quantity: The quality of the food was just like an average home style breakfast diner. I loved the waffles and home style potatoes. Id take these over the shredded hashbrowns from anywhere. I am not a fan of shredded hashbrowns. The quantity of the food was a good portion, I left full and ready for a morning nap. Side Notes: Good for medium to some large parties, steaming hot fresh coffee was good. read more

Olympic Diner has consistently been my favorite quick spot for a good and best priced breakfast in Columbus. They hired on new waitstaff and they have been all fantastic. I noticed that the senior waitstaff have been guiding them on regular customers needs. It's impressive. The mini breakfast remains as my go to, but I did try the hungry man breakfast and it was really good. I like the diner feel here where staff know the regulars and the owners are in the mix working with the staff. Also, they are now open for dinner service, I haven't given it a try since I work evenings, but would give it a try. Also, they have daily specials, all the time, today, they have at least 5, one sticks out is the all you can eat fish for $10.99 which seems to be a fantastic deal! If you haven't come before, give it a try and support a local business. read more

This is one of my most favorite restaurants in Columbus. I have ate here for last 6 months at least once a week sometimes 2 . The owner and his wife sure know how to runa place. Food is always hot and fresh. Best corned beef hash out there , The country fried steak breakfast is amazing. Come to think of it I have never had one bad meal from here! Just go , Its a little pricey but , but what isnt anymore .Im sure they are being impacted by inflation as well! Just go support your local Mom and Pop shops! read more

I recently moved to the Hilliard area and I was looking for a good neighborhood breakfast restaurant and I read several reviews on Yelp and the majority of the reviews were positive so I decided to try Olympic Diner. On my 1st trip I ordered a bacon & egg sandwich on wheat toast with a side of hash browns. The $8.99 breakfast sandwich was average at best but nothing to brag about and the hash browns were an extra charge. I would've been better off going to Scrambler's! read more

This is our go to breakfast place in Hilliard. Always great service. The owner and his family really are wonderful. He's always working and is very professional and proud of their business. Refreshing to see these days. The food is good. Honestly we joke about the fruit here. It's always ripe unlike most breakfast spots that give you horrible fruit that you cannot even bite through. Walking in here brings back memories of my teen years where I didn't make much money so going to a diner is like this is like me going to Morton's steakhouse. When we walked into the restaurant it was dated with the decor but I liked it because again it brought back old memories and it was clean. I went with my little family and was greeted by 3 very nice female waitress. We sat ourselves down and ordered. We ordered kid's grilled cheese plate, chili cheese fries, mini breakfast, and a Coney. Oh also coffee. The coffee tasted great. It didn't have that the burnt taste at all and the waitress kept coming around to offer refills which was great because I needed it. When our food came out, everything looked good. Everything looked freshly made and tasted amazing. The fries were soft inside and crispy outside, so much flavor in the chili cheese fries and the eggs and toast were cook to perfection (sunny side up and a runny yolk. Yum). Everything we ordered were a total of 19.89 cents. Damn that is cheap compared to the new age hipster style breakfast/brunch places I go to. Came back to try lunch. Sunday morning at 1130 and had a 15 minute wait that was 15 minutes! I loved my Buckeye Burger, hub loved his gyro and my daughter loved the boneless wings. I had eaten at this restaurant several times throughout the years. I would have described the old diner as one that served traditional American Diner Fare. Now under new management (to me) I thought I'd give it a try. In my company were two others. A quick survey of the menu revealed a menu similar to the old restaurant. One particular menu item that remained was a traditional, so to say, dish; Beef Liver and Onions. We all ordered the Sweet Tea. I ordered the Olympic Sub, with the (up charged) onion rings. Also ordered in the group was the biscuits and gravy, and the Liver and Onions Plate Throughout the meal our server was prompt, courteous, and all business. This lady was going to get our order correct, keep our glasses full, get us our food ASAP, and serve her other customers in the same fashion. Not much small talk. Yeah, she was no rookie. The restaurant was not packed however there was a constant flow of patrons and it was about 11:30 AM on a weekday. My sub was good. The bread was toasted to a light crunch and fresh. It wasn't "slap your momma good" but it was certainly adequate and priced fair. The onion rings were real onion rings. I don't believe they were home made but for $3.99 not a bad deal. The biscuits are gravy on all accounts received a passing grade. 2- easy over eggs were included. 2- properly cooked eggs were delivered. Based on the expert opinion of the third member of my party, the Liver and Onions provided an acceptable showing. Included with the meal was corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and a salad. All were found to be fresh and tasty. During our meal the owner came to our table and kindly introduced himself and asked as to how our dining experience was going. We were in and out in about 40 minutes. I would have given this restaurant 4 stars however I think it could have been a little misleading. I think 4 stars should be for a pretty friggin good place to eat. The Olympic was good. Just not friggin good. Definitely try this place. You won't be wowed but you will be satisfied. My wife and I are new to the area and were looking for a great diner to be able to come to being from New York, and lets just say I think we found it. The food is excellent and the staff provides stellar service. We have been back a few times now and we certainly love it. Breakfast is outstanding and the prices are also very reasonable. Best spot for breakfast in Columbus. If you are from SoCal this place has a breakfast burrito that rivals anything there, and they're French toast is better than Grizzly Manor in Big Bear. If you're not from there, let's just say it's incredible. Tracy is an awesome and fun waitress, and one of the few places the owner not only works the kitchen, but comes out and checks every table to make sure you're happy. Popped in for breakfast, my first time venturing into an actual restaurtant since the virus hit. I was nervous but after seeing how everyone was constantly cleaning, all employees wore masks, and customers were properly spaced my fear was for naught. I ordered french toast with eggs and bacon and it came out just as ordered. I sat at the counter since I was dining alone. The workers seemed happy and went about their work efficiently. So good!! I decided to visit today after getting some recommendations via a Facebook group that supports local restaurants. I am so glad to have discovered my new favorite spot! I went in with breakfast on my mind, but decided to get the Olympic burger instead. Boy am I glad I did. Cheeseburgers are my favorite food and I've had many. This was hands down THE BEST I've had in Columbus. And the fries. Oh my goodness, the fries were pure perfection. Everything was perfect. The service was excellent and we even had a chance to chat with one of the owners, a very friendly and genuinely welcoming place for sure.
