This was my belated Mother's Day gift and it was the best one I've ever received. My daughter and I had the Goddess treatment which was 2 hours of bliss. After 45 minutes of trying the pools and sauna and steam room, we joined several other naked ladies on tables in a room where women in black bras and panties scrubbed, rubbed and pampered us to a fare-thee-well. Afterward, we laid on thin blankets on the heated tile floor. I'm saving up to treat my daughter the next time. The cost of the Goddess is $130, but it is really a good value. read more

I was inspired to review Olympic Spa as a result of Sheena P.'s idiotic review (and apparently I am not the only one). This place is an absolute treasure. It's ultra-clean, peaceful, and relaxing. I've had excellent treatments there every time (massage, facial, scrub, and reflexology). The cafe serves delicious dumplings and kimchi rice. I took my best friends here as a Christmas gift and they loved it and have returned themselves. Honestly this please doesn't need me to defend it, it has plenty of loyal customers, but sometimes you read something so stupid you just can't not respond. read more

I miss going to this place. It is very far but if you want to get the job done, then this is the place to be. The only thing that would alarm you is that it is all women and everyone is naked. I love this place. You will too. BE PREPARED TO BE NAKED. I don't know why there are reviews on here stating that the place isn't clean.. It was SPARKLING clean when I was there. I love the steam rooms, but the mugwort bath was super hot and very healing. You will shower, soak, shower, and soak again many times. If you choose treatment, which I think you should, you will be given a number, and when it is called you will be lead into a common room with other women, naked, lying on treatment tables. They will scrub scrub scrub and you will feel renewed like you never have before. If you skip this because of the naked part YOU NEED TO GET OVER IT. There are all types that go here, and it is a very healing place. I went here right after my good friend died. I was stressed, sad and feeling ugly. I spent a total of 4 hours here and it was only 100.00 plus tip for my wonderful lady that worked on me. I felt amazing and very cared for. This place is so clean and affordable. I make it a point to come here every time we are in Los Angeles. $15 dollars gets you a day pass to a wonderful experience. I love that it's all female, and all naked. Truth be told, I was uncomfortable the very first time I went, but now it's like coming home. Such a wonderful experience. I usually start in the mugwort spa, then the cold pool, alternating a few times. A nap on the warm jade floors, a trip to the regular hot tub, cold pool, sauna. First time in a Korean spa. What a wonderful find. Chose it based on the reviews and proximity to my house, but I was not disappointed. It was definitely one of the best massages I've ever had (and I'm picky) and the space is very zen and supportive. I missed that I was supposed to put my shoes in a special cubby and someone gently guided me. Then I didn't know where to go but another person pointed me in the right direction. They have signs up to explain everything too so no need to feel inadequate. You'll pick it up very fast. Can't wait to come back again and again. read more

(Women only) My (monthly) SPA ROUTINE: terrific for preventative maintenance, go BEFORE anything gets stuck in your system & flush it out fast! I always block off at least 3 hours. Get into steam, then cool dip, then hot tea bath, then cool dip, take long sauna and S-T-R-E-T-C-H my entire body, spine & joints in all directions, while sweating it out, then cold dip, jacuzzi on special points before 75 minute SHIATSU fantastic detail work with Korean Massage Therapy Specialist (draped, no oil), I bring my own face cradle for comfort. Now I'm a puddle after she walks on my back! Return to take hot tea bath, then SCRUB entire body (my own special soapblend), end in the hot stones infra red room, cool down & finally waddled up, I go off to home & sleep deeply... for starters, i'm a complete and total germaphobe. so sitting in pools of un-chlorinated water with other peoples' germs mixing around doesn't really appeal to me. also, when you sit down in the pools, just think of your unclothed flesh sitting down on a ledge where someone's unclothed flesh just was. (and think of what part of you that is- gross.) also, lying on a table 18" from the person next to me, with dead skin cells being sloughed off and flying about- just seems unhygienic to me. that being said - i LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. i somehow manage to convince myself that while they're closed every night they drain the pools and scrub every surface down with bleach. i convince myself of that because the results are amazing. my skin has never ever been as soft as it is now that i go for scrubs. i've done the scrub, the pure bliss, the goddess. the scrub is good for when you can't afford to drop $130 + tip on the goddess. the pure bliss is a better massage, but the stuff they use doesn't smell as good. so really what i get done just depends on how much disposable income i have when i want to go (which is ALL the time. i'm addicted.) like i said, i don't use the pools, but the steam rooms and saunas are great, and the scrub. oi the scrub. i'm not giving in 5 stars because of my issues with the cleanliness. and because i'm an interior designer and i really think they should finish their renovations (one of the toilet partitions is attached to the ceiling with the plastic equivalent to raffia string.) read more

my first time at a bath house! i enjoyed myself throughly, even with just the soak. my favorite was the oxygen jade room. the room that is tiled with jade for good chi and hot oxygen stones to get 'natural oxygen' and something in the steam totally detoxified me. i'm saving the last star for when i get a massage or a scrub or a facial =) read more

Place is smaller than other spa I have been to Resting area is open n close to locker and entrance to both pools and by main entrance so it can be noisy if u r trying to relax n sleep. There is a big sitting / lounge area by d salt room up the walkway going to treatment rooms you can just relax n chill down after going to the Himalayan salt room. I got little lightheaded coming out from salt room. Do not stay too long. There is hour glass timer to restrict your stay not longer than 10 -15 mins. The other open resting area is by d eating place n that too can get noisy as well seeing all those people eating n talking while u r chilling on d floor. It is clean ; two ladies round d clock restocking, cleaning, noisy dragging their trash bucket or bin around. I am not sure if this place is for me to soak n relax. I am a frequent visitor of various Korean spas. I have never had a bad experience at Olympic, and it's still a top choice for me as far as spas go. It may not have as many saunas as the bigger spas, but the staff is polite, the treatments are always fantastic, and I love that it's much more quiet and tranquil than the bigger bath houses. The only thing that would make this spa better would be if it were 24 hours, but that's not a complaint, just a suggestion ;) read more

I got a facial here. My friend got Pure Bliss spa treatment which includes scrub, total body message a few times over and hair treatment. This is not a super shishi spa but more a communal relaxing Asian style experience. The only time I ever experienced this before was when I went to a bathhouse w/ my aunt when I was 5 years old in Korea! Yes you do have to get naked (briefly) imbetween shower and massage but otherwise you can use a towel or a robe. It is cheaper than other spas and I thought it was fun! read more

Spas like Aroma and Natura are the same price as Olympic and more than 10X cleaner and nicer. I found Olympic to be totally grotty and unsanitary and just to have generally disgusting facilities. Massage is remarkably bad. Front desk service is short tempered. The masseuse rubbed my spine for 30 min and randomly tended to the muscles. My bones are all set - it's the muscles that get tense. Wonderful experience thanks to the tips of helpful yelpers, I knew exactly what to expect! Went for my first time accompanied by friends, one of whom is well versed in the ways of Korean spa-going. Like other yelpers have said, this is not the place for a ritzy spa experience. Don't expect fluffy robes & designer anything. Body scrub sloughed off what felt like 5 pounds of skin, and I feel baby smooth everywhere! And I mean EVERYWHERE! You leave your modesty in the locker you put your shoes in upon entry, & never look back. I was scrubbed in every crevice, crack, and body surface known to man. My facial that followed was absolutely glorious. Much needed extractions, and a mask that dried to a gelatinous mould of my face lulled me to sleep. I love that they don't try to sell you on products or additional services. Spicy ramen in the small cafe after was the cherry on top of a blissful and affordable experience. read more

I've been here, say six times before. I've never expected a warm, overindulgent welcome, or even a tour of the place on my first visit. But yesterday's visit was just no good. Upon arrival, the young acne-ridden woman at the front desk was so very unpleasant and rude to me as I checked in and checked out. I did nothing to induce this behavior, unless greeting her warmly and telling her I have an appointment at 11AM warrants a person's ire. No return hello, no thank yous, no indication that my patronage was welcome even though I just dropped $200 in services up front. She was just burdened by my presence, my existence (and if you're considering it might have been a language/culture issue, she appeared to be a native English speaker). I go to these spas to treat myself, not to be treated like crap by a sulky brat who doesn't know how to show common courtesy. But even as I brushed off this incident to enjoy the important part of my experience (the services I've paid for), I found doing this disappointingly difficult. Two of my three treatments were a notch or two below meh. The scrub, which I normally love, was careless. She grazed very sensitive body parts with the mitts not once, but three times. Wince. My shoulder relief massage was on of the worst massages I've ever had. I am still in pain today because of it. She kept trying to separate these muscles around my shoulder blades with too much pressure, even after I told her that it wasn't working well for me. She had no awareness of touch at all and I wondered if she was even a licensed professional at the end. The one pleasant service was my facial. The technician was pleasant, the experience was relaxing and the results look as expected today. But this one positive aside unfortunately doesn't add up to a good experience for me, and this visit will make it my last at Olympic Spa. read more

I will never come here again, this used to be my favorite spa to come and unwind and relax but the last two times I've been it was SO loud and noisy I absolutely could not relax. It was full of RUDE women socializing and talking loudly in every single area I could not find one spot of silence to meditate or think. when I come with friends we converse in hushed voices and whispers out of respect for the other patrons but apparently this is now a place where they let the customers behave however they want. They used to monitor the noise but I told two different employees about my displeasure with how loud it was and they just looked around helplessly and did nothing. Tonight I left with a headache from the aggravation after spending a hundred dollars on my treatment. I expressed my unhappiness to the lady at the front desk on my way out and she just continue processing my payment with no real response. read more

It was my first time here and i loved it. You walk in put your shoes in a locker then walk over to a larger locker and get completely undressed. I was nervous at first but got over it quickly. A judgment free space. The himalayans salt room was my favorite room. You walk lay down on warn rockd and relax. I got the milk and hone spa ritual. Amazing. The exfoliation felt amazing. She scrubbed all my skin. The maddage was heavenly. The facial was refreshing and the shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing. Yin was so sweet. The jade floor felt amazing. This place is really good and just remodeled, the temp in the salt room is great and they have many amenities. The only issue is occasional noisiness. Even with the signs there' are some who don't realize there voices carry. Been coming to this place for years. Don't be embarrassed due to the "naked" thing. Only a bunch of women relaxing and getting pretty. The entrance to the spa is dirt cheap, but the experience is priceless each and every time. I usually am there about 4 hours each visit! Try the restaurant while you are there. Food is really good. Amazing, relaxing, the best massage I have ever had...have been going for ten years.

I bought the pedicure with callus removal ($35). It was traumatic,to say the least. My feet were barely soaked, in just a regular pan of water.(No jets, no foot spa chair.) When she was working on the cuticle of my big toe, she cut me. She blamed my cuticles for being too thick. I have never heard this before from any manicurist. I get several pedicures a year. Before I could say ow!,she poured some sort of antiseptic over the injury which then caused incredible stinging. My foot automatically recoiled,and plunged itself into the water to stop the stinging. First time anyone ever cut me. I let her proceed with caution. When it came to my 1 callus on the ball of my foot, she got out a sanding type of machine, and proceeded to grind at my callus until she burnt the skin on my foot. Again,she blamed my foot's callus. They then switched to another pedicurist who did a nice job of finishing my $35 pedicure. I am a very good tipper(at least 20%). This time, absolutely no tip. I have never had this happen,but felt that they should know. I was told they would let management know what happened,and said they were sorry,but that was it. However The Olympic Spa facility is lovely,and I have always had a fantastic experience there. read more

This place is the perfect mini getaway to achieve tranquility. I've been going here for years and just love the ambiance and cleanliness of the place. I was there this afternoon and experienced the Nirvana Massage and it was fabulous. The hot himalayan stones do wonders and I felt soooooo relaxed. I love going to this place. Once a week after a stressful worth of weeks work, this place can easily reverse your stress. Mugworth tea pool, the oxygen room with charcoal and infrared heat,salt room and clay room helps remove all the toxins in your body. Their nail salon is awesome. Your nail polish can last up to 3 weeks compare to regular nail salon outside the spa... Its very convenient plus they also have this jade floor that you can relax after all the sweating. You can stay up to whenever.. They also have this honey milk scrub (my favorite) that will make your skin soft and silky... This is highly recommended if you are looking for all girl's spa. I really love this place! I have been going here for a few years and have always loved the experience. Where do I start discussing the wonders of this place? Well, let me just say that when I really want to treat myself, it's off to Olympic Spa. I usually get the Goddess Package, which I highly recommend because it's a full-body treatment that really makes you feel amazing afterwards. The experience includes a full body scrub with a special loofah (which you can purchase at the counter for dirt cheap) which cleans your body like nothing else. I like to use self-tanner a lot and -ladies you use self-tanner know - it takes some real elbow grease to get that stuff off the skin. And no matter what you do, there is no way to get it off certain areas like your back unless you're a contortionist. Enter the scrub-down in the Goddess Package. They lay you naked on this waterproof padded table and scrub you until there's no tomorrow. It is a very vigorous scrub and there are areas that are a little uncomfortable, but feel free to tell them to back off the pressure if it gets too much. Suprisingly, the scrub initially does not include any soap - it's basically a loofah against wet, warm skin. And the amount of dirt and stuff that comes out of your skin is unreal! Needless to say, your skin looks lovely and sooooo soft afterwards. This scrub is followed by a second scrub using some heavenly scented soap, then a full body oiling and massage. Then comes the facial and hair treatment. I have to say that this treatment is lengthy and intense, but worth twice the price they charge for it. Not to mention that they use high quality products, and you get access to the whole spa during your time there. So you can use the baths, jacuzzi, and heated marble floors. By the time I am out of this place, I am in sheer heaven. I cannot recommend it enough! There are some things to note about this place: (Mind you, these are nothing I mind, but you should be aware of before you go) First, the entire Goddess Package and treatments have you fully naked. These Korean ladies who work there are not shy at all and really get in there, and women of all shapes and sizes walk around in the buff with no issue. So if you are uncomfortable with nudity, this place may not be for you. Second, there are a lot of people walking around at all times. This spa experience is not like other posh spas where it's all secluded and dark with soothing music playing in the background. There are ladies all over, most of them chit-chatting over the sound of communal showers and bubbling hot tubs. So it's far from being meditative. Don't get me wrong - I always leave feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated, but it's a unique experience. That being said, I have been going there for roughly 10 years once or twice a year, and have not one bad word to say about the place. I have always loved going there and will continue to do so. this is my go-to place to get pampered without busting the bank!! i love the relaxed , informal vibe. if this place was more "luxury" i dont think i would feel so comfortable spending all day kind of just laying around and letting it all hang out! it's a diverse crowd in here, and very peaceful and smells amazing. the mugwort bath literally, ..........LITERALLY makes my skin glow. as in other people notice. also the food is not to be overlooked. the ahjummas in that kitchen really know their stuff. i reccomend the ddeokdoki for sure. and don't forget to make time to take a nap on the warm jade floor!!! read more

If you want a truly decadent, relaxing and amazing spa day I highly recommend this place!! Easy and free valet parking, gorgeous and clean facilities, lovely spacious lockers, hot and cold pools and saunas, heated toilets and that's just the amenities! I got the pure bliss package and it included the most incredible full body scrub, massage, honey body treatment and facial. I felt like I was floating after that! I'm a vegetarian and found ample options on their menu. The food was truly delicious. Fresh fruit and vegetable juice were also amazing. I can't wait to go back! Having been curious about Korean day spas and after reading many reviews on this place, I finally went and got a Pure Bliss pkg. The complimentary valet parking is nice, and the food in the restaurants looked and smelled good but I didn't get any because the last thing I want to do at a spa is eat. While staff was nice and all the boxes were checked in terms of what's promised, i am giving 3 stars because it was well, A-OK. The pools are small, as many reviewers have mentioned. The mugwort tea pool was not even hot when I got in, it was very warm, but not hot. The steam and oxygen stone rooms were fine to sit and sweat for a while. The much lauded jade floor was a real disappointment. It was barely warm and had a big unplugged TV dumped in the corner. My treatment went over the promised time by a few minutes. I was scrubbed, washed, lotioned, massaged on a big rectangular table covered with what looked like a plastic picnic table cover. The treatment areas are in the main room where the pools and saunas are, and the areas are only blocked by a half wall so you can hear everything going on. And the place was not quiet. I did not see much dead skin being washed away so either I was already pretty exfoliated or she didn't scrub hard enough. Probably the former. Although the length of the treatment and access to facilities are a bargain given the price, I won't be returning because although I wasn't expecting Burke Williams, it was too much like a girls' locker room. read more

my korean friend practically kidnapped me&brought me here1day&omggggg i thought i was gonna die (but in a good way, ok)! i never liked cooking inside steam rooms anyway, but to be in rooms with old korean ladies that smell like bengay&like what they JUST ate outside REALLY crawls up my craw. i get how relaxing it could be&my friend over sold me on1of their steam rooms that was made of some type of special stone that's supposed to be amazing for my skin, but i would've much preferred a painful shiatsu massage than sitting here sweating. maybe it's an acquired thing! read more

What is this magical, special place? It's amazing. I saw it on an episode of Amazon's Transparent tv show and had to check it out. This is a women-only Korean spa. There are lockers for shoes when you first enter, then another locker area for clothing and purses. Guests are given a robe, towel and a rubber wrist band (with a number & electronic locker code) to wear during the visit. Arrive early before treaments to shower, soak in jacuzzi or mugwort tea bath, steam in steam room or try the three saunas. I had the Bliss package and it really was blissful: an intense body scrub, nice massage, several oils and creams are applied, a facial, a mask and your hair is washed. The restaurant was fresh and delicious. I had a vegetarian ramen bowl and it came with sides of tofu, kimchi, bean sprouts and sauces. You can stay here for hours. They have two elevated stages/rooms with heated jade tiles to relax on. They also offer nail services and waxing. The only reason I am rating them 4 instead of 5 stars is for a few little areas that could be fixed: the front is not the entrance and our Uber driver didn't know-we had to walk around the block but it was closed off to the right, so then we had to walk around the other way. It should be posted on the website and when you recieve your confirmation email & call that the entrance is in the back alley. We would have liked a quick tour, as we had never been, and it would have been nice to have the wrist band locker code explained to us. Overall, this place is a magical, wonderful gem.
