I was in town and wanted to go to the Korean spa. I had good memories of going to Olympic some years ago. This is a women-only Korean spa and bathhouse. My friend and I booked the Goddess package, which is the most complete. You arrive early to soak in the hot tubs (which were not as hot as my last review indicated), and then are taken back to the wet massage area. After a very thorough scrub and wash, you are massaged, and you also have your hair washed, and they do an anti-aging face mask. It was about $220, which is a little more expensive than I remember, but that's about an hour and forty-five minutes of service. I did feel like if I went back, I'd probably try one of the shorter services. You don't have to have cash for a tip, because they put the tip on your bill, and you can pay with your credit card. I didn't hang out in any of the saunas, just in the mood for a hot tub. They did have a nice, tranquil outside area as well. Also, they had a cafe that had some snacks and water, and also a sign saying you can order food. I didn't get the name of the person who did my service, but she was great! I've been coming to Olympic Spa for more than ten years, which is why it's sad to say but I won't be returning due to my most recent experience. A month in advance, I booked what I understood to be a reflexology foot massage for Father's Day. I'd been walking over 20,000 steps a day all week, my calves were sore, and I had been looking forward to having my feet worked on for weeks. The massage lasted 85 minutes. Throughout the treatment, I kept wondering when they were going to start working on my feet. They never did. Aside from minimal contact, my feet were essentially untouched. When the massage ended, I assumed I must have misunderstood what reflexology was. After the treatment, I went to the front desk and asked whether I could book a foot massage that same day because I still wanted one. The receptionist pointed to the reflexology treatment on the menu and said that was the foot massage. I told her I had just received that treatment and no one had touched my feet. That's when she informed me that she had accidentally marked me down for a shiatsu massage instead. I don't know how that happened. I booked online a month in advance. At that point, I was extremely frustrated. I had waited a month for this appointment, paid nearly $200, and spent 85 minutes receiving a completely different treatment than the one I specifically scheduled. What made it even more frustrating was that I also had a Pure Bliss treatment later that day, one of the spa's more expensive services. That treatment already included a back massage. I had intentionally planned the day around receiving both a full-body massage and a dedicated foot massage. Instead, because of this persons error, I essentially paid for two almost identical massages while the part of my body that actually needed attention received almost none. I asked whether there was any way the spa could make the situation right. I was told management would discuss it and let me know by the end of the day. When I checked back after my final treatment, I was informed that they would give me a 20% discount. The problem is that Olympic Spa already adds a mandatory 20% gratuity to treatments. So the "discount" amounted to removing the gratuity rather than reducing the price of the service itself. I still paid full price for a treatment I never requested and never intended to book. What disappointed me most wasn't the scheduling mistake. Mistakes happen. It was the way the mistake was handled after it was discovered. I never received the treatment I booked, the issue wasn't identified until after the service was complete, and the proposed solution felt more symbolic than meaningful. Sadly, this experience also reflects a broader decline I've noticed over the years. Olympic Spa has never quite been the same since COVID. I understand the challenges businesses have faced and I'm genuinely impressed that Olympic survived when so many others didn't. But longtime customers have watched prices climb while amenities have steadily disappeared. Day passes that once cost around $20 are now closer to $60. The waxing services are gone. The nail salon is gone. The kitchen is gone. Even the pricing on the website can feel misleading, with member pricing emphasized while the actual non-member cost is significantly higher. For years I happily overlooked those changes because I loved Olympic Spa. This experience changed that though. Father's Day can already be an emotional day for many people, especially those who've lost theirs. I had planned this visit weeks in advance as a day of relaxation and self-care, and instead I left feeling frustrated, dismissed, and taken advantage of. If you loved Olympic spa in the past because it was a calm, authentic, reasonably priced place to soak in not only amazing pools and saunas but also in Korean culture, join the club. Olympic used to have mugwort soak, places to scrub yourself and to get to know the community. They had mats readily available to lie in the heated floor and the best broccoli dish at the restaurant. And they were $30 foot a simple soak. You learned to whisper, shower before dipping, and to put up long hair while getting to know about Korean bathing culture. It was a ritual experience. No more mugwort, scrubbing stools, or mats, or restaurant. Now it's $60 to go to a place with seemingly Caucasian women's silhouettes on all the literature, Costco granola bars and plastic wrapped fruit. There was obviously a strategy in changing the business model to cater to rich white ladies. I can't be mad at them for wanting to make a buck. But now it's less homey Korean spa and more whitewashed and sterile. Again, you do you. It was just a big change in vibe and cost. The new ice room and patio are fantastic. They kept the buckwheat tea. It's still sparkling clean. But for the new price, the trade off is not worth it. This is a beautiful spa. The amenities are beautiful and well maintained. Unfortunately the service I received during my last visit was less than ideal. As others have mentioned, 'spa etiquette' is not enforced and some of the other women who go here speak loudly on their phones or wear bathing suits or take photos in nude/ dressing areas. This can make enjoying the nice amenities difficult. I received the goddess treatment and my friend received pure bliss. The massage area was semi-private but I was cold during the treatment. and I did not see the benefits I usually see after scrub treatments I've received at other Korean spas. The treatment was also shorter than I paid for despite spending more than 10 minutes in the steam room trying to warm up midway. Being cold and naked is not the norm during a scrub/ massage treatment. Most spas will use warmed products and towels to make the experience more comfortable. I would hope that spas that include gratuity automatically would offer more accomodation. That was not our experience here. There are other spas in the area that offer better services for a better price. BUT if you're going during a less busy time just for the amenities it could be worth it. read more

They would not let them in because they have an X-designation on their drivers license. This is against the law. When we showed them the law, they still said no. I have been to countless gender segregated places with this friend--other spas, gyms, etc. it has never been a problem. WOW, just WOW! So, I got invited here by my bonus mom as a wedding gift to myself. That same day she told me that it was an "ALL female" establishment if you know what I mean. I am talking about YOU in your birthday suit soaking up all the relaxation you could possibly imagine. I was beyond terrified at first because I clearly did not know what to expect. You are given a robe, an endless supply of towels and slippers. Once I got comfortable the experience was magical. Nothing like being lathered in essential oils and being flipped over like a rotisserie chicken on a massage table. I was impressed. I not only left the place feeling like a million dollars I also had such a confidence I didn't know existed. I highly recommend this place. I enjoyed the outside patio area. I went here as a birthday treat. Facility is okay, and front staff are really friendly. After receiving a scrub, a staff came up to me saying that I have scratch marks, "but it's not due to the treatment". I said it was fine, thinking it's just one. (Thinking back now, I think they're just trying to cover their ass). However after getting home and showering, I noticed A LOT of long and linear scratch marks on my stomach, back, and butt. My husband thinks it's either from her nail or from a tag of the scrubber. This was my first time trying out this spa and will most likely never return. read more

Enjoyed my experience here, with the exception of the salt and oxygen therapy red light rooms. Those floors were way too hot on the feet to step in barefoot! Also, the hot pools were equally way too dang hot!! I wish they posted the temperatures on each pool. One had salt and the other was regular chlorinated jacuzzi water. But both felt scalding hot! In addition, the entrance fee for using all the amenities as a day spa cost $60 per person, which I guess is ok. But I only spent 2 hours there. It was kind of busy on a weekday, Wed. afternoon after 2 pm! By around 4-ish, the pools were empty. Would like to try the facials, massages or scrubbing services, but honestly they were very expensive. Most were around $200. The ahjumas wore black swimwear (pool area for scrubbing) or massage scrub clothing to differentiate the staff. The cold pool was too cold for me. It was hard for me to take full dips into the 3 main pools because of the vast temperature differences. Also, they're kind of small sized pools. They provide rubber slippers which they clean. You get a main locker with an easy scanner bracelet, but separate shoe lockers aren't locked. Just remember your shoe locker number and you get your clean slippers from inside the locker first. All the women are nakey! But the great stuff -- I did like the plentiful fruit, essenced water everywhere and barley hot tea. They had a nice, iced & wet cold lavender facial towel. Felt so nice to drape on when I took a nap on the heated floor. I really liked the ice cold room, refreshing. They also have an outside gathering patio or an indoor lounge one where you could eat some snacks, even chicken ramen cup noodles! All included. Unlimited towel usage, regular and facial sizes. We also get 1 robe. $15 for the garter wrap around towel. The showers have nice, strong pressures! Walking around the entire spa, even through the hallway entrance, it smelled wonderful of charcoal and other woody aromas! Overall, I still liked it. It's clean. Cleaner than the unisex but with clothes on, Wi Spa (that place is disgusting now). Might come back here though. 2 small-ish parking lots. Lot 1 is valet parking for $3. I have never used any of the wet or personal services - just the saunas, tubs, and rooms and everytime we have gone they have been wonderful. The hot and cold contrast tubs and the steam sauna and the ice room really do give you the contrast therapy experience. I also really enjoy the salt room. I booked a spa day for 11 AM, its 4th of July and spa is pretty empty. i come to the desk check in pay the fee and on the clock its 10.54 AM. i just go a look around at face masks thinking which one to buy as the attendant while giving me bracelet points out that they can not accommodate early arrivals but i can still go in. my reaction was like what early arrivals? it's 5 min early. like do you expect me to wait in the parking lot? she immediately said oh it's just a company policy. Sorry, but if your policy is to offend me you definitely succeeded. Olympic Spa is my newest obsession. I had no idea these types of spas existed in LA and I'm so happy I found them. Their customer service is top notch - from the front desk to the therapists and even the valet. Their facility is incredibly clean. They make sure to walk any newcomers through the rules and they're also posted as a simple reminder right when you walk inside. The most important part of my experience is how safe I felt - they don't allow cameras/videos in specific areas and it's a women-only spa. I've had wonderful experiences all of the times I've paid a visit so far. They don't have a kitchen/food court like other spas, but bonus points for the cup of ramen and other snacks they have available. read more

One of the best massages I've had in LA. And that's saying a lot, because I'm a serious massage lover. The salt sauna is incredibly calming - like a form of meditation. The scent in the room is so pure and natural, it's hard to put into words. I just wish it were possible to capture a scent or a feeling in a photo. I came to Olympic Spa for a personal spa day. I read their website before coming to the spa, and made a reservation online. When I arrived to the spa, I was shocked that they had valet parking ($3 cash only, $4 Venmo or Zelle), which is not listed online. They did not take credit or debit cards, which was frustrating to me. However, I was grateful that Venmo and Zelle were options, as I had no cash on me. He also wanted me to pay before I left my keys with him, which I thought was strange. When I left the spa, the valet forgot I paid and wanted me to pay again. I had to show him my Venmo to verify I already paid. When I got into the tub area, there were several women who were speaking at a loud volume and not abiding by spa etiquette. It was to the point where I left the sauna and went into another area, hoping to have some peace and quiet. Another person even noted the volume of the people; it was a Wednesday morning and I did not expect it to be so noisy at this time. On the plus side, the people who were there were diverse and friendly. When I was in one of the hot tubs, I lifted my arm out and someone's hair was on my arm. I promptly left that hot tub. They also do not have a kitchen, so I had to DoorDash for lunch. I was trying to be understanding, as many businesses suffered from the COVID-19 lockdown, and I wanted to support a local spa for women. Though it wasn't a 5 star experience, it was for me a 3 star experience until the next day when I got a yeast infection. I have been to multiple Korean spas and I have never had this happened to me. I am now uncomfortable and frustrated that I had to deal with this. I did not see many people shower, and the spa etiquette was not enforced. Now that I have a yeast infection, I am also wondering how frequently the pools/ water in the pools are cleaned. I had a good time at this spa a year ago with a friend who bought me a gift card. I used my debit card to pay a $20 tip at the end of the spa day. Big mistake. Fast forward to this week, when a mysterious large charge came thru on my checking account from Olympic Spa. And then a phone call from my bank that my card was used for over $1000 of charges in Houston. I can't be certain, but I have a strong suspicion that an employee with access to the spa's database stole my card number. When I called to dispute the charge, they were able to look up my name, address, phone number and card number in their computer. Why did they need all that info just for a $20 tip? Thankfully they did issue a refund, but I had to create an entire new bank account, freeze all of my credit, and scrub my passwords across the entire internet. The owner was very kind and helpful. Two nice sized hot soaking tubs plus a cold plunge, a variety of sauna and steam rooms to cycle through, and spaces to relax. I particularly enjoyed the salt room. I had a hot stone massage, but it was pretty mediocre. Not enough hot stone and too aggressive on my tight muscles. As other reviews have noted, the price point is high for what you get. I had a half day to kill in LA before flying back home to SF so I figured I'd try out one of the Korean spas! I've been to Korean spas in Korea but never in the US but have heard lots of good reviews about the ones in LA. I chose this location as it seemed small enough that I could check out the whole spa in the time that I had and also liked that it was women only. I booked the Glass Skin Akasuri because you obviously have to get scrubbed down if you're going to a Korean spa!!! I entered the spa quite a bit before my appointment to check out all the amenities including the sauna, steam room, salt room, lounges, veranda, and the various pools. The hot pools were amazing because they were SO HOT. American spas do not make them that hot LOL but the Korean ones are so much hotter it was amazing. Loved alternating that with the cold plunge and ice room. The salt room was also great for a little nap. They also had cold towels and cucumbers and beverages all over the spa as well. They ask that you sit in one of the hot tubs for about 10min before your scrub to prep the skin. The scrub was amazing! Typical Korean style scrub where ajumas are scrubbing you down, pouring water on you, telling you when to turn and move your arms/legs. Chaotic but in the best way possible! Skin felt baby soft afterwards! Took a shower, used the lounge to get ready afterwards, and then headed to LAX to go home! read more

This was my first time at a spa! Newby here but loved every minute of it. My daughter selected this for my birthday gift, it was a special treat from her which I appreciate. We each got a deep tissue massage, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I was amazed and wowed! This is a Korean spa with lovely Korean ladies who pamper you completely head to toe. My skin feels great, my entire body feels relaxed and I feel wonderful and soft. I did try the various spas, they had so many to choose from. One of my favorite was the ice spa. But there were many, the relaxation room was great too. They do offer lots of spa packages, facials and treatments. I will come back to try one of the scrubs and a facial next time. Highly recommend! They admitted that they do provide a 15 min grace period, just conveniently not for that day. Tried to reduce a 40 min treatment to 20. Very unprofessional when they tried to inform us of that in the locker room surrounded by naked women. Could've handled better. This is reliably a great place to wind down and de-stress, with a variety of treatments that heal the soul. Minus 1 star though for 2 reasons: 1) no enforcement of quiet zones. So you may be able to relax, but more likely there will be sorority girls chitchatting animatedly destroying your peace... and staff doesn't shhh them. It's rude all around, it should be a quiet zone, or there should be dedicated talking areas. 2) most recent visit, my therapist in the wet room had HORRIFIC onion/ garlic breath, to the point it was making me nauseous. Not sure why there's so many bad reviews about this place. I find it funny that people are complaining about the 20% tip when this spa is literally located in LA, what do you expect? Also, the staff here are also very hardworking and deserve it 100%! I booked the pure bliss treatment not having an idea of what I was getting myself into, since I've never been to a korean spa nevertheless a nude one! Although I've heard nothing but positive feedback so that's why I still gave it a try. The place itself is very nice and spacious. I had an appointment first thing in the morning on saturday but the place gets pretty packed! If you prefer less crowds it's probably best to go during the weekday at off hours. For the pure bliss treatment, you first start off by taking a shower. Remember to tie up your hair! I didn't know until a staff member told me after it had gotten wet. After that you need to either go in the sauna or hot tub for 15 mins. Try not to go over 15 mins unless you can handle it! I stayed a little after 15 mins and started to feel nauseous and light headed. There are many water stations for you to access to stay hydrated as well. After that one of the staff members will call your number and begin the treatment. It's a bit awkward at first since being nude around strangers isn't really a thing for me, but there's some privacy walls in the area where they scrub you down. She first scrubs my whole body to get all the dead skin off. After that they use body wash and ask that you use the shower again to wash off your body. Once that's finished, you come back and get your body oiled accompanied by a massage. A face mask is also included with a head wash (shampoo/conditioner). After she was done, she wrapped up my hair and body into a towel and I was ready to enjoy the rest of the amenities. There are many rooms here such as the salt room, ice room, sauna and so much more. For those worried about being nude; you only have to be nude in the treatment rooms/ hot tub. You are able to walk around the whole spa with a robe on. However some people did walk around the whole spa nude (which is ok too, whatever you're comfortable with). Also, it's not like you're the ONLY one nude, everyone else is there for the same reason so just let loose and relax! Overall I loved it, I had a great experience. I honestly thought I wasn't going to like it but I can't wait to come back! My skin felt so soft and squeaky clean afterwards. There's also an area where you can blow dry your hair and get ready for your day. This was perfect since I was going out for some tea time afterwards with some friends. Just remember to bring your makeup/ other necessities as they only provide minimal toiletries. read more

I recently visited, Olympic (women only) Spa, and indulged in their aptly named "Pure Bliss" package. Here's a detailed account of my experience: I was advised to arrive 45 minutes early to prepare myself mentally for the unique experience ahead. The spa environment encourages you to be completely comfortable with being naked, which might be a bit daunting at first but is an integral part of the experience. Upon arrival, you are given a locker number. First, you place your shoes in the first set of lockers and put on rubber slippers. Then, head to the second set of lockers to change into a robe. The journey begins with a mandatory shower, after which you can choose between the cold pool, relaxation pool, or salt pool. Each pool offers a different type of relaxation and rejuvenation. I found the relaxation pool to be incredibly warm and soothing. You also have the option to explore the various hot and cold saunas and clay rooms. Each one had its own unique benefits and atmosphere, adding layers of relaxation and detoxification to the experience. I opted to soak in the pool until my number was called. Ms. Im provided my treatment. The highlight of the spa experience is the famous Akasuri Body Scrub. This thorough exfoliation left my skin feeling unbelievably smooth. It was followed by a citrus jojoba bead body polish that felt both invigorating and calming. Note, they start with your back, then front and then side to side; in-depth scrub and warm water rinse. The session then transitioned into a full Korean rapid lymphatic massage with their own aromatherapy oil blend. This massage technique was unlike any I've had before, instantly relieving my tired body and releasing tension I didn't even know I had. You can request a more moderate massage if you prefer. Next was a stimulating essential oil scalp massage that was a treat for my senses, followed by a botanical facial massage and a Vitamin C mask. This combination left my skin feeling fresh and revitalized. To top it all off, my hair was washed and conditioned, ensuring I left the spa feeling completely rejuvenated from head to toe. Overall, the Pure Bliss experience at Olympic Spa is a holistic journey of relaxation and rejuvenation. Each step is thoughtfully designed to pamper and revitalize you, making it well worth the visit. My best K spa experience by far. Olympic is so clean, and because you can freely grab towels at any time, you don't end up having to use an already damp towel to try to dry off at the end of your time there, which can happen at places that only give you one or two small towels. The variety of pools and saunas is excellent. The steam room smells amazing, and so does the clay sauna. The wifi works great, and I spent a whole day alternating between doing the whole spa thing and then sitting on the veranda in my robe (it's completely surrounded by hedges so very private even though you're outside) working on my laptop. They have free snacks all over -- apples, granola bars, M&M's, cup o noodles, etc. And a variety of teas, and water infused with citrus and cucumber. I didn't even get a service the day I was there and it was absolutely amazing and I left feeling so good. Oh! Also. The water pressure in the showers is amazing, and they have free toothbrushes and toothpaste and mouthwash. I mean Olympic really has it all, it's just so good. read more

Massage Service - 7/10. The massage itself was good, but not worth the price. The room itself doesn't have any relaxing music playing, which personally I think would help to decompress. Spa - the etiquette is non existent. If someone is alone, great because they have no one to speak to. But you'll notice people who come in groups talk so loudly and chat the whole time. I also wish people would follow the rules in regard to showering before entering the pools. I think the staff could be better when it comes to reminding guests on spa etiquette and explaining the process during check in. I booked a appointment for me and my friend, she had the K-pop treatment and I have the deep tissue massage. We had showed up 30 minutes before appointment and as soon as we walked up the manager at the front desk already had an attitude from the start, I didn't wanna say anything because we just wanted to enjoy the day and start our treatment. She had took her IDs and had us sign and each of us had to have our own separate credit card on file, which was weird because I had booked the appointment so I already had my credit card on file but my friend needed to put hers on file as well. That was fine. We went ahead and did that and then she had given us our bracelets for our treatment. We had another group of three more girls with us but they had booked their own separate appointments so in total, there was five of us. Everyone had to prep for their treatment so they had to go to the steam room and shower up. I had a massage so I didn't have to do that but as soon as we got into the locker room, which by the way, this is a nude facilities, so everyone's walking around naked. Just fine we're all woman. Everyone was basically rushing us calling us by our number which I think they should be calling us by treatment because of what happened. They had mixed up me and my friends treatment. I ended up getting the K-pop and she ended up getting the deep tissue massage. I had tried telling the therapist in the beginning, but there's a huge language barrier and they don't understand what you're saying and I kind of felt pressured to just go with it instead of her, listening to my concern because she was just rushing me to start the treatment. My friend did the same in the beginning of her appointment. She had told her therapist is she sure because she was told that she was hot to shower. She had the K-pop treatment and her therapist said oh I don't know the name of treatment there was a language barrier there as well.. After I got done with my treatment, I saw my friend in the locker room, and we had put two into it together that they switched our treatments and when we went to the front desk to let them know, they did not apologize. They were very defensive and very rude. The manager at the front desk did not want to admit that they switched up our treatments. They tried to blame it on us telling us how we didn't tell the therapist when we did, and then accused us of switching our bracelets. Why would we switch our bracelets for services that we did not request? It was so disrespectful and degrading.. I had to tell them to check their cameras to see that they gave us the wrong bracelets and after they check their cameras, that's when they said they'll give us 50% off our service. They did not apologize or own up to their mistake. They still had an attitude after they realize that I was not going back down because it was their fault. Horrible service I would not go again. I felt like I was in a brothel and not in a spa. These prices are way too expensive to be treated like this. I would not recommend this place to anyone, the amenities are nice, but the actual treatment is luxurious or spa like. They're doing your treatment while you're completely naked in front of like 20 to 30 people. read more

I've been here 3-4 times and have loved every other experience. This time around, I felt the price was not worth the low quality environment. This K Spa is 2x the price of every other one in the area, and while it does offer some nice extras like snacks, the ambiance has lost all quality. The staff does not properly educate guests on spa etiquette or enforce it, resulting in disgusting habits. I watched a bunch of people get into the shared tubs without showering first, wearing their outdoor shoes inside the wet room, and wearing their spa slippers inside the pools. I watched one woman put her feet/shoes all over the bar that guides guests into the pool. I watched another eat snacks inside of the red oxygen room. The guests are noisy, and have 0 consideration for the fact that the wet room is made of tile so the acoustics make everything extra loud. When I told staff about this, they had nothing to say except 'sorry'. Why would anyone spend twice the price on an experience that is lower quality than the KSpa that's 100ft down the road and has more spa-tivities? Overall, I'm disappointed and will not be coming back. This used to be the best KSpa, now is the most over priced. read more
