Buyer beware. The fillet mignon steaks apparently use meat glue to compress tidbits of relatively good tasting beef parts into the shape of a fillet. I suspect the tidbits are tenderloin leftover pieces they glue and shape into a steak they sell as "Filet Mignon". The four filets crumbled in the protective plastic so I threw them in a stirfry. The meat tasted good but should never have been sold as sections of tenderloin. Tidbits glued together of what may have at once been tenderloin is more realistic. read more

The website was not functioning so I called the 800 number. Unfortunately, the CSR did not complete the order (re shipping address) when the call dropped. I called again and the CSR was able to find my order, but he said he had to transfer me to another department to correct the shipping address. The 3rd CSR was very slowwwww. He had a hard time understanding the difference between a billing address and a shipping address. Also, he failed to grasp the concept that the name on the shipping address is different than the name on the billing address. read more

Please STOP USING FEDEX or we will stop ordering from you. UPS was way better always delivered our order on time and in the morning and never had any issues. Fedex never delivers on time causing our order to be spoiled meaning we have to call you to resend another order out. Right now our order is 2 days late meaning whenever it does arrive it will be rotten meat and this time we are getting refunded unless you ship our order through UPS. Long story short they advertised a deal for 12 free hamburgers with a purchase of $19 or more. However they refused to honor this because I used groupon with my purchase, despite still spending about $40 beyond the groupon deal. read more

The UPS truck broke down causing a 3 day delay and I called Omaha to ask if I could pick up the order at my local Omaha and they said no b/c on their end it says the end of the day which isn't true so in 3 days, I'll get bad meat. Awful and never again!!!!! read more

I have ordered from Omaha Steaks in the past and each time the quality was poor and I had to request a refund/or exchange. I decided to place another order from an ad they had on TV and in the newspaper. Big mistake! The quality is worse then ever - and I was hoping for a pleasant experience this time around. 1 - Burgers were thin, tasteless , and tough. 2 - All 4 Filets were thin, with gristle running through the middle and extremely tough. 3 - The Pork Chops were thin, dry, and very tough - tossed out . 4 - Meat Balls were salty, spongy, and not at all good. 5 - Top Sirloins were also thin, tough with gristle and tasteless. 6 - Carmel Apple Tartlets were good, sweet apples and tasty crust. 7 - Potato's Au Gratin were tasty but very small (about 3 bites each). 8 - Will not eat the Kielbasa Sausages - they look so bad. It's really a shame that a company this big can send out such bad products - the pictures in the print ads and the steaks shown on the TV presentation were big, thick, red, and wonderful looking -especially the filets--- - what was received was just plain false advertising! I did not want to experience the poor phone service from the operators and just sent an email to the company explaining my displeasure etc. They immediately replied with an offer to credit my credit card MINUS the extremely high shipping charge ($17 is a high shipping fee). I am currently in my 3rd hour waiting on hold to cancel an order. I placed an order, and forgot to put the coupon code I received as a repeat customer. I found it within 5 minutes of placing my order, and went to the "help center" to try to modify and/or cancel my order. Apparently you can't do either on line. I called in to modify my order, and it's been 3 hours. I would call this ridiculous in 2018 to not be able to go on line and modify an order. It's even more ridiculous waiting on hold 3 hours. Soooo not impressed. We threw away the split lobster tails on skewers because the color just did NOT look right after we cooked it and we were scared to eat them. The filet mignon was nothing special. I've eaten better at Outback- certainly did not seem aged for 30 days. The only things that were good were the desserts. If only I could give ZERO stars!! Absolutely the worst customer service and inept staff. I placed an order online and was offered a 15% discount on my first order with OS. So I placed my order and used (3) gift cards as part of payment and since I used gift cards to pay for the majority of my order, I was precluded from getting the 15% discount. They consider using gift cards as an offer and you can not use two offers in any one transaction. This is what I was told when I called customer service. Disappointing: Skillet Meal Sampler Pack The Good: Selection of meals; on-line ordering experience. Quick to prepare. The Meh: Value - even at 50% off it's not a good deal because a) original pricing is in no relation to value and b) portion sizes (see below) The Not So Good: Environmentally disastrous packaging, styro-foam box, card-board boxes for each meal plus thick plastic bags. Portion sizing 2-3? Really? 1.5 at the most - hence the nutritional data, which is almost impossible to find on-line is misleading. Flavor is okay but I had to add some sea salt and pepper - and my dish had lots of sauce which would have completely destroyed the meal - made it too thick and yes, look more than what it is. If you like meal-delivery (and I tried them all), I recommend Dinner Thyme Marketplace - no gimmicks, good food, and also frozen. read more

I have always been selective about what I buy from Omaha Steaks and thus I am very happy - especially with the Customer Service - and you can get better prices if you just ASK for them. The individually wrapped Strip Steaks (I like the bone-in) and Rib Eyes are great. I am less thrilled with filet mignon - but I am not a filet lover. The chicken kievs are excellent. We re received these as a gift from my in laws. Of the whole $50 package, very little is actual meat and only two steaks which came gray in color. We were too afraid to actually eat them as they looked really old and poisonous. Of course, it's a clever scheme, when you think about it. Just ordered 2 selections that were advertised on TV. Seems the website directs your attention away from what you want to order with many pop ups, refusing a valid credit card and order completion seemed short one item that was advertised. My original first try was a call. The operator seemed to be unenthusiastic and not very helpful. Very boring..... I've ordered once before and had the same feeling about being diverted away from the advertised special. Because of this I haven't ordered for several years. Good evening, I ordered 3 packages for loved ones for Christmas @ about $80 a pop. Unfortunately one did not arrive. this one was for my Mother. Ok I did not give it much thought, things happen, I get it. I emailed customer service that one of my orders did not arrive and needs to be figured out. 24hrs latter I get a reply that Yes it was delivered. I responded that No it did not and it needs resolved. I revived a call a week latter stating that it was sent to a different city but same street that was not on the order. Long story short is they stated there was nothing they could do but would be happy to resend the order for another $80. Not make it right. Not for a discount, but full price. BEWARE of deceptive emails and price changes. Yesterday, I placed my first order with Omaha Steaks. When I checked my email, I had received a $25 off offer because I signed up for company email. I called customer support and was told I'd have to cancel my order and re-do it using that email link. OK, that's an inconvenient thing to ask your customer to do but I cancelled. I spent FOREVER trying unsuccessfully to reconstruct my order via the email link forcing me to call customer service again. ONE HOUR LATER here's the bottom line, yes they can reconstruct my order at the same prices I had on my original order (albeit with no less than 3 times on hold to find the right codes to get the same pricing), but they could never find the $25 off email code. Even a Supervisor couldn't find a code finally saying I'd have to use the email link. And why can't I recreate the order? Because the email LIMITS the products you can order and can apply the $25 off to (with no mention in the email of "limited product selections"). After all this, the Supervisor wasn't even empowered by management to make the customer happy with a $25 you spent over an hour on the phone because we don't tell our staff what we're doing, discount. Even if the meat is good, these is bad and deceptive practices and doesn't deserve my business in the future. read more

The steaks and other items I received were great. The steaks were tender and easy to defrost. Love the convenience of having them flash frozen in wrap that allows you to defrost easily. The hamburgers were great, not having a lot of grease after frying them. They are the best and delicious. Our family has been purchasing for years and enjoy everything that we have received. I had purchased prime steaks from Costco and they were so tough and something I will never purchase there again. Great customer service and products cannot be denied. read more

The steaks are OK, but the other offerings are average or below average. I purchased a variety of beef products, pork, fish and chicken for convenience in the early days of the pandemic. Everything arrived frozen and nicely packed. I took advantage of two different "deals" and got a cookbook and some knives. However, the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried chicken were disappointing. The bistro cod had to be deep-fried to get rid of a fishy-taste. Burgers and seasoned salmon were nothing special. But the bacon-wrapped filet and other steaks were good but not better than Costco or Wegman's. The pricing was not too bad but they were offering "deals" and I was looking for convenience during the pandemic lockdown last year. The best thing was the caramel apple tarts. A gift from my father for X-mas. I get better at the local meat market. Apple tarts and twice-baked potatoes are about the only things decent. Not sure if im just used to a good amount of fat content in my burgers but these were terrible. Hot dogs were just ok, top sirloin was tough and not what I expected at all. When choosing filets from the market I have never picked filets with that much visible fat. Tender and tasty after grilling them. *** Three Stars #4 Chicken Breasts were small. They tasted fine. Tender. Prepared fried. ***Three Stars #5 Kielbasa was terrible. Skin was unusually tough and hard to chew. Noticibly prepared with boney and fatty pieces in it. While chewing repeatedly kept biting down on pieces of hard bone and fat. Bad Quality through and through. Omaha Steaks should discontinue their Kielbasa. *One Star #6 Apple Desserts (forgot exact promotional name) Both my girl and I had stomach issues from these. After the second evening in a row eating these after dinner for a late snack, we both noticed the onset of stomach pains and nausea. They lacked flavor. We're very small. Kind of dry. *One Star Stick to what you do best...Steaks. Increase the size of your portions. They are ridiculously small. Watch how much visible fat appears on your filets. Supermarket butchers are making what you mail to shame. These issues will eventually destroy your reputation and loyal customer base. Get back to being the best not the biggest...mentality. Bad, bad, bad! My "Bacon-wrapped filet mignon" had grizzle running through the middle of it. Taste and texture was all wrong. I think they took some other cut and wrapped bacon around it. My order sat in their office for 4 days before shipping. It arrived on the lengthy schedule they gave me, but most of that time was spent sitting in their office and warehouse. Any vendor that can't ship within two days isn't managing their process efficiently for the customer. About their customer service: it took 45 minutes on hold to reach a representative on day 3 of waiting for my order to ship. They told me the order had already shipped when in fact their own website showed the order status as still processing. Also they don't tell you that they're going to bill you a significant shipping and handling charge. You don't see that shipping charge until the end of the order, and by then you've spent so much time going through all the ordering process and rejecting all the ads to buy more useless products that it's wasted even more of your time. No good customer service! Don't order from them, they're only a marketing company. read more

I bought a Groupon as a 2018 Christmas gift and when I went to the Beavercreek, OH store in The Greene a week before Christmas to pick it up they very rudely said "Is that a Groupon? Well, we don't have any to sell you". The clerk didn't offer any explanation nor did she make any suggestions. After I asked for clarification she just said we MAY have some on December 29! Oh, well there went our surprise gift. So, I was stuck just giving my relatives a piece of paper with the Groupon redemption info on it and they had to go 40 minutes out of their way pick it up themselves in the Columbus OH are at the Polaris store. As soon as I processed my order, I noticed the price I was charged is $116! I held on the phone for over an hour, and I have submitted 2 emails. Still no human to talk to at this company.
