Stopped in on a Saturday night around 7 for date night and a birthday celebration. We were promptly sat and our waitress was friendly. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted to eat and I appreciate we were not rushed at all! We ordered drinks, multiple sushi pieces, an entree, and dessert! Everything was good, but nothing was great honestly. I though the yuzu sake soba was underwhelming given the rave reviews the waitress gave. Maybe we'll go back and try the omokase since it's a beautiful space and quiet enough for a romantic night out.i also appreciated the complimentary edamame and the cute birthday sundae.

Wow! From the start to the end was a 5 experience! Food was delicious, fresh, well presented. We had been in several Japanese restaurants and I can say this has been one of the best! My wife's birthday celebration here was a fantastic experience, the ice cream and the Dubai chocolate crepes was amazing too We are a sushi eating family and this is a place that mesmerized us. Highly recommended

Best sushi in town. Peaceful, authentic, and great service. The sushi is stunning and delicious! Sit at the sushi bar near Fred. He's so fun to watch.

Ok guys, you have to come here and see Julian, the greatest bartender we've encountered in a while!! This location has only been open four weeks. There is another location iIn Chevy Chase. This location is next to Chipotle and Playa Bowls behind the new Publix location. We were newbies when it came to Sushi but Julian helped guide us and we got the blue fin tuna along with the crab and shrimp rolls. The presentation was artwork (see pics) Oh and the cocktails were amazing. Of course my husband, the miller lite drinker had to try a Japanese beer but he managed as I experienced a leechee martini and an orgasm drink (yep, you read that right!) Before we left, we were told to check out the bathrooms . Definitely Japanese. Enough said!

Went for engagement celebration and did not disappoint! All of the food was very fresh, service was quick and friendly, and ambiance is welcoming. Omakase set gives a great variety to try various palate combinations that you normally wouldn't experience at a standard sushi restaurant. Best quality sashimi in Lexington by far, equally as good as their Chevy Chase location.

We ordered raw oysters, fish and chips, chicken tenders, and fresh-sliced tomatoes. Everything was fantastic, and the service was excellent from start to finish. You can really tell they care about both the food and the experience. I completely forgot to take pictures of our food because we were too busy enjoying it! Ketch is definitely a new go-to for us when we're visiting UK's campus, which is just a short drive away. We'll absolutely be back!

Atmosphere was quite loud due to the acoustics and everything is hard surfaces. Including chairs. I like a comfortable chair instead of the 'we're going to make it so hard you won't out stay your welcome'. Service was very good and prices equally reasonable especially for the amount of food served. We weren't starving, but had a full to-go box between our two meals. The food was in the average category even though everything was well prepared and presented. (Hot/fresh). Just not a lot of flavor. Hush puppies decent but not much taste. Coconut fried shrimp about the same. Had to use the dipping sauce for flavor. Fries are fries. Cheese grits not very tasty and were bland sprinkled with a little cheese. Thicker than mortar! Key lime pie was excellent despite I'm not sure if they used key limes. Appears homemade with some actual zest on top. Although not 'limey' enough, good crust and custard base. Atmosphere-3. Food-3. Service-4. Value-4. I'd go back and probably try less fried food. Could be they haven't changed the oil frequently enough.

I started doing my reviews in this order: The Appeal…read moreThe Bad (?) The Good I consider myself some what of a seafood boil "snob" being that I lived in Las Vegas around some of the best restaurants in the world and have had seafood all over the country. There isn't any seafood in the small town I live in so every time I go out of town for work I stop to get seafood. The appeal of the Storming Crab: this place is located just down from the Fayette Mall which use to be a booming shopping center. The restaurant has a HUGE Fiberglass Crab on the outside of the building and hip graffiti painting outside. Inside the restaurant reminds you of being on a ship if it was autographed by everyone you know. The host was nice and so was my server who was super sweet. The Bad (?): I had been here a few times before and remember being disappointed because of the butter reminded me of the jug of melted popcorn butter instead of real melted butter. - However this time it didn't taste that way so I'm not sure if they changed it but it really won me back as a customer. The Good: Something I did find today that I have never found before is their seafood bread! I don't know what kind of witchcraft it is but it is one of the best things I've had. Think cheddar bay biscuits x100! Overall the Storming Crab is a solid choice. As someone who is a seafood person, if you get a boil, and know how to peel seafood, get the head ON shrimp vs. the head off- it should be fresher and more meat.

But the food was so good! I had been there once before, shortly after opening, and thought it was so-so. But the 2nd visit was a much better experience. Since we had a large group, we sampled each other's dishes and everything was delicious. The burrata appetizer was really good. I had the "make me something sweet" mocktail and it was pretty and tasted refreshing. Our server was top notch and explained every dish on the menu, and gave us recommendations. He really took his time with us, and you could tell he was a pro. More excited to return after this second visit than after the first! 11/26

For our appetizer, we had the beef tartare, it was also just okay. We didn't even finish half of it. The star of the dish was the rye crisp, unfortunately. For our entree we had the baked rigatoni and the pork tenderloin. The pork tenderloin dish was delicious and so was the rigatoni. That was a plus. It was extremely loud in the restaurant. Be prepared to yell at your table partner. Between the amount of people talking loudly (I assume to attempt to talk over the loud music) and the music, and being seated really near other people, having a conversation was difficult. So don't go with anyone who is hard of hearing with background noise (my husband lol). Food took a little longer than what I'd prefer to come out. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and decorations were cute.

This place is a must for anyone local if you haven't been, and if you're not local, it's seriously worth the trip! There are so many great things I can say about OBC, the service is phenomenal; professional, amazing recommendations, and they go out of their way to give you an unforgettable experience! Their bourbon selection is fantastic; they're guaranteed to have everything you'd want and even some things you haven't tried or been able to find anywhere else. The food is on another level! Starting with with bacon in the glass for the table is a must! This gives you a taste of the quality to come and the peanut butter accompaniment that comes with it works so well! The depth of flavor in the Cola-Braised Short Rib Tacos is unreal & even their rolls are amazing! Sometimes it's just a one-night stop, sometimes a few days, but we always take her out for a proper dinner. This trip, arriving from Chicago and following my chiropractor's enthusiastic recommendation, we chose Giuseppe's, and it turned out to be a very lovely evening. The space is warm and inviting, with plenty of wood, cozy lighting, and an impressive display of bourbons and wines that immediately sets a welcoming tone. We started with gnocchi and mozzarella alla milanese. The gnocchi were nicely al dente and the paired sauces complemented each other well. My husband and I shared the daily special, halibut with a light creamy caper sauce. The fish leaned slightly overcooked, but the flavors were still very enjoyable, and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly done. Our friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and after one bite I understood her happiness... rich, creamy, and comforting. Dessert became a celebration: a Spumoni Bomba (three gelatos wrapped in a chocolate shell) and a warm maple cake with ice cream that was honestly sinful in the best way. Our server, Tim, didn't make the strongest first impression but warmed up quickly becoming attentive and pleasant. Cocktails could use a little more polish, my Old Fashioned was a bit harsh, and I was surprised a Boulevardier wasn't available despite a Negroni being on the menu and bourbon well represented. Overall, a very good experience and a wonderful dinner with friends, not bad at all for just a brief stop in town.
