This is how you Mandoo it... Chances are many of you have driven pass this place right on Nuuanu Ave though if you blink may have passed it and it's a shame as this cute little place does Mandoo and knows what they're doing. Located right across Hosoi Garden Mortuary just look for the "Hand Mandoo" sign and street parking is the only thing I know but you'll only take forever if you're indecisive as it's an easy choice... - Vegetable with Chicken Mandoo Half bag at $22 for 20 pieces Full bag at $35 for 35 pieces - Kimchee Mandoo Half bag at $28 for 20 pieces Full bag at $45 for 35 pieces Pan fried, Deep fried or just plop them in your soup these yummies can hold it all in regardless and are just delicious! I usually get the chicken and love the convenience as it's kept frozen and cooked when you feel like it. Thank you!

Today I got to try the vegetable chicken mandoo (dumpling) 10 pieces for $12, and "WOW" it was so tasty. The only thing is you have to cook it. The ladies are very nice also.

Right off the side on Nuuanu Rd. You'll probably see the Tio Tamale shop 1st. If you see Nuuanu okazuya you went too far. Anyways they only had frozen when we went which is fine so I can make a few here and there when I want. These are very good sized mandoo and the outsider wrapper is thicker with more chew. In other words perfect for soups and making your own won ton mein at home. The more Chinese Japanese gyoza potsticker is was smaller and thinner that'll fall apart. Overall very satisfied and will try the kimchee one next time I'm around. Not sure about parking as we had something across the street and just walked over

Love the aunties here, making fresh mandoo daily! Yum

Best mandoo in town, made with love! You can eat it straight after pick up (if made on that day), or freeze to eat later!

Frozen handmade Mandoo (Korean dumplings) to go ... If you want authentic Mandoo in the comfort of your own home, you might want to try Omega Mandoo House on Nu'uanu Avenue in Honolulu. I've passed by this cozy shop hundreds of times. I think my friend had gotten a bag of Mandoo and let me taste a few many years ago. It was pretty good! The other day, I was getting some lunch for my mom at Nu'uanu Okazuya and found an open metered stall right in front of Omega Mandoo House. Since I was there, I thought that I should get a bag of Mandoo. The best deal was 40 pieces for $35. If you buy half a bag, it's 20 pieces for $20. Hmmm... Note: there's also a kimchee Mandoo. I got the Chicken and Chives version. The nice lady seemed so appreciative of my purchase. She said that it's best to defrost the Mandoo first, then fry them. Ok... I can do that! ...and I did! It was quite simple and quick! I had a nice lunch at home! Check it out! Maybe try boiling them in soup for a change up! Enjoy!

Cute ladies making mandoo all day. They are filled to the max and they taste delicious. It's always a great thing to have in your freezer to enjoy. They're so sweet and friendly and work, work, and work hard all day for our enjoyment. I know a lot of restaurants that use their mandoo so it's legit delicious. Prices went up a little but for all that hard work + the ingredient prices going up, it's ok. They're not overcharging and gauging prices like some places. It's hard work and it's delicious. Boiled, steamed, or pan fried I enjoy these!! $35/40 mandoo of the chicken and vegetable. It's a good price for me!!

Decided to pick up some homemade Mandoo at the Mandoo House located on Nuuanu couple doors down from Nuuanu Okazuya. They was originally located across the street from Liliha L@L on Liliha. I got there and wanted to buy Kim Chee Mandoo and the vegetable w/chicken Mandoo. The sales person told me that they only had Kim Chee Mandoo left so I ordered a half bag @ $25. Looks like you get a price break if you order the full bag . The Kim Chee half bag of 20 pieces is for $25. The full bag you get 40 pieces @ $40. The chicken w/vegetable half bag of 20 pieces @$18 and a full bag of 40 pieces @ $30 . It comes frozen so you'll need to cook it yourself . I had their Mandoo before and it's very good but that's when they was located in Liliha. Now their at a new location I'm sure it taste the same . Good for the Holidays and you can't go wrong with Mandoo being your favorite pupu's. Support local and keep wearing your mask

Chicken veggie mandoo. You bring home to cook/fry/steam
    Tara K.

They close at 2pm! Total hole in the wall. Wished the aunty's at least wear mask while they make the mandoos. The mandoos come fully cooked frozen. They are handmade daily. So it's super fresh! The chicken veggie mandoo is soooo delicious! They sell out pretty fast so go early. Get plenty parking outside.

We got the seafood pajeon, cold noodles in beef broth, meat jun, galbi-jjim, steamed egg pot, and bibimbap. No actual grilling was done but we weren't exactly here for that. We came here to try meat jun and ended up getting a little bit of everything else. Let me tell you something... the galbi-jjim here alone is enough to pay them a visit. If you don't know what galbi-jjim is, let me explain it real quick. Galbi-jjim is a popular Korean dish of tender, braised short ribs, typically beef or pork, cooked in a savory-sweet soy sauce-based liquid with garlic, ginger, and often fruits like pear or apple for sweetness and tenderizing. It was perfectly savory and saucy, fall-off-the-bone tender, and I want to scream just thinking about it. The first bite alone had me sitting back in my seat. Had I been wearing a hat, I would have taken it off and held it over my heart. It was that good. And since it was my birthday, they brought over a complimentary seaweed soup and a tower of Choco Pies. They even sang Happy Birthday to me and made me blush. Solid eats and excellent service. The parking situation seems nerve racking but they have an attendant at both sides of the restaurant that helps stop traffic to help get you out of there which I found pretty cool!

I really enjoy the Korean comfort foods! 4 stars for the food, soups, and ban chan, 5 stars if the service was great. Typical service you will get at a Korean spot but no complaints. Just gotta be patient for ban chan refills or if you need anything else, I don't expect much just happy that I get to have my Korean food. During this recent Saturday visit, I decided to go here for our late lunch, after hiking Koko Head Trail & Makapuu. It was about 4:30 pm, we were the only ones there, but it filled up pretty quick an and they do have many take out and Uber/Door Dash orders. My favorites here are the combo set, choice of soondubu (combination, kim chee, spam, beef, sausage, clam,) & either meat jun, fried mandoo, bulgogi, yellow corvina, seafood jun, or BBQ chicken. The combo use to be $20.55 my first time but now went up to $23.55, hence the increase, it is still a great deal, this meal comes with rice and 5 different ban chan. This combo was more than enough for the both of us. My favorite is the spam soondubu ( yes. who picks Spam right?! hehe) & the seafood Jun. Although it so hard to decide since all the choices are good, I will have to visit again for the other selection. The other half and I cannot eat an entire combo set by ourselves. I love the ban chan, especially the daikon & kim chee, so fresh and crispy! When I first dined here, I was surprise to see they give you a fresh egg to crack in your soondubu soup, I am use to the egg already in there. We always have leftover soondu soup which I take home and add to my Korean ramen the next day, so good! Support this local mom & pop restaurant, So Gong Dong has been around for the longest time just only recently I've discovered it. I will be back for the next Korean soondubu, ban chan fix!

For the meats, the beef brisket and beef toro were the stars, but the beef chuck was slightly tough and dry. They were also out of bulgogi, which was disappointing. The pork had a really strong boar taint smell/taste, which completely turned me off from ordering any of the pork. We had to ask for more meat and banchan refills multiple times. There was usually a pretty noticeable lag before anything came out, which was frustrating for an AYCE spot. They also seemed to be selective about which banchans they would refill. They would bring more of the dishes like kimchi and cucumber, but when we asked for more tuna mac, they wouldn't give us any. It also looked like there were only two people working while there were probably around 10 tables during the Tuesday lunch rush, so I do think they were understaffed.
