Finally found our late night taco solution! Wish they had free WiFi. While everywhere closes at 9pm or 10pm if you're craving tacos at midnight you may think it's hopeless. Not to worry with OMG Tacos late hours open until 3am! You order at the counter directly to the right when you walk in the door. Menus are in a holder right at the ordering area. We ordered six steak tacos with chips and salsa. They give you a number to place on your table if you're dining in. Salsa was good, not too mild and not too hot. If you don't want salsa that makes your eyebrows sweat but still has flavor, this is the salsa for you. Tacos were 4 out of 5 stars, the meat didn't have much flavor and it seemed expected to layer your tacos in sauce. I like mine with a squeeze of lime, and bit of onion and cilantro. One of our 6 tacos was pure chewy gristle. The chicken tacos looked good and I'll order those next time. Inside area is very modern, clean, bright, and dare I say hipster? During the last several months I've been frequenting the former Plano road location as well as this one upon its opening. I've had the pleasure of trying a myriad of their items including the tacos, quesadillas (OMG pork quesadilla tastes amazing especially paired with their red and green sauce), as well as the queso. Upon my last visit, I had a satiating craving for their white queso and omg pork quesadilla. The pork quesadilla was superb as usual albeit I finally took note of the price and it seems it's on the pricier side for a counter service restaurant; however, not only was I saddened, but also disappointed that their queso was different on my last visit. No longer is it their white queso. It seems to me that the queso I was served several nights ago was merely velveeta doctored up with some spices on top and several diced tomatoes. Perhaps they ran out during my last visit (?) but I didn't receive a definitive answer. I noticed that the queso was priced for less than my visit prior but I was nonetheless disappointed. I saw the reviews and pictures and it looked really good and it was only a 6 min drive ( I am on a 30 min lunch ) went in they quickly took my order ( 2 steak tacos & 1 barbacoa ) friendly cashier. Went there for Taco Tuesday happy hour yesterday and to meet several friends for a Meetup. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of a good old Texas frog strangler, so not too many made it in. However, I have to say, for a semi-fast food place I was impressed. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the margaritas were huge, but the tacos!!! Now I know why it's called OMG tacos. I had a pastor and a chicken taco. Others each had different ones and they praised them. The pastor taco was absolutely the best pastor I've ever had, and I've had them from here to California. I wish I had brought some home. I'm really glad this place is fairly close to home, because it's going to be a regular. read more

I love the new look but I feel they come off only catering to certain people. OMG tacos has fast service and delicious food! The quesadillas and churros are my favorites! Tried the loaded barbacoa nachos tonight from a recommendation from the staff and really enjoyed them! They are only offering curbside/pick-up options, but we actually were glad because we haven't felt comfortable going into a restaurant to dine yet. Not a huge fan of their loaded fries or elote. Honestly, I kind of miss their old location. The food is still great (possibly even better than before!) but they're a little more upscale and a little less hole-in-the-wall now. Feels much more trendy than homey, which I know is a silly thing to complain about but I'm just a little nostalgic because I had a lot of great memories here. I just don't get the whole taco craze some are better than others but I never really find one that I tell myself can't wait to go back there!!! I would really put this place at maybe a 2.5-2.7 star but not really 3 stars. It takes so many tacos to make a meal for me! I've been mowing down tacos here since moving back to DFW 2 yrs ago and they have always been great. During their Covid shutdown we would regularly meet and eat on our tailgates out front when the inside seating was closed and always great. Over the last 2 times I've been here (eating at the bar right now) the quality of the beef had gone south. I spoke to the Mgr and he confirmed that they have changed the cut of steak they are now buying. He was polite and thanked me for questions while saying he would mention it to the owners.
