This company will not be hurt by losing 1 or 50 clients because they have the power of numbers and eventually my 1 star rating will be washed out because...numbers. Simple as that. I am doing my best to distance from these types of companies where mistakes they make don't matter. While the hair stylists do have some minimal experience, the business practices at any of the locations are very subpar. I highly recommend that you do not get the membership. I signed up for the membership at the Frisco location over a year ago and when I did the employee that signed me up made sure to mention that I could use my membership at any of the Blo Dry Bar locations. In the fine print it mentions that if you would like to cancel your membership that you need to email your request for cancellation at least seven days before your next billing date. So it's about a year later and I'm ready to cancel my membership and of course I have forgotten that I need to email the location that I signed up at that I wanted to cancel. So I mentioned it to the employees in the Dallas location (because to the customer it's all the same company) and I was told, "sure it will be handled for you." When the next month came around and I was billed again, I went to the same employees and said, "hey my membership still wasn't canceled. Can you please cancel it." Once again they told me, "sure we will make sure this gets handled for you. Don't worry about a thing." When I, once again, saw that I was charged again, I called the Frisco location and was reminded that I need to email the location that I signed up at for my cancellation. If any employee anywhere at any of the locations would have reminded me of this, I would've emailed the proper location two months ago. When I expressed my displeasure at these business practices, nothing was said but, "I am sorry you are not happy with that." So, while they have plenty of appointments open daily, and you can sometimes get a good hairstylist that will do what you want, just don't get the membership. Even though it is a franchise, the same sign hangs above all the doors, no matter where I am so to me it is all one company. Edit: in response to owner: it was the Knox location that told me they would reach out to you directly. Your store basically informed me that I was SOL so I want no further dealings with the company as a whole. Telling someone "I am sorry you are unhappy with this result" is the exact same as saying "We don't care." Only once I posted this review did anyone higher than the individual that told me I was SOL, start reaching out to me. When I asked to speak to the manager at the time, I was denied and literally treated like this. I spent a lot of money there and even though I wasn't always happy with my hair, I tipped your employees very well as I respect the hard working industry they're in. It was a convenient location between Frisco and Dallas to whip in and get my hair washed. You should do way better in taking care of your customers as a company as a whole. My EXACT conversation with two employees at Blo Knox: Me: "I forget what I need to do to cancel my membership." Them: "We can help you with that. Which location did you sign up at?" Me: "Frisco." Them: "Ok, no problem. We will reach out to them and let them know!" So as you can see, while I KNOW I should have remembered what's in the agreement, you can infer as to how this came to be with the conversation above. I also know, no one will come forward to admit to doing this but "c'est la vie".

I chose to come here because it SHOULD BE quick and the pricing is affordable for a wash & style. In and out, voluminous clean hair. Long story short, DryBar says on their mission statement that they provide to "people of all hair types". The many times I've been, for some odd reason, when it comes to styling and working with thick, kinky curly, natural hair, the majority of stylists are timid. Like they're scared to really perform. Almost like they don't have the training to work with this type of hair. Which is unacceptable when I'm paying to have a relaxing experience. I loved how Angel finished my hair, it was beautiful, but she took 2 1/2 hours. That's crazy. Then I go to check out and find out about their policy that if the STYLIST takes longer than an hour and a half or so, the CUSTOMER is charged an additional $30. Make it make sense. Why punish the customer, for the speed and lack of experience from the STYLIST?! That's crazy. At the end of the day, to be inclusive of all hair types, the stylists should be trained professionally on how to work confidently with all hair types.

Response to owner's reply: Your response only further proves…read morethe lack of professionalism and accountability I experienced. Saying "sorry" multiple times does not fix the fact that your team was inconsiderate and dismissive. I was explicitly told I could either wait AT LEAST 30 MINUTES or reschedule -- which, in other words, means leave. There was no genuine effort to respect the fact that I arrived on time, made a clear effort to be there, and arranged childcare -- which comes at a cost. Let's be honest: would a simple "sorry" from me be enough if I showed up 30 minutes late? Would I be let off the hook if I canceled under 24 hours and just said "there was a miscommunication"? Absolutely not. So why does your business expect different standards when the inconvenience is on your side? Instead of taking ownership and offering a fair solution, your response comes off as defensive, dismissive, and frankly, childish. Saying that "nothing would've been enough for me" is a weak excuse and a clear attempt to deflect responsibility. What would have been enough? A sincere effort to fix the situation, not a passive apology. This whole experience -- and your response -- reflects poor management, a lack of customer care, and a complete failure in how to run a responsible business. INITIAL REVIEW: Unprofessional and Disrespectful Service! This salon charges clients 100% of the service fee if you're late or miss an appointment -- but when they're the ones causing the delay, they offer nothing in return. I had an appointment with Kaylin and arrived on time. At the front desk, I was told she was running over 30 minutes behind. No one contacted me beforehand. When I asked if someone else could take me, they said no one was available. I explained that this delay was costing me both time and money -- I had arranged and paid for a babysitter. Their only response was that there was a "miscommunication." No apology. No compensation. No effort to resolve the issue. I was simply told to either wait or leave. The staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They held no accountability and showed no respect for my time. If the situation were reversed, I would've been charged in full. This one-sided treatment is unacceptable. Be cautious -- this place does not value clients, and they will not take responsibility when they're at fault.
