WOW! Just wow! Omomo is very popular in the Irvine area and during peak hours, the wait can be quite extensive but definitely for good reason. The drinks are absolutely phenomenal from their milk teas to their slushies, each item is made to perfection. Upon entering the establishment, you can expect to have your order taken relatively quickly. They have a variety of high quality beverage options to choose from including fresh tea, fruit tea, milk tea, and their special creamomo creations. Personally, I always get their Omomo matcha which is their signature ice blended drink made with ceremonial matcha. This drink is definitely a must try for anyone going to this spot for the first time, it's one of their best sellers for good reason. You can also get your drinks modified in terms of sweetness and ice level (depending on the drink). We came on a Sunday after lunch and there was already a small line.l from the inside to the outside. It is a small shop with only chairs to sit and wait inside. It took around 15 minutes from being the first at the outside of the line to when we can actually order at the counter. When we ordered it took about another 15 minute before we got our drinks. Both drinks that I ordered containing matcha was super delicious. It was the peachy matcha (seasonal) and oreo creme brulee matcha (specials). Both my husband and I couldn't sleep at night . Honestly I dont really get the hype? Got the peach creamomo, the matcha drink and the mango tornado. They were good, but I'm not sure it was worth standing 20min in line and waiting another 10min for my drinks. This spot is one of my favorite boba spots that I regularly come back to whenever I'm in the Irvine area. The boba drinks here are just so good and of such great quality! In this most recent visit, I got the Mango Tornado and it was delicious. This was made using sweet Asian mangoes and they were in season (Summer). The drink was creamy, flavorful, and refreshing. I've never had a bad drink here. The line can get pretty long throughout the day, but the wait is worth it. I'd say the wait time is generally between 20-30 minutes. There aren't really places inside to sit other than waiting for your order, but there are a good amount of tables and chairs outside. For parking, it's a free lot in front with a good amount of spots. read more

Sooo saddd the seasonal Pineapple Alice is gone..you don't even know!!! I'm legit crying inside, cuz I was seriously addicted to that drink..so when I stopped by today & found out, I had to find another yummy substitute. *sigh & tear* I was in a fruity & refreshing mood, so I opt'd to finally try the strawberry tornado fruit tea. I've been so hesitant in the past, cuz I didn't know how'd I feel about the cheese foam, but shockingly..to my surprise. I LOVED IT! The blended smoothie made of fresh strawberries is sooo refreshing and being swirled w/ their cheese foam and strawberry bits, it somehow just all works & balances. I get 80% sugar level, which is perfect and not overly sweet, since it is a smoothie and the blended ice will already water-down the sweetness. Just trust. They also have coffee on the menu. - Uji Green Milk Tea with brown sugar boba The brown sugar boba made my eyes light up because it was gooey and flavorful, and reminded me of a favorite boba place that closed down in NA years ago. It went great with the blend of matcha and jasmine, and the tea was strong. Subtly creamy, light jasmine tea, and a bit of matcha earthiness. It made for a fantastic dessert, and was perfect at 50% sweet. - Ruby and Gold with agar boba This is a seasonal blend of pineapple, grapefruit, and magnolia tea. The fruit juices and pulp are super fresh, and it was an amazing morning drink, especially with the bouncy agar boba, which were uneven in shape yet still very easy to get through the straw. At 30% sweet, it was astringent, bitter, and tart enough to delight my tastebuds - I could have this every morning, as it tasted like a mature OJ substitute. Finally got to try OMOMO after hearing about it since my college days. There was already a line snaking out from the door but thankfully about a 15 min wait. There is limited bench seating inside. Restroom was closed to the public. I tried the omomo matcha ($6.95) since that's what was recommended. I got 30% sweet and it was just right. The matcha taste hit with some sweetness and bitterness. This place is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The outside had a couple tables while the inside of the store just had benches. It was easy and quick to order. The drinks were SO good! My girls enjoy the itchy peachy drink; hubs got the Ceylon milk tea (at the cashier's recommendation) but it was meh - nothing special to it; felt that you can get this anywhere else. customer service was kinda confusing. They were calling out by numbers...or by name, so you had to pay attention to that. I still love the drinks from Omomo even though I never come when I see a line. I just don't think any drink is worth waiting in such a long line for. Luckily, I scored an opening when there was no line and I couldn't resist but to stop in and buy three drinks for myself. The line here is LONG, but it does go by somewhat quickly. Once we ordered we got our drinks in a decent time. They also have the menu QR code outside so that you can look at their menu as you wait. I had the watermelon & jasmine tea with aloe vera and lychee jelly. It was fun and tasted like restroom spray (but in like the good way if you know what I mean). One thing I appreciated is that they have a dairy mark on the drinks that have dairy. This makes it super easy for me to order. I ordered their four seasons lime (4/5) and my partner had the mango fruit tornado (5/5), both at 50% sweetness. The bitterness of the lime rind and tea was a bit much for me, so perhaps I would do 75% sweetness next time for the four seasons. I really liked the mango fruit tornado because there was refreshing fruit chunks, in a milky slush blend. 10/10 Boba Place! I always make an effort to come to Omomo when the Irvine area because, yes, its that good. This place almost ALWAYS has a line, but I would say it is absolutely worth it. Their bobaristas have always been really nice. I've only had my drink messed up once and the server had no problems remaking it for me. Inside the shop is super cute but remember, its always crowded. Theres alot of people talking and waiting for their drink so I wouldn't recommend counting on staying inside to have a chat with friends. However, there is alot of seating outside the shop! Their seasonal drinks have always been creative and flavorful, one of my favorite being a banana, chocolate creamomo (please bring it back!!) but their jasmine creamomo is also a classic. I've tried Omomo once before (someone had driven me back an Oreo Matcha all the way from Chino Hills to the San Fernando Valley!) and it was really good. They're well known for their Matcha and I think it's well deserved praise for their specials. I was pretty excited to see that I'd be able to get to have Omomo again on our little weekend trip to San Diego. They were unfortunately out of their taro paste which I really wanted to try. I did get excited to see the Ube menu they were advertising. I got the Ubae with coffee jelly and was honestly pretty disappointed. While it tasted good, it was really a muted taro flavor. I grew up with my mom making ube jam from scratch in the philippines so I do kind of feel like I keep setting myself up for disappointment lol but it was yummy. I just wouldn't call this ube. The picture they had on the ube advertisement also wasn't ube, it was a purple japanese yam lol so again, should've known better. The super lemon oolong was also good. They aren't lying when they say super lemon! It's truly super lemon forward. I'd stick to the specials next time, and would probably steer clear of the ube flavors if it ever comes out of limited edition status. Interiors are cute although they really could add a few wall seats or something. There's a huge open space inside and just a line out the door which doesn't make it very inviting, but they're probably still workshopping their space. read more

Visited for the first time and was warned that especially on the weekend, there will always be a line. This ended up being the case, and I waited for about 30 minutes to order and approximately 10 minutes for my order of 5 drinks to be ready - definitely not a casual pick-up on-the-go kind of spot. I even got a reusable bag that costs $1! The only drink I personally tried was the creamomo ceylon milk tea with cheese foam + brown sugar boba. As per my usual boba-drinking procedure, I mixed the cheese foam thoroughly with the milk tea prior to trying the milk tea on its own. As expected, I LOVED MY DRINK! The ceylon's fragrant (but not too fragrant) flavor came through but perfectly mixed with the milk, cheese foam, and brown sugar boba. Despite the line, I would definitely come back to order my same drink, but I was also interested in others including the creamomo black jade milk tea! Side note: as of yesterday when I visited, there is no bathroom available. The drink itself was good, but 80% sweetness was noticeably too sweet for me. I'd recommend going closer to 50%, especially if you're adding cheese foam. The shop is very small with minimal seating, so it's really just a place to wait for your drink rather than hang out. They used to offer online ordering for pickup about a year ago, but that option is no longer available, which makes ordering less convenient--especially given how consistently busy they are. I'd still order again for the quality, but a nearby location (Westminster or Huntington Beach) and the return of online ordering would significantly improve the overall experience. read more

The line was a bit longer than usual (but there's always a line). it took us 44 minutes from when I first got in mine to when I got my drink and we paid about $14/$15 for both drinks. We got the grapefruit smash and the UBae (seasonal drink). Grapefruit smash is a reg drink we get all the time. Always consistent! The UBae was ok comes with coffee jelly inside. You can't really go wrong with OMOMO lol. I think some drinks are a hit or miss, but I would rank it a lot higher overall. Tbh I'm glad it was raining the day I went here! It made the lines shorter than other days. Obviously, when I come here, I have to get the Omomo Matcha. It's a delicious matcha blended drink with that swirly goodness in the cup! The sweetness was 50% and perfect for me. Personally, if it gets lower than 50%, the matcha starts tasting bitter to me. I ordered the matcha drink at 30% sugar level and it was on point - smooth, well - balanced, no grainy texture you sometimes get from matcha powder. However, the strawberry Yakut tastes a bit blend in comparison and could use a stronger flavor. The line tends to be constantly long, and as far as I can tell, there isn't option to order ahead, which makes the wait feel even longer. read more
