Sooo saddd the seasonal Pineapple Alice is gone..you don't even know!!! I'm legit crying inside, cuz I was seriously addicted to that drink..so when I stopped by today & found out, I had to find another yummy substitute. *sigh & tear* I was in a fruity & refreshing mood, so I opt'd to finally try the strawberry tornado fruit tea. I've been so hesitant in the past, cuz I didn't know how'd I feel about the cheese foam, but shockingly..to my surprise. I LOVED IT! Not the same Pineapple Alice LOVE, but it will do, for days I'm leaning more fruity than matcha. The blended smoothie made of fresh strawberries is sooo refreshing and being swirled w/ their cheese foam and strawberry bits, it somehow just all works & balances. I get 80% sugar level, which is perfect and not overly sweet, since it is a smoothie and the blended ice will already water-down the sweetness. Just trust. Heads up, it's a non-caffeinated drink, but does contain dairy, for those who are lactose-intolerant..be warned. Lol A total RxFoodie recommend & must-try!!!
We came on a Friday afternoon and the line was out the door. It was about a 45 minute wait until we got to order, and the drinks came out a lot faster (less than 10 minutes). We got the Strawberry Fruit Yakult and Omomo Matcha. They were good, but I wouldn't wait for up to an hour for them again. The store is also pretty small with limited seating, especially if it's a busy day. Staff were friendly and helpful!
It's summer and I love me a watermelon green tea. There's always ALWAYS a line and parking is usually a pain because it shares a lot with Trader Joe's, but we went on Friday night around 8pm and it was surprisingly faster than I expected? Most of the time I end up ordering a 2nd drink (the osmanthus fresh tea) to make the wait more worth my while... which is honestly kind of a win for me. Also, love the outdoor seating options for yappy hour when I'm not solo.
Refreshing summer blended boba drink. It was busyyy though. Ordered: - Avocado Smash - I got this one a year ago at another location and it was very good. Highly recommend if you like avocado. - Strawberry Tornado - This was also good, but I think if I had to pick one I like avocado one more. - Mango Tornado - This one was quite tart. My cousins, who frequently go here, told me the strawberry and mango can sometimes be tart based on the season, location, etc. However avocado is pretty consistent.
We were waiting for our Yelp Waitlist for SUP when we were craving some drinks! We ordered their black jade milk tea and their magnolia lime tea. Their black jade milk tea was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet but very savory and worked well with their almond milk. We bought a couple drinks to take home with us and it was definitely worth the trip!
Wow, I found my favorite boba tea spot in SoCal and this is it! I'm so excited and happy because OMOMO is everything I want in a boba store. Can you come up to NorCal please? High grade ingredients, attention to detail, flavor balance, perfect boba, and fresh fruits. They also carry my favorite tea period, gyokuro, and have pretty low prices for an artisanal effort. Please, I want to make another trip to the OC for OMOMO. I even like it way more than my favorites in NorCal - so for me, this is the best boba tea in all of California. Place was poppin' even an hour within closing time on a weekday. I love the cozy, natural, and dull green aesthetics too. They seem to rotate new seasonal flavors so are worth visiting every now and then if you like trying new things. They also have coffee on the menu. - Uji Green Milk Tea with brown sugar boba The brown sugar boba made my eyes light up because it was gooey and flavorful, and reminded me of a favorite boba place that closed down in NA years ago. It went great with the blend of matcha and jasmine, and the tea was strong. Subtly creamy, light jasmine tea, and a bit of matcha earthiness. It made for a fantastic dessert, and was perfect at 50% sweet. - Ruby and Gold with agar boba This is a seasonal blend of pineapple, grapefruit, and magnolia tea. The fruit juices and pulp are super fresh, and it was an amazing morning drink, especially with the bouncy agar boba, which were uneven in shape yet still very easy to get through the straw. At 30% sweet, it was astringent, bitter, and tart enough to delight my tastebuds - I could have this every morning, as it tasted like a mature OJ substitute. If you need a bag, they'll give you a very premium insulated one to-go! Literally everything was perfect, and I can't wait to overindulge in OMOMO next time I visit the area.
Finally got to try OMOMO after hearing about it since my college days. There was already a line snaking out from the door but thankfully about a 15 min wait. There is limited bench seating inside. Restroom was closed to the public. I tried the omomo matcha ($6.95) since that's what was recommended. I got 30% sweet and it was just right. The matcha taste hit with some sweetness and bitterness. The cup size is good for this price.
The line here is LONG, but it does go by somewhat quickly. Once we ordered we got our drinks in a decent time. They also have the menu QR code outside so that you can look at their menu as you wait. I had the watermelon & jasmine tea with aloe vera and lychee jelly. It was fun and tasted like restroom spray (but in like the good way if you know what I mean). One thing I appreciated is that they have a dairy mark on the drinks that have dairy. This makes it super easy for me to order. Overall, I probably wouldn't wait in line again for the drinks here!
This place is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The outside had a couple tables while the inside of the store just had benches. It was easy and quick to order. The drinks were SO good! Wish I could have ordered more. The ones with crème brûlée are on the sweeter side so I would recommend going with less sweetness.
been coming here for years and has never disappointed me. the milk teas and oreo brulee drinks are one of my favorites. service has always been the same, lines are usually long with a wait of around 10 or more minutes. usually drinks come out in around 10 minutes as well. the place is a bit small with limited seating with the amount of people who come. overall, one of my favorite spots to go to.
OMOMO Tea is a SoCal centered boba shop, offering aesthetic tea, milk tea, and fruit based drinks. This is my second time frequenting this location, and there is always a line due to its popularity. I ordered their four seasons lime (4/5) and my partner had the mango fruit tornado (5/5), both at 50% sweetness. The bitterness of the lime rind and tea was a bit much for me, so perhaps I would do 75% sweetness next time for the four seasons. I really liked the mango fruit tornado because there was refreshing fruit chunks, in a milky slush blend. OMOMO definitely has delicious drinks; would love to come back and try their milk teas or matcha ones!
This location is not as busy as the San Diego one, and it tastes exactly the same! It's in a plaza and it has outdoor seating which is nice, especially on sunny days. My go-to drink is their signature drink, the Omomo Matcha. It was soooo good! This is definitely a must-try! It had a strong (in a good way) matcha flavor that was perfectly balanced with the sweet crème. 1000/10 you need to get this!!
This place is still one of my favorite places to get a matcha drink. My go to is their Uji Green Milk Tea which has a good balance of matcha with jasmine green tea. If you want a stronger matcha kick, go with the Matcha Cortado. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of their drinks here. From milk tea, to fruit teas, they're all really good! The only downside is there's always a line to get your drink. If you're lucky and the line is short, stop by! read more

Top tier drink place, super popular so be ready for a long wait during busy hours. The omomo matcha was the best matcha drink I have had, rich and creamy but not heavy. All of the drinks are beautifully made and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the interior is simple and elegant. read more
OMOMO was just as good as I remember! The last time I visited was in 2020. Since there aren't any locations in NorCal, I was willing to wait on a Monday afternoon at 2 pm, and I think it was worth the 45 minute wait! The wait was mainly to order since there's only one cashier. The boba had the perfect QQ texture, and I love the OMOMO matcha. It was a delicious dessert slushie with strong matcha flavor. The watermelon green tea was refreshing, and the watermelon tasted natural (none of that artificial watermelon flavor!). If watermelon was in season, it might've been a tad sweeter to the perfect sweetness level. OMOMO is a must-visit whenever I'm in SoCal! read more

Omomo Tea Shoppe has some of the best drinks I've tried in Irvine. I know, I know, the line is so long, but it's worth the wait. I am not a wait-in-line person so I'd say it says something about these drinks! Once you get inside, there are 3 benches to sit and wait. It's not a big space, but there are seats outside for anyone wanting to stay and enjoy. The team members are always helpful and friendly! They have a points system you can quickly sign up for with your phone number. I got the Omomo Matcha today and it has a really good matcha flavor. I substituted milk for oat milk at 80%. J didn't find it too sweet at all. There's a hint of crème brilee which makes it interesting in a good way. I'm so used to matcha lattes with vanilla and oat milk, I was expecting that but it's a bit more elevated than the usual cold matcha latte. read more
I got the green milk with oatmilk and boba, 30% sugar, and reg ice. I thought this drink was okay, it tasted a tad watery and the boba was a bit on the chewier side. I would prefer it to be softer. Bonus points for free milk substitutes but I would come back to try another drink instead. read more

I didn't expect to have an appalling experience at my favorite spot for boba. I've been coming here for over two years now - since my initial review, my go-tos have been exclusively 1) strawberry tornado, and 2) uji green milk tea. Nothing else, because those couldn't be dethroned for me. I've come dozens of times to this location; most recently in August, and the drinks were consistently amazing. Not once were they off. I stopped by because there was only a short line today and ordered the strawberry tornado. When it came out, I had to do a double-take to see if it was my drink, because it practically looked like a milk tea. The boy that handed it to me insisted it was the correct drink, so I initially left it at that. When I put my straw on it, watery cheese foam squirted out. That's fine, I thought surely the slush would be in the middle because why wouldn't it - since they'd never messed it up before, but no. It was essentially that same diluted cheese foam (how?!?) with a hint of strawberry slush. The girl at the register was really understanding when I inquired about it just 2 minutes later, so I stood off to the side when he came to me and condescendingly said "We'll remake your drink as a courtesy, but this is a one-time exception and won't happen again." What? I tried to tell him it was made incorrectly, and there's got to be a mistake because it's never been like this of the dozens of times I ordered, but he interjected each time and even said "It probably melted by the time you got it" (I stood waiting for it + it hadn't even been over 10 minutes). After a minute of back and forth, he passive-aggressively said "Ma'am, we appreciate your loyalty. Now we can argue all day [what!], but the recipe hasn't changed [obviously?!]. That's why we're offering to remake your drink. It's always been made this way [from the way it was perfectly remade afterwards, you had to have known it wasn't]." He quickly took the drink after that, and I tried to ask him to wait so I could take a picture of it, but he ignored me and walked away. When he came back, it was finally made correctly. I just don't even know why he wanted to convince me I was wrong, and that Omomo was doing me a favor just this once; and be rude from the get-go when even he (or someone on the team) knew how to make it properly. If you're seeing all the reviews saying "What's so special about this place? Why is there so much hype when it's just average?" - it's probably because the once-genuinely amazing drinks are being made like this lately. Edit: I'm also seeing the other reviews now where people are having issues w/ their drinks, and even being refused to have remade, so I would technically be considered "lucky." And also they're accusing customers of lying? What on earth? Instead of remaking or distrusting customers off the bat, I wish management would take the time to properly train their hardworking team, so they don't go through the time & hassle of having to rebuff us as well (+ have both parties' day soured). They're already dealing with a fast-paced environment. Tl;dr: please bring our strawberry tornado back - without attempting to gaslight me :( read more

I used to come here all the time when I went to UCI, and now that I don't live as close, I don't come as often as I used to, but the drinks are still good! The lines seem to have gotten shorter than what I remember, but they are still quite long. If you don't want to wait, I recommend visiting a different place. I used to get their drinks at 100% during my UCI days, but now I typically get their drinks at 50%. I feel 50% is a good sweetness for me, to have just enough sweetness that it doesn't overpower the drink. I got the Omomo matcha, and it was just as matcha-y as I remember. The drink was creamy, and not too heavy. The matcha flavor was not too bitter, but had a slight earthy taste, which I liked. If you don't really like matcha drinks, their other drinks are also pretty good. I've had most of their fruit teas, yakults, and tornados, so I'd say they are also pretty good. Not much indoor seating for the store as it is mostly just a waiting area. Plus it gets a bit hot/humid as there is jsut so many other people waiting. There are some seats outside where you can sit and hang out with friends. I would say it is worth a try if you are in the area! read more

The lineup to get into this shop was like waiting for a ride at Disneyland!! And so worth it!! The place was so busy with people waiting to place their orders but everyone was so patient. Staff were super helpful at providing recommendations and keeping the line moving. Our drinks were delicious and we'll definitely do the line again for another round! read more
My friend and I went on a Thursday around 4 PM and there was a short line!! We got the Camo Thai and the Itchy Peachy (no cheese foam) and they were both good drinks. Definitely on the expensive side but they use fresh ingredients and there is free oat milk replacement. This warm weather making me thirsty for a nice cold matcha drink. Omomo in Irvine is still my go-to drink spot and it will likely be the case for years to come. I come here specifically for the Omomo matcha with Oreo blended in at 50% sugar. It's the perfect level of sweet, the Oreo blending seamlessly with the flavor of the matcha in a slush while the caffeine runs through your veins. Likely will be a way til 1am after downing the entire drink and it's worth it. No long lines so go during a weeknight. Weekends are hella crazy. read more

There's always a line here because they have good quality chewy boba and many interesting and delicious drink options. Everything from the normal teas to smoothies with cheese foam to matchas. I've always enjoyed their drinks and was happy I tried something new this time with the seasonal drink Itchy Peachy. I tried ordering 30% sweet but the cashier was like it's going to taste more icy, so I decided to go with 50%. It was a little sweeter than I would like but I guess the good thing is it still tasted creamy enough. I sorta wonder if I might have been happier with 30% sweet. Their better drinks including boba cost around $8 which is on the high side but also not that unusual in the Irvine area. read more

When you see everyone standing in a long line you gotta wonder if what they're standing there is worth it! So I had to stop & check it out for myself. I wasn't disappointed. I stood in line for about 20 minutes which wasn't too bad. I ordered the Black Jade Milk Tea at 50% less sweet. It was delicious It's a little pricey but very good. Stop by this tea shop cause the long line get our attention, actually didn't take too long to place order , store looks nice and clean , order one osmanthus milk tea and omomo matcha both are recommended on the menu ! You can adjust the sweetness and ice with your own preference, the milk tea tastes good but I prefer thicker , the matcha taste perfect with the cream comes the bitter sweet of the matcha supposed to be!! Let me just start off by saying, I love boba & I've tried so many places. Omomo is still one of my top boba spots through and through. You can never go wrong with an omomo matcha or oreo brulee green milk tea for your matcha needs. If you're looking for something fruity, I like their avocado smash that comes with strawberries at the bottom or their watermelon green tea that's so refreshing! Milk-tea wise, I love their osmanthus milk tea, which is a perfect mix of light floral taste with creaminess. Lines can be long, yet I would say it's well worth. The line honestly doesn't take as long as it looks. Inside, it can get very crowded on the weekend. But I do appreciate that they have outdoor seating available. Highly recommend coming here if you're a boba fiend! read more
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and, as expected from the Yelp reviews, was greeted by a line wrapped around the corner. We ended up waiting about 35 minutes in line and another 10 minutes for our drinks to come out. I originally came craving boba but after going down a Yelp rabbit hole, I convinced myself to try their signature Omomo Matcha. My friends got the Mango Tornado and the Oreo Crème Brûlée. I'd give my Omomo Matcha a solid 4/5. It came very sweet (even at 80% sugar), but the texture was light and airy which I really liked. It definitely leaned heavily into the matcha flavor -- there were a few sips with concentrated pearls of matcha that felt a bit too earthy for me, but otherwise it was enjoyable. The Mango Tornado wasn't really my thing -- I didn't love the cheese foam combo -- but I can see how others might like it. The space itself has a really nice minimalist aesthetic and feng shui. Plenty of outdoor seating if you want to hang out after grabbing your drink. Employees were super sweet, helpful, and happy to answer questions about their extensive menu. read more
Honestly it's a rite of passage as an OC resident to wait in the OMOMO line for at least 20 minutes lol. The store is always crowded and the prices are steep, but it's so worth it. I never really go for boba much anymore but I'll never say no to coming here. The Matcha Cortado (I get mine 75% sweet) is so tasty and strong, and the Jasmine Milk Tea is refreshing and fragrant. The boba here is delicious, warm, and perfectly chewy too. The cups and foil lids are also of good quality - nice to see that OMOMO cares about presentation and aesthetics too :) read more
Don't get scared by the line! It goes by quicker than it looks. We waited for about 30 mins in line and then 10 mins for our drinks to be ready. Just chatting in line made it go by so quickly. The mango tornado was so good!! I had a sip of the lemon coffee and that was so good!! I will get that next time too. Friendly service! read more
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I gotta say, I certainly understand the hype. There was a long line which instantly upped my expectations. The place is small but clean, and they have outdoor seating. They have an extensive drink menu with a variety of flavor palettes. We ended up getting an Omomo Matcha and Pineapple Tornado. The wait for thr drink was surprisingly quick, considering how busy they were. Omomo Matcha- This is a classic! Matcha lovers will be happy to know that the base flavor is strong, with enough creaminess to balance it out. Served in a delightful brulee cup. Pineapple Tornado- This was a seasonal flavor so I simply had to try. The pineapple flavor is definitely dominant, with a creamy, coconuty undertone to enhance it. It's sweet and refreshing, definitely a tropical drink! read more
I went there recently on a weekday around 1 p.m. and waited 30 minutes in the sun before finally getting my matcha. Unfortunately, they didn't add any sugar, even though I ordered it with 75% sugar. It was too bitter, and since it was ice blended, I couldn't add any sweetener afterward. I was late for work and didn't have time to get it remade. I know this place is always packed and slow, but it seems like their service quality is really starting to suffer. read more

Pretty solid boba drink! There's was a line when I went and it was right after they opened on a Monday. Very efficient with the line so it wasn't too long. Make sure to keep your receipt because they will verify that it's your drink. I got the strawberry green tea and it wasn't too bad. Should definitely do 100% ice though because anything less than doesn't taste as good. read more
This place was very popular with a line out the door. They have premium quality boba drinks that are beautiful looking. Prices are reasonable for the area. I like that they have a carrier bags for large orders. Service staff were helpful and were fast. Bobas tasted great, would recommend. read more

A popular boba tea shop in Irvine that came highly recommended to me! Expect long waits. When we arrived on a weekend evening, there was a line out the door! We ordered mango and strawberry tornadoes. Both were flavorful, refreshing, and not too sweet. Of note, parking is very easy, and there are plenty of benches and tables to sit at outside! After being discouraged by the long lines at OMOMO, my friends and I finally decided that we would be okay waiting in line. To our pleasant surprise, there was no line on a Saturday at 12:30p. We did see the line grow around 1:30/2p with the after-lunch crowd. I ordered the Omomo Matcha at 80% sugar. I underestimated the combined sugar level of the drink with the brulee cream coated around the cup. I would recommend reducing the sugar level to 50% sugar next time. Regardless, I enjoyed my creamy matcha drink. My friends enjoyed their Taro Paste Fresh Milk and one of the milk teas. read more
I've heard so much about this boba chain that I had to try it on one of my Irvine visits. While much of the original hype has died down and even though there's multiple locations, this Irvine OMOMO Tea Shoppe was still quite crowded, with my friends and I having to wait more than 30 minutes in line on a weekend afternoon. I tried one of their more popular drinks, their OMOMO Matcha with boba. My friend and I took a couple of pictures in their white/wooden aesthetic boba shop, but we had to sit at an empty table outside to enjoy our drinks due to how crowded it was. Quality matcha taste along with chewy boba! Most of my friends ordered different OMOMO matcha drinks, all with its unique and tasty qualities. I wish I had the stomach to try one of their other popular drinks, because I finally understood what all the hype was about! read more

I liked everything I got, so I understand why their store is so crowded. Though I'm not sure if the long wait is worth it every time. * Omomo Matcha 5/5 - This was the perfect combination of matcha and milk. It was sweet, milky, and tasty. I liked this the best out of the three drinks I got. * Strawberry Tornado 5/5 - This was a strawberry smoothie with swirled with cheese foam. I'm not a cheese foam fan so I replaced it with tiramisu foam instead. The drink was nice and sweet. It was a bit thick due to the strawberry smoothie and hard to mix the flavors together. * Watermelon Green Tea 5/5 - This was a very refreshing drink. There's always a long line here no matter what day we go. I ordered the classic black jade milk tea with boba and loved the way they cooked the boba. The perfect texture for me. My husband ordered the Oreo brûlée green tea. I'm glad the Oreo brûlée wasn't overly sweet. The matcha flavor was nice, not too bitter. There's plenty of outdoor seatings to catch up with your friends :) read more
Always love omomo and trying new things. We usually get omomo matcha with Oreos which is delicious. We decided to try their new ube drinks which were very yummy! The coffee jelly was pretty strong and took over the ube flavor but if you like coffee they still taste good! Matcha and ube was more well balanced! The staff was efficient and nice. Saw the super long line of Asians and immediately recognized this as the famous boba spot everyone always talks about. My friend and I waited almost an hour ‼ in line to try it. He got the Super Lemon Black Tea, which was just alright. We were surprised that the drink was so sour and concentrated -- The color was really dark and it didn't taste like there was ice in it (maybe melted?). The liquid was filled to the brim and spilled almost immediately after I took my first sip. To contrast, the Avocado Smash drink was delicious, sweet, and smooth. The frozen strawberry bits at the bottom were a refreshing surprise. Despite the super long wait time (afternoon), this was a good experience. If given the chance, I would love to try more of Omomo's signature drinks! read more

Their milk tea has lactose free options such as almond and oat milk. Their cheese foam are made with milk based. They do not have soy milk. Their milk teas you can substitute for any nondairy.

I tried the tiramisu foam from OMOMO for the first time and loved it!!! What is it made of? Is OMOMO the original creator or tiramisu foam? (I've had sea foam and cheese foam but this is the first time I've heard of Tiramisu foam).

fruit yakult or cocoa latte if you look at the menu look for drinks that have the grey circle next to them. They symbol non caffeine
Are you open? I've stopped by the last two weekends and the store is closed
