The combination of Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki, and Crispy Pork Katsu was the perfect way to try multiple favorites at once. Every protein was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The chicken was juicy and coated in a rich teriyaki glaze, the bulgogi was tender and savory, and the pork katsu had an amazing crispy crunch while staying moist inside. The portions were very generous, especially with the a bowl of steamed rice, fresh salad, and cabbage slaw on the side. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and made to order. I had tried this place a couple times before and always enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, today will be the last time I order from this place. I placed an order through grubhub for a combo plate (double katsu) and egg rolls. About 2 min after I ordered I get a $2.50 charge by the restaurant. I call and they say you can't order double katsu without the charge, even though there is no mention of this on grubhub page. They then say what you really want is a normal katsu plate, which by the way is cheaper than the combo plate, which contradicts why they charged me instead of reducing the price. They took more than 10 minutes (and a phone call by me) to cancel the order and the poor driver already got to the location. They finally cancelled the order and this time I ordered katsu curry and egg rolls. By this point, a new driver had been assigned and it had been an hour since the previous driver came to the restaurant. When I received my food I realized they just gave me the old food. I could tell since everything was mushy and lukewarm. The curry was also extremely watery and had no viscosity. The fact that they tried to charge me $5 more than what they should have plus not making a fresh order made me decide to write this review so others will know. This place is really close to my workplace, so I eat here almost weekly. The food is so good, and with their lunch specials you always get salad, pickled cabbage, a nice serving of white rice and your choice of meat for a decent price. Pictured below is the Salmon Teriyaki. It was well-cooked and tasty, but in my opinion not as good as their beef, chicken, chicken katsu, or shrimp. Being able to list several other options on the menu is a great sign though! Even though the salmon wasn't my favorite, it's still better than some other places in town. I love it here. Came here for the first time. I ordered 2 chicken teriyaki boxes, 1 teriyaki salmon, and 1 tempura meal. Food was ok. Price was decent. Service could've been better. First impression was not good- As soon as you finish ordering, if you tell the cashier you're paying with card, she automatically presses a bunch of buttons on the card reader and tells you to put in your card. But if you inspect it, you'd see she automatically added a 20% tip. Tip for what? This is not a fancy sit down restaurant, I'm not dining in, and I should have a say I'm how much I want to tip should I even choose to tip. I just don't like how it was done. The food portions are small. For the price of a whole entree at Chinese restaurants where you can get a whole box of protein, here the protein is about 1/4 of the box. The rest is heaps of rice and some cheap cabbage and lettuce. The quality of the little bits of protein was pretty good. I liked the chicken. I heard the salmon was good. The tempura was not good. The batter was very thick and greasy. All in all, it was convenient, but I'm not sure if I'd come back. I'd probably go to a nicer restaurant where you'd pay similar prices or maybe a few dollars more but receive much more protein. read more

Tried the number 10 which is a combo of two items between the options 1-9. Each entree comes with white rice, pickled cabbage, and a salad. I tried the crispy chicken (comes in a ball, similar to a meatball but with chunks of chicken thighs was a little saltier than I preferred) and the Thai chicken (small strips of chicken thigh with sauce). Each entree is served in a bento box, portion size is nice and it was very filling. Service was fast and patient while scanning the menu, ambiance was nice great playlist playing in background, typical hole in the wall (in a good way) establishment. This place has been open for a long time. I used to buy here a lot. I came here today after a few years and I'm surprised how very little the portions have become the food is good, but the portions for the price is not really good. The chicken Katsu used to be a huge portion. It used to cover the whole rice on the top, and it was like 2 big portions. Now it's very little. I understand about inflation, but if you can inflate your prices, you should keep the portions the same as it was before. read more

One of the absolute BEST food spots in Las Vegas. Teriyaki chicken is cooked perfectly, no fat no pieces u need to spit out, ever ! Sauce is not super thick. Noddles were amazing and the egg rolls are the best I've had in my life. Not sure if the wonderful lady at the register and the amazing cook are owners, husband and wife or what but these people definitely care about their business and what they serve to its customers. This place has went way downhill since Kai left. I've given it a few chances since he sold, but it's not even close to the same. Today there's no drinks, no restroom and no sriracha bottles. Just two small packets of sauce. Gone are the days of having a teriyaki bottle at your table. Now there's one by the counter that needs to be used there. So sad. I have driven past this area for years, and like many probably have seen their signage or stopped to get coffee at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the same plaza, but never actually stopped to check them out. Since I effectively fasted for 21 hours for blood work and am just a block down the street, I decided to check this place out. Definitely surprised they have been here for 10+ years. Their menu looks like it has not changed since they opened, except for nominal price increases. I opted for their daily lunch special (Friday: Teriyaki Chicken and Crispy Chicken). The wait was very reasonable, and probably only about 4-5 minutes, with just one cook and one cashier working. The food overall was pretty good. The teriyaki chicken has nice flavor, and not too sweet or salty. Does not have excessive burnt marks like those served at many other teriyaki takeout competitors in town. The crispy chicken are actually fried chicken balls, but not as crispy as the name would implied. It has very good flavors, definitely saltier than the teriyaki chicken and I am glad to have tried it. It feels like the chicken meatball version of Korean Fried Chicken (Dakgangjeong ), popular S.Korean street food, tossed in a sweet spicy soy glaze. Due to the #covid19 #ccpvirus pandemic response by responsible business owners, this location practices social distancing and masks required for staff and customers (they sell handmade reusable masks for $9 too), limited seating for dine-in and waiting for your takeout order, and NO access to the restroom for the public. So after finally getting a taste of Crispy Chicken, I am sure it will not be a decade until my next visit. If you are in the mood for Korean-influenced teriyaki takeout and is near the Rainbow/215, give this place a try and support a long time local small business in the process.
