It was a little busier today due to the holiday (Labor Day). The sushi rolls were presented beautifully and both rolls were delicious. The fish (spicy tuna and yellowtail) were really fresh. the dipping sauce for both rolls seem to be the same. it was light and tasty. Did not need any soy sauce as you would use for other sushi rolls. This could be one of my fav places to dine when I'm in the area. Looking forward to trying the other rolls on the menu. read more

I'm so upset with the food I received from this place. For the money I paid it was low grade mediocre. The rice is more like a paste, super sticky and smoochy, sloppy work. Sushi Fever is terrific. High quality. Affordably priced. Large, varied menu. Service is impeccable and they've gone out of their way to make things I wanted but weren't on the menu. Comfortable place with ample seating. I've been a couple of times for lunch and for dinner. They have a great lunch bento special where you can create your own lunch combo from a long list of options. It's always a ton of food and really fresh and satisfying. I love their Agedashi Tofu and they've got great sushi specials. When you walk in, you're greeted with a small cucumber salad in sesame dressing. It's a welcoming and thoughtful way to begin a meal. The tonkatsu ended up being the biggest disappointment of the meal. It was extremely dry, and while there was "breading", it was so thin that it barely felt like it was there. The pork was also very flat and lacked the juicy, crispy texture I was expecting. My partner ordered the Mistake Sushi, and that was actually pretty good. Maybe they should stick to sushi. We have been coming here for years. Good food and normally great service but today was not the case. I noticed that the male bus boy/servers were only catering to the male customers. They would go up to the male customers at the table and ask if they wanted anything else refills etc. But bypassed the women at the table. Unless the man at the table or the women said something. We went for Bento Boxes; they were delicious and very filling. These dinners come with miso soup, a bowl of steamed rice, your choice of 2 items (teriyaki chicken, beef, salmon, tempura shrimp, tempura veggies, etc.) Salad, 2 gyoza, and 1 egg roll. The service is excellent with various servers, besides our own, checking on us to refill drinks. The ambiance is typical of a sushi restaurants. The sushi chefs yell a word in Japanese when customers walked to the sushi bar (probably welcome). At one time they were toasting with the customers. It's a lively atmosphere. The only negative is that the teriyaki beef was a bit overcooked, so next time when I order, I will order it medium rare. Otherwise, we love this place and will be back again and again. read more

We decided to sit at the bar where you can see the chefs making the sushi and they're able to hand it right to you. The garlic edamame was phenomenal and seasoned so good. Loved the chicken yakisoba and has an interesting sweet and savory sauce on it. Charlie special was my favorite roll as someone who is still getting used to sushi. Well we live close by in Desert Shores , this restaurant has been my go to Sushi place for over 20 years .Saturday night was craving sushi but didn't want to bother dining in restaurant . So ordered on line My favorites mochi mochi a rice -less roll w tempura shrimp , topped in tuna .there was no tempura shrimp in the roll it was tempura I think squid n it was tough to bite The tuna was inedible , couldn't even chew it , it should have been scrapped belonged in the trash. I have no idea why I haven't written a review about sushi fever yet. I've been coming here religiously for ten years now and they have never disappointed. Upon walking in, you are greeted by all the staff and chefs behind the sushi bar. You have the option of being seated around the bar or at a table. Both are a wonderful experience. Sitting behind the bar is a different experience as you get to converse with the chefs and I always have a good laugh! The sushi is always made to perfection and served within fifteen minutes of ordering, no matter how busy it is. They bring a complimentary cucumber salad as soon as you sit down which is always fresh and the paired sauce is phenomenal. You can always tell when a cucumber has just been cut or has been sitting for a while in an attempt to "prep" before serving. However, sushi fever always has fresh cucumber salads and rolls. When ordering takeout, the same quality is provided along with utensils, ginger, wasabi and sauces one can request in house (eel sauce for example). Although they do not have AYCE, the prices are reasonable. Personally, I am full after 2-3 rolls, so AYCE never excited me. It was an all-hands on deck kind of place where multiple servers helped each other. There are a ton of options for everyone - the menu is a book with great photos. There is your typical nigiri, cut rolls, hand rolls, a ton of special rolls (including tempura, baked, no rice and deep fried), Chirashi Bowls, Teriyaki entrees, Hibachi, Donburi, Udon/Ramen, and randomly Korean BBQ. We ordered the Charlie Special (spicy tuna crispy rice), Yellowtail sashimi, Salmon Roe nigiri and the Mistake Roll (Chopped spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab, cucumber and masago). My first visit here and can say they left a good impression. Me and my brother got the sushi boat with the "Randy Special". Love the ambiance here. They have a good size bar top, the room seems to be divided in two sides one with the bar and the tables spaced at a decent distance. My only complaint is that there's zero music, unless something is wrong with the system during this visit. The sushi was great, the wait staff was great and I expected a longer wait for a full boat.
