They have 6 different kinds of French toast. We tasted 2 of them, and they have the same taste. Just different toppings. The price for the French toast with eggs, bacon and home fries was $17. Now they charge $18 just for 2 slices of brioche with some sauce that resembles the old Banana Foster sauce, and an additional $6 for the eggs, bacon and home fries. Disappointing, and more expensive than it's worth. Walking into a restaurant to be held hostage by some speech about a small store selling books inside the restaurant?! Yeah, don't do that. If we hadn't already ordered, we would have left. No refill on water, no inquiry about any other drinks. I wasn't even finished with my meal and the server slapped the check on the table and walked away. If that doesn't make you feel "welcome to leave", I don't know what does. Looking around, I find it unacceptable to bring food to the table 5 minutes apart for every person at the table. The staff now wears embroidered shirts with the restaurant logo (except for one, she was just chewing her gum while taking orders- also, ew), and the atmosphere has changed from casual to "we wanna be high end, we made some money so now we want you to pay more". I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management.
