The owner, Patrick, was personable, adding a special touch to the experience. Excellent food, we had the Fish and Grits and Peach Cobbler Bourbon French Toast - exceptional service, we'll definitely be back and highly recommend La Fête Cafe.

We are not sure what happened, but the place changed. The old staff (who were relaxed and fun to be around) are all gone, the delicious food we kept returning to have is also gone, replaced by a menu that doesn't know what exactly this restaurant wants to be (tacos, fried chicken, attempt at French menu items, etc). They have 6 different kinds of French toast. We tasted 2 of them, and they have the same taste. Just different toppings. The price for the French toast with eggs, bacon and home fries was $17. Now they charge $18 just for 2 slices of brioche with some sauce that resembles the old Banana Foster sauce, and an additional $6 for the eggs, bacon and home fries. Disappointing, and more expensive than it's worth. Walking into a restaurant to be held hostage by some speech about a small store selling books inside the restaurant?! Yeah, don't do that. If we hadn't already ordered, we would have left. No refill on water, no inquiry about any other drinks. I wasn't even finished with my meal and the server slapped the check on the table and walked away. If that doesn't make you feel "welcome to leave", I don't know what does. Looking around, I find it unacceptable to bring food to the table 5 minutes apart for every person at the table. The staff now wears embroidered shirts with the restaurant logo (except for one, she was just chewing her gum while taking orders- also, ew), and the atmosphere has changed from casual to "we wanna be high end, we made some money so now we want you to pay more". Disappointing.

This has become an issue at some restaurants. The Ambiance is pleasant and not "noisy". A very pleasant experience. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

We were seated in a booth closer to the bar since it had quicker seating and we had no issue with the placement. Appetizers for the fam included their spinach artichoke and frosted croissants. I really enjoyed their spinach artichoke and we all agreed it was one of the better one for a larger chain restaurant. Now I must admit that the frosted croissants were almost a kryptonite to my diet lol. Now for my entree I opted for a 10oz sirloin with a side of mashed potatoes and sweet carrots. I really enjoyed the sides including the white gravy. The seasoning on the steak was a bit heavy but it came out good overall. Service was pretty good and only required a handful of us needing to check in. Overall I would have no issue coming back.

The staff were friendly and the food came out relatively quickly. My husband and child enjoyed their wings, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered the smoked wings with the Cajun rub, something I had been really looking forward to. What I received did not look or taste like smoked wings at all. I even double-checked with our waitress, who confirmed they were indeed the smoked wings but they didn't meet the standard I expected. The drinks were okay. I do suggest the piña Colada, that was delicious. Overall, while the atmosphere and service were good, the quality of my meal left me disappointed. It is what it is

The food wasn't bad - pretty typical Hooters. And typical me NOT being a wings guy, I got a sandwich. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and well, what can I say really? It's a fast food (ish) place that's more on the Chili's side than the Wendy's side (or fast food). Like, you know, Chili's, Applebees, ... the kinda place that's fast food but still sit-down / menu? I don't know if that makes sense, but regardless, it's Hooters. A once iconic place that's now just... Hooters. Same category as Dennys Service was fine. None of the staff were particularly thrilled to be there, but I mean, why would they be lol Ambiance: bunches of TVs with lots of sports. NBA was finished, Olympics hadn't started yet and neither had NFL, so it was just random and obscure sports but fun to watch nonetheless
