Then the technician came and said $249 per spring total $498. I was in a hurry so OK whatever. After it's all done, he said adding $99 installation fee to it, the total price + tax is $646.80. Does it sound like a scam to you!? I know the price went up but a few years ago when people quote me a similar job say $300 and that's the final price. Just be aware about it before you rejecting others with quotes higher than $299. $299 seems like a good price but people use it to trick you into rejecting other honest businesses. The tech also put a sticker on the wall said 24/7 Garage Door Experts. So, I really don't know which one is their real name. Just be aware!

I knew it was a spring because we had them replaced before and you could see it but they wouldn't give you an estimate until they got there. I'm not a fan of being at someone's mercy.
