3.5 stars... Chose the 6 pour sampling... Not impressed with any of the whites, though the Grenache was the best of those. Pagans didn't do it for us but House red and singular were both very good. This is a really unique spot with awesome views, knowledgable and friendly service, and great wines. Our server took a lot of time to explain to us each of the five wines served in the $700 MXN tasting menu. Most vineyards only do four. I bought a bottle of Singular to go ($1350 MXN). Most vineyards in Valle are very boutique, and therefore generate low production, which yields higher price. It's the cost of doing business. Take some time to enjoy the incredible wall art here and beautifully designed tasting room. read more

Reservations are required for this winery in Valle de Guadalupe but we arrived early enough in the day that they were able to seat us for a tasting although we didn't have a reservation. The staff was friendly and attentive, explaining each pour in detail, and the views were beautiful and expansive. I loved the artistic design of the place with hanging vines and large, colorful murals. What we didn't like was the wine. We tried the flight with 2 whites and one red and all were extremely bitter and acidic. read more

We loved the wine here the best out of 4 wineries we went to in Valle. The ambiance is very artsy/ hipster. I recommend dressing warmer in winter as the main tasting room is kind of chilly (this would be super nice in summer though!). We ended up getting two bottles - the Singular (love the logo!) and the Tinto de la Hacienda. Both were so good. read more

We had a fabulous tasting experience a La Lomita. Per the recommendation of a friends who said this was one of their favorite wineries in the region, we made a 4pm reservation for a tasting prior to having dinner at Traslomita Restaurant across the street. Very relaxing and chill experience. We had a private table in the upstairs tasting area with a large, comfortable couch and several rocker chairs, all overlooking the grounds. We had the Premium Tasting of three wines and rose. The Reds were all well-balanced, flavorful, and featuring distinct, crisp notes. The building itself is like a small castle - be sure to check out the rooftop! Recommended experience. read more

I have been to this winery quite a few times, and every time it gets it is prettier or prettier. They keep improving the space and adding nice murals. It is very nice looking down onto the wine country. We're doing the old-school tasting which is five different wines.Chardonnay, clean and a hit bitter and acidy in the end. Tinto, cab, syrah, merlot blend- bold a bit too bitter also. Pagano, 100% Grenache- it is good with lingering taste of rosemary. Sacro-Cab 50% Merlot 50%- this wine is better. Lunario, Cab Franc 50% Merlot 50%. I did not buy any wine here. read more

Do not go here. Worst service I've ever experienced. They were not accommodating, flexible or in any way did they enhance our groups visit. I was mind blowned by the service at other wineries and how customer-centric their operations were. This place is beautiful! There is an awesome seating area with beautiful murals along the walls. It has a great view and a relaxing chill vibe that would be great to just sit and enjoy. They were renovating the balcony/terrace area so we did not get to sit and enjoy the space but we will definitely be back to do so. It's a perfect stop after having breakfast at La Cocina de Doña Esthela since it is right next to it. They had good wine! The staff was very knowledgeable and recommended various other wineries with similar decor and structures since we loved la Lomita's architecture and vibes so much - everything they recommended was absolutely amazing. There is a beautiful garden and restuarant area but we did not have the opportunity to eat but it would be an incredibly space to hold an event or wedding. Hacienda la Lomita is one of our favorite wineries in El Valle and we have visited about 15 of them. It is amazing and wonderful and highly recommend it! read more

I chock this place on solely for a visit to see some nice views, pretty art on the walls and being relaxing, the wines were just ehhh. If anything just drink the three superior wines vs doing the six tasting one. The first three are ok, but once you hit the other reds you start to get a better experience. The tasting leads are pretty novice, so don't think you're coming here for a wine education. read more

Our plan was to go to brunch at La Coina de Doña Esthela and then come to Lomita for our first winery (along with 200 other yelp enthusiasts) but the wait for brunch was 3 hours long so we decided to go straight to Lomita. What made this place for me was the staff, they were very friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain their wines in detail. The view didn't hurt either, and the tasting room was a unique layout with art painted on the walls, hanging succulents, and seating. I purchased the rose to bring home with me, and would have our purchased more if my husband wasn't with me holding me back ;) Will recommend to my family and friends! read more

The wine maker is from Napa. The structure of the wines will taste familiar to Napa fans. The flight we had consisted of Chardonnay Rose Grenache Cab, Merlot, Syrah blend The Chardonnay was my favorite. Well balanced, light to medium body. Very good wine for the price. Out of the couple wineries we visited this one was pretty good. We did not have a reservation but ended up getting in after a little persistence. Prior to arrival, there was availability for a tasting at 11 and 1 so we decided to go. Once we arrived, the maître d advised that there was no availability due to a private party coming in at 1. I explained that I was unable to come to the 11 am reservation, but was able to come at 1 and confirmed my reservation. She said there's only availability at 11, 1 and 3 and that for some reason 1 pm wasn't "blocked out". So I said ok I'm able to make a reservation at 1. There was a back and forth dialogue that sort of got heated because she wasn't making any sense. What time slot was available today? Overall the experience was horrific as the maître d was so rude and disorganized. read more

We had a terrible experience. Very rude and unfriendly. Do not give them your credit card in advance, they will take advantage of you! We arrived late due to a cycling event on the roads and they refused service or any wine bottles, and charged $250. This is much more than our group would have spent and no product/service was ever provided. read more

The food and wine here are fantastic! The rose cursi is my fav. The restaurant is beautiful and prices are affordable. My only complaint is that our second dish took 45 mins to come out. Other than that this is one of my fav wineries in the valle. Try the agua tamarind at the restaurant. So good!! The green ceviche was delicious! Worst service ever. Me and a group of friends were late to a reservation. We said we would arrive at 4 but arrived at 4:20. This was due to a cyclist marrathon happening in Valle. We weren't aware of this and it ended up closing down roads and causing traffic delays. Roads in valle are mostly dirt and due to rain there was flooding. There was also no phone service in Valle. When we arrived the manager (Gabriela Herrera) mentioned that she couldn't accommodate us because we were too late. She said she charged us $250 US dollars for missing the reservation. Despite the fact that we did show up and knowing that the roads in Valle are 1) unpaved/limited 2) there was an event 3) we were late yet still arrived, she still did not want to work with us. We couldn't even get $250 in credit to at least purchase the wine. She was extremely rude and confrontational from the moment we got there. I truly don't know how she became a manger when she has no concept of customer service. Ultimately, I would not return here nor would I recommend anyone else too. They are scammers and their goal was to keep the $250 from the start. read more

While on a girls weekend in Ensenada, my friend suggested that we taste at this winery. She had been here a couple of times during her past visits. Esthetically, the winery was charming and full of artistic flair. The most important reason that I have given Hacienda la Lomita five stars is that the wine is lovely, tasty, and unique to the area. The wine labels are creatively designed reflecting the style of the vineyard. Jorge Tellaeche is the artist who is featured in their winery. He is so talented! I chose to purchase a bottle of their white Sauvignon Blanc Enspacio blanco and a bottle of red Discreto Encanto. The Espacio Blanco is like a traditional Sav Blanc in the fruity crisp flavors. Enspacio blanco is an unique bottle in that the notes are flavorful and elegant. The bottle of Discreto Encanto has a beautiful label of a woman tucked in a valley of flowers by Charles Glaubitz, an Illustrator from Tijuana. I love their mission statement that La Lomita is about "family, dreams, and noble transgressions." Cesar and Maria were a great addition to our wine tasting experience. They were very helpful and informative. I can't wait to return next year. read more

They did not attempt to bore us with details but as long as we were interested, we were entertained with interesting details. The wines were affordable yet distinct. We were beyond fortunate to receive a private tour of the winery by the owner Fernando and co-winemaker and sommelier Jonathan. The cave is built into the land making one interpretation of the name quite literal. La Lomita was one of the very first wine makers and while they remain grounded in that tradition now the family's work also includes cutting edge production, and the two personalities of La Lomita make each even better. The winery is nice but i'm not too keen on their wine. we did the tour as part of our winery tour with our group. we got about 4 tastings, then the tour guide took us down to the barrel rooms. the tour guide was nice and spoke descent english. but i wasn't very impressed with the guy who served us the wine. he wasn't very friendly and did not speak much about the wines at all. he just poured, said the name and said drink. the tasting room is very nice but pretty small. i probably wouldnt come back again unless it was part of the winery tour. read more

I absolutely LOVED this place. From the atmosphere to the wine, I was totally impressed! I had the premium wine flight and enjoyed every single wine. I even purchased two bottles to take home! The bottle art is also beautiful and would make this wine a great gift or souvenir for someone. The tasting room is very well decorated and has a trendy but relaxed vibe. I loved being able to walk along the gardens as well. There is an area in the back with a pond and waterfall. We received some great recommendations here as well. Their sister winery Finca la Carrodilla was also one of my favorites. This is an especially good place for those looking for a cute winery with a feel in between hole in the wall and huge commercial production. read more

One of my favorite wineries in the Valle. Their gravity fed system is state of the art. Their wines are excellent and the staff is wonderful. Definitely take the tour here to see their state of the art winemaking facility. It is indoor/outdoor, but carved into the hillside, so it stays about 60 degrees naturally. Their barrel cellar is equally impressive as it too is carved out of the hillside. All in all a great stop on the Ruta del Vino. read more

This is my first ever yelp review, but I felt compelled to write it. We arrived late to our wine tasting reservation, but CANNOT justify the attitude that we received from the employee who "welcomed" us. We had paid a 3,000 MXN deposit for a group of 10 people. She was not only rude reminding us several times that it was our fault (true), but failed to give us any additional options (i.e. A different time slot, a brief tour without the tasting, a bottle of wine so we could at least taste one of their wines, obviously at a tiny portion of what they would keep as the deposit was nonrefundable, etc.), but as we kept asking if there was anything we could do to experience a bit of their winery, started raising her voice practically wanting us to leave at right that moment. To make matters worse, she said they welcomed clients on their waiting list with our time slot, but their tasting room was empty. I work for the service industry, and would never imagine treating any of our customers in that manner. I was looking forward to tasting their wines, and would have come back to try at another time had we received a different service attitude. Now I will just skip it in future trips to Valle. read more
