After a conversation with Mr. James about the history of this location and the importance of their reputation and providing positive customer service, I came to the conclusion that this food is best enjoyed hot, fresh, and in house. There are a plethora of spaces for all kinds of people, whether quiet and reserved or lively and communicative. Sunshine's has a partially shaded patio that has a great ambience and honestly a pretty good place for small gatherings. To speak on the quality of the food, my experience this time around was excellent. I ordered the Black Bean Burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The patty was perfectly cooked and the addition of the veggies made it such a nutritious and light lunch. The only addition I would make is having a sauce ON the sandwich. However I did get some vegan mayo and a smoked sauce on the side to help with adding some moisture to the sandwich. Overall I am very grateful that I got to have a second experience here as I was hoping to become a loyal customer. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to find a cultured food joint that emphasizes health consciousness!

My only personal preference is that I'm not a fan of beyond meat substitutes, so that kept it from being a favorite for me. Next time, I plan to try the black bean burger instead. I also tried the Golden Milk juice, not a favorite of mine. The food was fresh, the portions were satisfying, and it's a great option for anyone looking for vegetarian or plant-based choices. There are ready made sandwiches (roast beef, veggie, chicken salad, tuna salad, turkey), and ready made salads available a la carte such as chicken salad, greek salad, spinach salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, etc. My favorite at FC, however, is the salad trio. You get to pick 3 salads from the salad bar for $5.99, I usually get the chicken salad, greek salad, and fruit or hummus. The chicken salad is so good because they use strips of chicken, not chunks. And it doesn't have too much mayo! The owner/manager (I think his name is Ahmed?) at this French Corner location is super nice, you get a 10% discount if you are a student.
