Very cute diner, nice staff. The food came out very hot, it is no wonder this diner is busy and popular. Ordered the double cheeseburger with fries and fried mushrooms. Fries were really good, burger and veggies were fresh and although the meat patties were flame broiled, I would've like it to be charred a bit. I think they do it that way to keep the beef juicy and tender. Mushrooms were also good. They have breakfast items and shakes. Nice place to support local!

The menu it's pretty simple, burgers are all they have but it's honestly the best burgers far from any place you might have in mind. The onion rings are fire as well. You place the order in front then they call you pretty quickly. Also the lemonade it's super good not too sweet and natural. If you're looking for burgers this is the perfect place.

If you didn't know before? Well now ya do! Annie's is the OG burger joint from before The Burger Joint. This is a must try if you want a classic burger in Southwest Houston. Annie's keeps it simple and delivers great flavor on the cheap. They even offer breakfast for all my early birds out there! You order at the counter after reviewing a classic blackboard menu and can choose from a few different options. My go-to order is a cheeseburger with a side of onion rings with a lemonade for the drink. Their homemade lemonade is in a big jar in the middle of the counter so it grabs your attention as you order. If you want dessert they have good brownies. After you order they give you a number, you can find a table and they call you when it's ready. Breakfast is your classic diner offering in Annie's own way. You can order pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy... all good options but I get the breakfast plate or a waffle. A meal will cost you about $10-13 depending on what you get, but the individual options are priced well enough for budget orders too.

Just stopped at an old place called and Annie's hamburgers. It's been here about 50 years. It was really good. The staff was very sweet. The hamburgers - they put the vegetables on the bottom bun and the meat on top which is different for me. But it was really good pretty juicy. The onion rings were super crispy just like I like them almost burnt but when you bite them the onion cuts and so no pulling on onion strings. The French fries were crispy and good. Cute place - worth coming in and checking it out. Irania works the cash register and she was so sweet. They they have this homemade lemonade that's ice that looks like snow. It's really good not too sweet not too sour. I'm sure I will be back.

This was our first time visiting Annie's hamburgers and we absolutely loved our meal. We all got the cheeseburgers and got the onion rings and fries to try. Everything was delicious and the employees were so sweet. Don't be intimidated by the seediness of post oak, Annie's is a must try!

We saw this place online and that it was called a Houston staple (they've been in business a long time!) and tried it out. The value is great! Fries $3. They're crispy! A beer place is only as good as its fries and these are good. The burgers are really good. About $5-$7. Perfectly cooked. Juicy. Flavorful. We went right before the lunch crowd but it started getting busy with people on their lunch break. It's obviously a popular place. The food came out fast. I wasn't crazy about the lemonade but the food was good. I'll definitely be back. The place is large and clean. No issues there.

Quality of burger has declined. Meat is really thin. To add place is dirty with gnats flying around.

To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

I went with the Double Good Burger at Johnny Good Burger, and honestly... it was surprisingly good. The fries deserve their own shoutout: extra crispy, hot, and downright addictive. No soggy sadness here. I kept telling myself "just one more" until the tray was mysteriously empty. All in all, a very satisfying burger experience. If you're in the mood for a legit smash burger and happen to be wandering POST Houston, this one's absolutely worth stopping for.
