UPDATED 8/23/18 Since publication of the review left above a couple of years ago we had One Source & Ray on a recurring service basis. The last service was in the Fall of 2017 and somehow we got off the track for recurring service. So earlier this month (AUG 18) I reached back out to Ray to re-establish service. We scheduled a day for him to come out but the service was not performed. For some reason Ray did not show up. And despite multiple calls and texts over the past couple of weeks, I have been unable to reach Ray. This is so unlike him and makes me hope that all is well with him. Nevertheless, I am now forced to look for a different provider. One Pest was great to work with in the past but this recent experience has been very disappointing. I came home to a house full of flies after a 3 day vacation. I had taken out the garbage, didn't leave any food out, and closed all my windows. I started googling because it was late at night and read that there was possibly a dead rodent carcass in my house and sometimes if they're small you can't smell the decay. I called Ray because I had the creeps thinking that a rat got in somewhere. Ray gave me an approximate time of when he could come over and even called me when he was running late so I wasn't chained to my house. He did a thorough inspection and gave me some really good advice. He thought that may there was something in my kitchen sink and let me know I could take care of the issues on my own. Since moving to Orange County three years ago, One Source has provided great service and advice! I've heard nightmares about homes being built on ant hills with recurring infestations that people can never seem to conquer. But with our monthly service, that never happened. When I did find a few ants scoping out our home right before we had out of town guests arriving, One Source quickly came to our rescue and they were banished, never to return. We moved into a house that had been vacant for a bit and had quite the spider population. I wasn't too concerned, until I learned that the weird little spiky balls on our backyard fence, were brown widow eggs. Since we have a toddler, I freaked out and begin searching for a pest control service. I called a few national chains and I wasn't too impressed. I then found a recommendation for Ray on Nextdoor. Thank goodness! He was easy to talk to, had great rates and was able to come the very next day to help me out. To ensure our home never becomes a spider haven again, I signed up for the quarterly maintenance program. And I am SO happy I did. I woke up to thousands of flies in the house, all along my window sills. Even after an hour of killing the tiny flies and cleaning up the mess, the flies reappeared out of who knows where. I called and left messages for three OC pest control centers. The operator at one place said they'd put out an urgent message and that I would hear back within 24hours. Another placed asked me for photos and then never responded after I sent them. Then Ray came into the picture. After coming back from a 3 weeks vacation, my housekeeper discovered several dead insects inside the house. They looked like a giant flea to me. They were such an ugly creature that I freaked out. I immediately started looking for an exterminator. Luckily for me, I came across "One source pest service" and due to the high reviews, I gave them a call. I immediately got a call back from Ray and described the creature to him. He told me that what I described sounded like a "Lawn Shrimp" and sent me a picture to confirm. He was right! He explain that these weird looking creatures come out of the soil and sometimes make it to the house through small openings in the foundation/house. Once they make it to the house they die, so there is nothing you can do. There is nothing to spray, it is just an annoyance. Anyway, I appreciated Ray's honesty and help. Can you say life saver? My post is long overdue but definitely much needed to express the wonderful relief I've had since Ray came out and solved my ant issue! I message so many different pest control on yelp explaining my disgusting ant issue & Ray was the only one that responded the quickest and moved his day around which by the way was the day after Christmas to come service my ant issue. It's been how long now? 6 months? That I've not seen a single ant. What a relief!! I had my ant issue Summer 2016 till Christmas Day I was just so frustrated as I literally stopped cooking in my kitchen afraid to see an ant. However, even doing that...the ants still came! Ray came out the day after Christmas examine the problem area and did his spray around the house found the leading cause which was the ant farm! Sprayed the ant farm and then no more ants since that day. I'm telling you I was so frustrated and tried the home remedy DIY route of baby powder which made my kitchen look more awful and then just got so disgusted tried not to even have anything in the kitchen. One day, I noticed the ants coming out from my outlet which I was like this is ridiculous I need professional help. Thankful for Ray and wished I wasn't trying all these DIY remedies as it could've saved me half a year of not dealing with crazy ants! On another note, I have an office building that for some reason rats were crawling into the building. Yes disgusting! Worse is the office building doesn't have any restaurants! Yesterday Terminix did a termite inspection and found evidence of rats in my attic. After giving me a big pitch on what they could do to get rid of the rats, I sought other opinions. Ray came out today and charged me nothing and said I don't need him. The real problem is my roof. It needs to be repaired so that the rats cannot get in.
