Fabulous restaurant. They went with the beef Wellington that people talked about in reviews and it more than lived up to the hype and expectations. It was fabulous. Awful!! All the food tasted old and zero flavoring, no salt, no seasoning. We turned the eggs Benedict back bc it was 1. Gross 2. Cold 3. Gross. Our server told us he gave us 10% off, like what?! We attended Mother's Day brunch at this establishment. The crab cakes were not very good. I found the spinach and artichoke dip, had very little spinach and was drowning in cheese. The chicken tenders were the best part of all of the food we had! They were very crispy and the French fries were seasoned well! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We took a trip to the restroom, which felt like a freezer, but was very clean and fully stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. Well we saw a cute place walking at the back of Fiji sushi so we had to stop. We went upstairs and sat outside. David took excellent care of us (and the whole restaurant)! We ordered the ouster trio - bacon Gouda, garlic Parmesan and Rockefeller. Yum yum yum!! Perfectly cooked and served with toasted bread! The inside is a relaxed feel with dim lights and each table has its own lamp for an intimate feeling. First the highlights- server was friendly, we were seated quickly with our reservation and the brunch menu was fun and not crazy pricey. The drinks were well made and the bar area was quiet although the main dining area seemed a bit crowded and loud when we left. The only reason I'm dinging a star is because of the wait time. To wait over an hour for food and 20 minutes for alcoholic drinks was a bit insane. Even for a weekend brunch. From start to finish. We were done in about two hours. Which is good because the free parking next-door is only for two hours. I would probably be less upset about the weight. If my food wasn't starting to get cold by the time I got it, so we were waiting on someone else's food and our party. The timing was just off. Otherwise I do recommend. We will go back. Theirs had crab and a piece of toast, mine had no crab, no toast, and was mostly rice. I also tried to order the Caesar salad but was basically told no by the waiter because I already ordered the soup as an appetizer, didn't quite understand his point. I went here while visiting Biloxi, let me just say I was pleasantly surprised. It was storming pretty bad out so it wasn't packed at all. Although we made a reservation we were quickly sat because it was just my family and another party. We were given wonderful recommendations by our server and our food came out quickly and hot! The ambiance is also very nice! Not too loud, not too cold, but just right! I loved the way it was decorated too. We came in during brunch so of course we all tried different breakfast items. My dad had the chicken and waffles and loved how the waffles were made. My sister had the Stuffed french toast (yes you heard right - STUFFED French toast) I had never heard of stuffed French toast but it was sooo good, it had a cream cheese filling and berries on top. My mom had the burger which was delicious! Can't go wrong with a good ole burger. I had the shrimp and grits, it was really good! It had a super unique flavor that worked perfectly for the dish! My husband and I visited here for the first time with friends. The food taste good, the waiter was great, but we were concerned about the cleanliness of the dishes. My husband's cup had visible gunk on the side near the rim, it was chunky and I was able to wipe it off with my finger. He didnt trust that drink after seeing that, so he stuck with his water. Our friend had a huge hair in his shrimp pasta dish and had to have it remade. Another friend with us almost didnt get her gumbo, and her gumbo was lacking the chicken and shrimp. It was mainly rice and sausage. I feel like for a restaurant that is supposed to be on the fancy side, wouldnt mess up that much in one visit. Again the waiter was very helpful, very kind, but whoever was cleaning the dishes, can do better. It was gross. We are funny about contamination like that, so we dont plan on coming back, but for anyone who wants to still give this place a chance, I say do it, the food at least tastes good. :) read more

This was my first time dining at One-Thirty-One Lemuse but, it will not be my last! Located about a block north of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Lemuse, it's not hard to find. Take the stairs up and you'll find a really cool, laid-back, dining room with a great looking bar. Since it was a lazy Saturday around brunch-time, I found a seat at the bar and ask for a menu. Everything on it looked great! So, since I couldn't make up my mind, and it was my first visit, I just started ordering different things to try. The Oyster Sampler was up first. 6 each of Gouda & Bacon, Rockefeller, and Chargrilled. The Bacon & Gouda oysters were AMAZING!! Holy cow... That combination of flavor is heavenly! Definitely my favorite oyster on the plate. The Rockefeller oysters were some of the best Rockefeller style I've had in a long time but, because the Gouda & Bacon were SO good, they got outshined. The Chargrilled were also incredible. Wood fire grilled, seasoned perfectly and incredibly delicious. But again, those Gouda & Bacon oysters stole the show... Honestly, I don't see how this place isn't known for their oysters. They are some of the best I've had in a long time. And that's saying a lot. I LOVE oysters and I have eaten them in some very renowned restaurants. These are easily on par or above many that I have eaten. Just... WOW! The Corn and Crab Chowder was my next dish. The flavors were complex and well balanced. I didn't expect to find alligator sausage in the bowl but, I'm glad I did! This was a great chowder. Very fresh ingredients and everything blended together well. The big lumps of crab meat were delicious. Excellent choice the bar manger suggested. Out next were the duck poppers. I really enjoy a good duck breast and when it's wrapped in bacon and stuffed with jalapeño cream cheese, it really doesn't get any better! The blackberry gastrique was a great contrast to the richness of the duck popper. I could have eaten 2 or 3 plates of these!! My final dish were the crab cakes. I really love a good, no-filler crab cake. These were done perfectly. Lots of fresh crab meat, lightly seasoned, and seared just enough to keep them from falling apart. Light, airy, and the sweetness of the crab really shined. This is how a crab cake should be done! I was blown away on my first visit to One-Thirty-One Lemuse. I can't believe they have been open for nearly 3-years and I am just now finding out about them! The food is amazing. If you're on the Gulf Coast do yourself a favor and go check these guys out. Micheal truly made our day unforgettable. This was the best brunch experience I've ever had. Our server was so funny and had so many different recommendations and ideas based off of what we liked! He actually took note of what we ordered and had us try different cocktails that would compliment the meal. Fantastic! This is a fairly new restaurant in Biloxi. My husband and I had a kid free day and decided to take advantage by trying out a new place for brunch. So glad we did!! I didn't get a picture of my husband's spicy Bloody Mary, but he said it was delicious and perfectly spicy. I had the Poinsettia, never had one before but it is now on my top brunch drinks list. It was Cranberry juice and champagne and had the perfect amount of sweetness and tartness. My husband got the Cuban, it was very different with two types of pork (pulled and sliced). He wasn't a big fan of having pulled pork on his Cuban, but still enjoyed it. I had the seafood omelet, with fried oysters on top. It was amazing. I think the dish would have been perfected if it had some type of sauce drizzled on top. Maybe a hollandaise sauce?? The oysters would have been perfect with a sauce. It was a lot of food, enough for at least two people. Our appetizer was the duck poppers - AMAZING. We enjoyed them so much, I couldn't stop to snap a photo. There was a church group singing that day. It was a lot of fun to watch them while we enjoyed drinks and ate our brunch. We were told they typically have a jazz band on Sundays, but today it was a local church group. Happy to see the local groups getting support. This place was horrible. I cannot understand these wonderful reviews. Being from New Orleans we know good food. My lamb chops came out cold and tasted as though an entire bottle of dried spice rosemary had been dumped on them. I took one bite and could hardly swallow. Sent it back and got a mediocre hamburger. To top it off the server was rude after that point. Tasted a few other dishes on table and they were sub par as well....Won't be coming back and will be sure to tell anyone planning a trip to Biloxi to steer clear of 131.
