We wanted something quick before leaving St. Augustine. One Twenty Three popped up as an option that everyone agreed on without hesitation. My burger hit the spot tonight. I inhaled my Riberia Street Special and before I knew it, I realized I didn't take a picture. Oh well, you'll just have to trust me! It was cooked to a perfect medium topped with Swiss cheese and just the right amount of sautéed mushrooms and onions. My root beer float was the perfect complement. The waiter even served it up with an extra glass of root beer noting "there's a lotta ice cream in that float!" There's also TVs inside. In fact, there were more patrons at the bar-top with eyes glued to the draft than at the booths and tables. Beer and wine are both available but as you can see in the pic, we opted for root beers and milkshakes instead! My only comment is that it took a few minutes to get seated. Just felt awkward standing around at the entrance waiting for a table when there seemed to be a TON of empty tables available. Not going to lie we were actually on our way to a different restaurant when we passed this one on the way and decided to change of plans. This was the best idea ever as we absolutely love this location. The parking lot is a little bit tight during busy times you'll find it's a difficult place to get a parking spot. However there is plenty of side street parking and if you just walk a little bit you'll be right there. the door was held open for us before we could even reach it by one of the staff members. I believe he was one of the managers. He greeted us right away and asked us if we'd rather have a booth or a table as there were options open at the time. We're glad we got there when we did because the place packed up extremely quickly. The menu is pretty easy to go over they have some Pre-built burgers and custom burgers that you can make for yourself. They also offer other options like salad, chicken, and kids meals. I decided to do the mushroom and Swiss and add-ons and blue cheese crumbles. I absolutely love my burger and it was cook the perfect medium that I asked it to be. The fries were also great, they had a really good seasoning on them so they really didn't need much else. if we had been any hungrier we definitely would have gotten a shake or a Sunday on the way out. As they have an ice cream stand inside the restaurant. The Staff was incredibly friendly the entire time. Our waitress check back in on us as did two other managers. You can tell that they're very attentive to their customers. I really love this aspect. Overall: A+ Super pleased with our last minute decision to stop off here. A solid burger, wing, and pizza joint this place delivers on flavor! Our order was fried pickles (perfectly crispy fried delights), Medium Datil Jumbo Wings finished on grill, Fried Chicken Gizzards, and Fried Chicken Livers. The wings were tender and just spicy enough. Only thing I'd recommend is to skip the grilled finish as they are fried then put on the grill which dried them out slightly and a bit too charred. Still delicious though. The Gizzards and Livers were perfect! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. We'll visit again next time we're in town. read more

We ordered two burgers, one was supposed to be well done and the other medium. First, they were both burnt on the outside. Secondly, the medium burger was cold and raw in the middle. This place is nice in that there is a private parking lot... which is a plus considering the proximity to downtown St. Augustine and the difficulty involved with finding parking. Unfortunately that was just about one of the only pros to the restaurant. Social distancing was most definitely not observed in this restaurant. The waitress seated everyone in tables right next to each other. In addition, the mask she was wearing did not cover her nose and seemed to be half way ready to fall off her face. At least the other people working there were wearing masks? The fried pickles were picked as an appetizer; they were quite good - buttered to perfection and fried just right. The rest of the meal went downhill from there. I got the Cali burger... it looked great, but the taste was not great. The bacon was overly cooked and difficult to chew. The burger patty was tasteless and not juicy. I definitely had much better burgers. The french fries were half cold. This was definitely disappointed because I love French fries! read more

Despite the fact that the gizzards sucked big time I am giving this place five stars. My husband and I split a King Street Classic burger. It came with fries and was very good. You can get this burger as a 1/3 pounder or 1/2 pounder. We got the 1/2 pound. The burger was cooked perfectly, as were the fries. Sadly, I cannot say the same about the gizzards. I know my gizzards and these ones were just not cooked right. When making good gizzards you must first tenderize them by boiling them or cooking them under pressure. THEN you coat them and deep fry them. These tasted like they went straight from the meat counter and into the deep fat fryer. Not good. They were chewy and crunchy at the same time, if you can imagine that, and they were not edible. I had asked before I ordered if they were tender and after speaking with the cook the waitress assured me that they were. When she found out that they really weren't she removed the charge from our bill. Later in the evening she let me know that someone else complained about their gizzards too, so it wasn't just me. Despite all of that I feel that this restaurant deserves five stars. Kennedy (our waitress) was great and the gal that greeted us when we got there was wonderful too, jumping around and setting a table for our party of six. read more

Our group of 9 (6 adults, 3 kids but no high chairs) came in at 7:50pm after a night of lights tour & was told to give them about ten minutes. We waited about 5 minutes and a hostess came and told us they would not serve indoors due to sitting other parties ahead of us and they close in an hour. We asked to be seated inside and split our party uo to 2 or 3 separate tables and we would be happy to wait. They said no, that they wouldn't serve us due to closing in an hour and the wait would be 30-45 minutes. I've never heard of this before. No apologies. The kitchen wasn't closed yet and wouldn't be closed by the time we would be sat per their estimate. I'm still really baffled about this. I have numerous friends and family who manage restaurants and I've served in several during my life. We would never be allowed to turn away paying customers. I hope higher management & the owner sees this, reviews the footage & ensures this never happens to another customer again. We had actually called ahead to ask if they could accommodate a party of 9 around 8pm and they told us absolutely no problem but there might be a wait. Never was informed that we would be turned away even if we agreed to sit separately. Can't review the food because we were not allowed to wait to order. read more

The menu has some comfort foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, and Philly cheesesteaks while also offering some salads and grilled sandwiches. Our server was great. He had some good recommendations- We loved the pretzel bites with cheese sauce for the appetizer. They disappeared way too fast to take a picture. I had an old avocado on my sandwich with brown spots and when I mentioned it, he brought me half a new one all sliced up. We split a pitcher of beer and it came with a chiller in the middle so the pitcher stayed cold. Ok so this place has a lock on fried goodness. We tried multi fried items and all were winners. The fried mozzarella was cheesetastic served with slightly sweet marinara. Then the fried portobello mushrooms had a nicely spiced breading and the truffle aioli was a great compliment. And then the fries. They have different options and all are good choices but the homemade waffle-like fries are the way to go. They are thick with a nice crunch yet soft center. Then for the main dish I went with the Greek burger. The first attempt was overcooked but they quickly fixed the issue. Once I got the recook I was a happy camper. The burger was flavorful with feta, fresh garlic sauteed spinach and onion straws. Overall I was happy with the meal.
