As on/near campus eateries go, this one is pretty good. Straightforward menu that includes pizza too. There were five of us so we waited about a half an hour for the table - their wait time estimate was spot on. All of us enjoyed our food, I ordered a bleu cheese burger. They were a little off on the temp - I ordered medium rare and it came out medium, but other than that everything was fine. And the burger had a great flavor to it. Right amount of bleu cheese... sometimes there's too much and it over powers the burger, but not here. French fries were a good supplement. Not sure if I'll have the chance to visit this place again, but if I do find myself in Peoria, I now know where I can get a pretty good meal! read more

A Chicago native, I find this place to have the most diverse food done well. Even their pizza is the closest to a good Chicago thin crust. Their Cuban sandwich has its own spin but I loved it. Their Mac and Cheese is my idea of the perfect version of this classic. It is pricey which is a bit of a shame. Service always fun, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. read more

A group of 8 went here after we found out the place across the street didn't have a liquor license. I'm not sure how a restaurant survives in a college town without a liquor license. We sat outside. Menu is nice and varied. Have a kids menu. We ordered 3 appetizers - the toasted bread that came with the artichoke dip was amazing. Size of dip was a bit small. I had the Cuban sandwich with seasoned fries. Fries weren't really seasoned, but the sandwich was amazing. I can confirm why this is one of the favorites here. Friends ordered chicken pasta, salad, and chicken sandwiches. No complaints as they finished everything. If they had those outside heaters it would have been perfect. read more

We came in at 2 pm expecting it to be an off time and it wouldn't be very busy. We were right but that didn't stop our server from taking more than 5 minutes to even acknowledge us. Or from not checking on us after delivering our food (drink refills would have been nice). The food was fantastic though. The chicken and waffles and the Elvis were soooo good. That peanut butter cream is to die for and the waffles were airy on the inside and crispy on the outside. My kids had no complaints about the quesadilla or eggs and bacon either. Couple of words of caution though - the yogurt that comes as a side for the kids meals is plain. Not vanilla. Not sweetened. My daughter wouldn't eat it. Also, if your kids ask for cherry Pepsi, the waitress will tell you that it's made with grenadine but will not tell you it's a dollar extra. read more

Visited One World after Yelping on a road trip. Delicious! Service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere is nice, with a college town feel. Artsy but not snobbish. But the food was what stood out the most. I got the Eggplant lasagna and my parents got a pizza and specialty salad. I had just visited here recently and the food was amazing. However the only problem I had was with the waiter. She had an absolutely disgusting attitude towards me and my family the entire time. Just throughout the interaction, it was a lot huffing and puffing. Rolling her eyes, condescending tone. Overall ugly behavior. It needs to be addressed and corrected immediately, I managed to get her name thankfully, I believe it was Liberty. I will say she just showed a very ugly personality and I hope she is able to get further training on how customer service should be performed! We love this place! First lunch: I got a southwestern salad (w chicken and thai peanut dressing) and a cup of beef noodle soup. Second lunch: because we returned the following day... I got the tomato pesto grilled sandwich with a cup of cheesy broccoli soup. They have a wide variety of Numi tea to choose from, and you get lemon and honey as well. Nice on a cold, dry day. Great place if you have dietary restrictions like gluten, meat, animal products, etc. At times I feel the size of the menu detracts from the quality of individual items but nonetheless the food is good. I'm not sure what the hype is for this spot. We went yesterday about noon, but ordered breakfast. The server was very friendly, but order taking was slow, coffee refills were slow, meal delivery out of the kitchen was slow and cold. Coffee was tepid. The food tasted OK -- not the best I've ever had, but it didn't make us sick. I had the Breakfast Quesadilla with fruit. The honeydew and strawberries were good; the blueberries were over-ripe and needed to be tossed. DH had the fruit waffle. It was dark, which he likes. The strawberry sauce was good but he said the syrup was the best syrup he's ever tasted. The AC was on in the restaurant so it was cold and I think we were sitting right under a vent which didn't help when the food came out of the kitchen cold.
