A trendy, casual restaurant and bar. Despite it being a busy Friday evening, my party of 4 was seated right away. Our server was friendly and answered all of our questions. We ordered the Antipasti to start, split the Margherita Pizza, Italian Sausage Pizza, and Pepperoni Pizza (not pictured), and ended the meal with a scoop of mango sorbet to share with my husband. I loooved the Antipasti. If you enjoy pickled veggies, tapenade, and charcuterie, you have to order this. I even put some pickled onions on my pizza slice to add a nice sourness to the bite. My favorite was the pepperoni pizza. It comes with mushrooms which made me like it even more. Although the crust was a bit burnt for my liking, the flavor and thickness of the pie was delightful. I really hoped to enjoy the Italian Sausage Pizza a little more since I ordered it for the table, but it was soggy. I made my return to OneSpeed and had a better experience this time. Last time, I skipped the pizza and just went with the pasta, which is not exactly the strength of this restaurant. This time around, I just went with the pizza. I was able to get seated right away when I dropped by on an early Sunday evening around 5p or so. Our server was very kind and professional. Though, it felt like it took a while for our pizza to get to us, I didn't mind the wait. I'm sure if I would've ordered an appetizer, it would've hit the table sooner. - Italian Sausage Pizza (Tomato Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Ricotta, Red Onions, Pepperoncini, Italian Oregano): This one was the better of the two pizzas. The pepperoncini gave this a nice zing to balance the saltiness of the sausage. pretty good pizza. - Pepperoni Pizza (Sautéed Mushrooms, Three Cheeses, Tomato Sauce, Garlic Oil): a pretty good pepperoni. not much else to say. I guess I didn't really taste the garlic oil, and there was a bit of an unpleasant grease puddle at the bottom of the pizza pan from the pepperoni. in general, the pizzas were good but not great. The crust was a little crunchier/hard than I would've liked. I prefer the crust on Obo's pizza down the road. I heard they're closing down this location when the lease is up around January 2027; though, I believe they plan on reopening elsewhere. read more

People are enjoying their libations and it is always lively. The seating in the large, one room restaurant is just as "happening". One Speed is typically filled to capacity by 6 p.m., so get there early or plan on a wait. This is a diverse group of diners. Families, friends, couples... the whole gamut. They are all here for one reason... exceptional food, great wine and beer, and elevated customer service at a pretty appreciated reasonable price given the food quality. Yes, I might classify OneSpeed as trendy and hipster but in a very good "casual" way. Great people watching... discretely...too! If you don't live in the neighborhood, you best plan on a little walk on certain nights because there are only a few parking spots in the back of the restaurant. Otherwise street or neighborhood parking is where you end up. Oh... of course bike parking! Brick oven pizza (known as the best in town), pasta, salads, soups, nightly specials, desserts... all absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Came by on Tuesday night around 6pm and it was a full house! There was a wait time and we were told about 30 minutes for a party of 3. We ordered the herb fries and three pizzas: Rick's, BBQ chicken and pepperoni mushroom. Everything tasted good and definitely enough to take home some leftovers. The olives on Rick's pizza were a really strong taste I'm not used to so that wasn't a favorite for me but we were told it's a popular one. You can definitely tell things are made to order and fresh with quality ingredients. I didn't like that the tables were so close to each other and we were close to other parties dining, but I understand they're trying to maximize their space. Not much parking here since it's mostly street parking but we parked in a nearby residential area. read more

We had an extremely disappointing experience at OneSpeed last night, especially because we had enjoyed it so much previously that we decided to bring my parents with us this time. We arrived around 7:00 p.m. with our toddler and parents were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. The restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. We waited patiently, but as time went on, we watched multiple parties who arrived after us get seated before us. Around 7:45, someone from the restaurant came over and specifically told us, "We haven't forgotten about you." So they were clearly aware that we were still waiting. By 8:00, after waiting an hour with a hungry toddler, my mom and I took him next door for a few minutes while my husband stayed behind. We could see empty tables, yet we were still not seated. We came back and sat directly near the front so there was no way we could be overlooked. Another table cleared, and there seemed to be absolutely no urgency to clean it and seat us. We were finally seated around 8:30 approximately an hour and a half after arriving for what we were told would be a 20-minute wait. Unfortunately, being seated didn't make things any better. We sat at our table for roughly another 15-30 minutes without anyone coming over to greet us, take a drink order, or even acknowledge us. At one point I said out loud, "Wow, they've never taken this long." One of the waiters heard me we literally made eye contact and instead of checking on us, he walked over to a table that had been seated AFTER us and began helping them. They hadn't even had to wait to be seated. Meanwhile, employees were cleaning and attending to tables around us while our table continued to be ignored. By this point, my toddler was beyond hungry and our entire family had had enough. What bothered us most was that we were never rude, demanding, or impatient. We gave them chance after chance and were incredibly understanding. Eventually, we decided to leave without ever even getting to order. My husband spoke with the manager at the front before we left and was told that they had simply "forgotten about us." That explanation honestly made the situation worse, because this was the same person who had approached us earlier in the evening specifically to tell us they had NOT forgotten about us. I don't know where things went wrong or why our family was repeatedly overlooked while people arriving after us were seated and served. After being so visibly ignored for nearly two hours, it was difficult not to question why we were being treated differently. As parents, we don't get many opportunities to go out together as a family, and what was supposed to be a nice evening with my husband, son, and parents was completely ruined. We left hungry, disappointed, and feeling incredibly disrespected. We had liked OneSpeed enough to bring our family there. After this experience, we will not be returning. read more

They also have a killer burger if that's more your...speed :) We love OneSpeed but don't visit super often, so it was a natural pick for our Valentines Day dinner! We arrived at 6:30pm and were totally ready to wait for a table as they don't do reservations, but we were greeted warmly and seated right away at a table where we could watch the action in the kitchen (one of our favorite things to do at a restaurant). No matter what else we are ordering, we ALWAYS have to get a Big Italian salad. I have had actual dreams about this salad. It's just the best salad, and this time was no different. I also had the boquerones appetizer which was different and delicious. We did a half and half pizza with 2 pizzas that were new to us: the pepperoni and the Italian sausage. Side of ranch is non-negotiable, their ranch is unique and delicious and makes everything better! Both were absolutely terrific but the pepperoni was the real standout for us. Always wanted to try this place and finally got the chance. Stopped by about an hour before closing and were seated right away. Started with the Italian salad - wish they chopped the lettuce slightly smaller since I had a couple of bites that were just lettuce without any of the other delicious ingredients. Overall, it was delicious and loved the grilled chicken, chunks of cheese, salami, and olives. The balance is a little off though with the lettuce :/ Ordered 1/2 Rick's and half New Jersey tomato pie- skip the Rick's unless you're a huge fan of potato soup and definitely get the New Jersey tomato pie! The crust on both pizzas was incredible! Thin, crunchy, tasty- I would buy these as bread sticks if they were offered We also got the meat calzone. Great presentation- comes out puffy and they cut it for you table side. Nice dish for a date night :) the calzone was packed with ingredients and was also one of our favorites. We got the mushroom pizza and switched out the mushroom type to the long ones because they are placed after in season overall it was the best thing we've had, especially with the garlic oil on the pizza. We also ordered the salad, beet potato, and smoked trout salad. So many different flavors, but it came together so well. Dined at One Speed for the first time for my mom's birthday. Had heard goods things from several people, so I had this place on my list for a while. And was glad to have been able to finally make it in an check itnout for myself. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and we're quickly seated. The established had an a variety of people dining in at the time, and we were sat a a table right near the large windows, facing the the outside and patio area. We looked over the menus for a little bit, and we're able to sample a wine and a beer that was on the menu before actually ordering. Once that moment arrived we ordered the following: Appetizers: Marinated Olives Spinach Salad Main courses: Gnocchi BBQ Chicken Pizza (x2) Calzone Dessert: Old fashioned soda float Sticky Toffee Pudding Chocolate mousse Affogato Drinks: White wine (before meals) Espresso (with dessert) One of the things I liked about One Speed is the overall look and feel of the restaurant. One Speed has an open kitchen area, when you can see the cooks happily at work. And where you can also see a large brick oven, for off of the fresh pizzas and Calzone type meals. The calzone came fresh out of the fire, and to our table an a nice wooden cutting board. Where our waiter sliced it up right in front of us; wait a nice touch! The calzone was HUGE and full of Meats and cheese, and easily something that would need to have boxed up and have some left overs for. The Gnocchi was beautifully plated and was just as delicious. The BBQ Chicken Pizza was nice and nice, with a crust that had the perfect crispy crunch when bitten into. And was adorned with nice chunks of grilled chicken breast, cilantro and a light amount of BBQ sauce. The desserts were great as well. I personally ordered the Affogato which I think is always a great cap on a great meal. Espresso and vanilla gelato; you can't go wrong with that. The Sticky Toffee Pudding my girlfriend ordered to share, and that was so delicious as well. I was pleasantly surprised, but not at the same time. The dough was chewy, pillowy and perfect; AND it wasn't burnt (I find that a lot of places burn the bottom and you can taste the burn too). They were generous with the vegan cheese too. Came here with a friend to try it for the 1st time since we both love pizza. The herbed fries appetizer wasn't anything to write home about. I expected more of an herb or garlic maybe type of flavor? They tasted like fries and not really herbed or seasoned. But, now the pizza....was delicious. The pizzas I'd say are a smaller medium size or maybe a small depending on where you get pizza? It's plenty for one person, and good for 2 hungry people who also had an appetizer beforehand. At least for me that's the case since I love pizza and always have more than 2-3 slices. Lol The pizza had a great fresh flavor that you get from a fire brick oven. It's simple ingredients wise but delicious. The ingredients are great too like the olives on the Rick's pizza were good and not just the regular canned black olive halves that are on most pizzas. The olives on the Rick's pizza didn't overpower the pizza like the common black olives do. The arugula wasn't overpowering either, Rick's was good. The other side of our pizza was New Jersey tomato pie and it was yummy. The New Jersey side was my favorite, although both sides were great. This was my third or fourth time visiting, which I felt gave me the experience needed to write a proper review. ​For this meal, we ordered a side of olives, a side of fries with aioli, and of course, a pizza. I chose the "Rick's Pizza." I wasn't the biggest fan of this one, as the combination of the olives and goat cheese made it a bit too tangy or tart for my taste. However, I did really like the crispy potatoes on it. The french fries were very good and had a nice salty flavor, which I consider a plus, and the side of aioli was great for dipping. ​I'd rate their pizzas overall about an 8.5 out of 10. While I didn't love the pizza I ordered this time, the crust was excellent, and I've had their other pizzas before which were delicious. So, although I might not recommend the Rick's Pizza specifically, I do think their menu is very high quality. I also can't end the review without shouting out the staff. Someone else on here said the pizza was okay. I think that's fair. It smelled incredible when I picked it up, but didn't translate as strongly when I actually tasted it. Still decent though. The reason I'm bumping it up to four stars was the impression the staff left, even during a brief pick-up order. I was greeted warmly when I came in, and needed to go to the restroom. The guy up front showed me where it was, and when I was leaving after I picked up my food, made a point to come back up front to say thank you. I'll be sure to dine in next time! read more
