The business owner or manager was combative with us about it when asked how they were going to rectify their gross mess. Don't hire a mover that will disrespect you and your wife in your home. Garbage service, you'll never make it in a service industry with that kind of attitude. Save yourself the hassle and get someone else or do it yourself. Business owner "offering to clean it" was actually a smart ass remark made to my wife. If disrespect and attitude is what you want from your movers you found what you're looking for.

I felt compelled to write this, as just had the company walk my home in order to give an estimate…read more The gentleman who attended is actually one of their experienced employees, and would be responsible on the actual day of the move, He quoted 4 to absolute maximum 6 hours, and this included dispatch to/from their offices and 2 differing location drop offs. Quote came in from their office at 8 hours. Total disconnect. I spoke to the owner who said their employee under quotes, why send him??? and then quote on the high side and cover for all eventualities? Again why send an experienced professional, quote figures then follow through with an estimate with "well we only charge you what it ends up". So what is it, the professional mover or the office prices?? This is so unprofessional.

And when you're not organized nor do you have a minimalistic bone in your body like myself, it's soul crushing. Which is why I love the entire Copper Palm crew. These guys are amazing! They show up on time, they move like the wind, they're somehow able to carry things that are easily three times their own body weight...and they're nice! They can take (and give) a joke without breaking stride. Instead of doing one big move, we needed it done in a series of steps, and CP was so helpful with strategy and implementation. The initial portion was moved into their storage warehouse for two weeks (a godsend for "staging") and then delivered to our new house after closing. When it came time for the rest of it to go, they came over early one Friday and had everything from clothes and artwork to chairs and china packed by early afternoon. They were back first thing the next morning for the actual move and we were sitting snug in a new house full of all our cr@p by evening. Were there a couple of small dings along the way? Of course! Because that's what happens when you move! But this crew of guys work hard, work carefully, work thoughtfully and work intelligently. I just wish they'd wear back braces and take more water breaks.

The manager Scott was very unprofessional, stated he accidentally scheduled us in the wrong book because when he was booking our move he was driving to pick up his daughter. We never received a confirmation, just a verbal time and date. If we wouldn't of called around 10am to check where they were the movers would not have come. Save your money and book with another moving company. Side note. The actual two gentlemen who ended up moving us were very nice and helpful. It was not their fault. They were just doing what they were told.

These guys charge by time and all I can say is that at the time we moved our team of guys took sooooooo long to move our stuff. Not only that .. they actually took a break on the way to our new home and disappeared on us for over almost two hours. When we asked where they went they said they had to stop for gas and snacks. We were charged for the time they "filled gas" and had snacks. There isn't much more I can say about this business other than that. The manager stopped by at the end of the job and asked us how things went so we told him about the long break but he didn't say much and we were asked to pay so we did. Conclusion - make sure you ask about the time they charge for and if breaks are included etc.

Despite a previously great experience with Square Cow, I went with blue ribbon based on my realtor's recommendation. Mistake. The movers took ~45 minutes for lunch while moving the items between our start point and destination which they CHARGED us for. They asked if it was OK if they took 15 minutes to stop at a gas station on the way. There was no mention of whether or not we would be charged. We agreed but the break was actually 45 minutes. We had arrived at our new house and were waiting more than 45 minutes for them to arrive. Lo and behold, we were charged for their 45 minute lunch break. On top of that, some of the boxes were delivered to the wrong rooms, even when they were clearly marked. This can be a big problem when we are talking upstairs vs downstairs and you're a petite woman that has difficulty moving boxes. No way would I use Blue Ribbon again.

Needed to relocate my car from Austin to San Diego recently. They offered me a quote on a Wednesday…read moreand honored it until Monday next week to give me more time to finalize my decision. I even made an error in scheduling the pickup which they helped correct at short notice. Terms and conditions were clearly communicated. I was allowed 100lbs of trunk storage so that was a plus! (FYI: S2S is an agent and not the carrier itself.) They also provided a limited $100k insurance for the car (with some terms) included in the quote. They would not assume liability for any items stored in the car itself and that's perfectly understandable in context of the nature of the move. The carrier contacted me separately and coordinated a pickup. They too were very polite and communicative. The trailer understandably could not be driven into residential areas, so I had to drive out a few miles to meet the transporter both at Austin and San Diego. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend their services.

The final price was very close to the initial estimate, and delivery happened within the promised 3-week window. The movers on both ends were punctual and worked hard. However, my experience with the white-glove service is a different story. The pickup crew arrived with zero packing supplies for non-furniture items and even asked to use my materials. When I said I had none, they loaded fragile electronics and lamps into boxes completely unprotected. I have attached photos of the movers on the delivery end opening a box with a smashed glass lamp and broken computer monitors with absolutely no packing material around them. Because this was a deliberate decision to load fragile items bare rather than an accidental mishap, I feel a public review is the most equitable way to address it. I cannot recommend their white glove packing service.

So point one for them They clearly don't have common sense though because they put my flat inch 65 inch tv standing up in a corner with nothing to keep it from falling so guess what happened? It took a week for ME to contact the company to follow up with the claim I filed and she said she would have to confirm the settlement for my tv with the president even though the movers flat out said it was their fault and I provided a receipt for the tv I bought less than six months before they broke it. They never called to approve the settlement and Hunter the so called manager can't seem to call me back even though he's apparently the only one who can give me any info on where my check is or how much it is for. It's been two weeks of "we put the check in the mail." And there is still no check. I had a package from New York get here in three days but a check mailed from Austin to Austin is two weeks late? I call bullshit. I have not heard from anyone and no matter how many times I call, I can get no real answers. The cherry on top? The mover decided after breaking my tv it was a good idea to get my number off my paper work and start texting me to ask me out. WTF??? This company is complete trash and I wish I had read the reviews first. Never again.

The movers acknowledged the damage and signed a form, which was then submitted to the company the following day. I was passed to two different employees who eventually stopped communicating with me after a few days. Also of note: they broke a glass table and covered it up with a plant, so I didn't notice it until after the initial complaint was filed. Chalk it up to another loss. For the TVs, I filed a complaint with the DMV, as I was instructed to do, and now TEN MONTHS later, I've got nothing. The owner of the company (Hunter) LIED to the investigator and said he made me an offer via email. I have never received any offer from this person - email, phone, or otherwise. Zero correspondence. It eventually went to mediation, and now I'm being told that the company is no longer registered as a household goods carrier. However, their website is still fully functional. This company is a JOKE. DO NOT USE THEM.
