Amazing company owned by equally amazing people. They have very competitive rates and are very punctual, my last with them (I've used them more than once) was just furniture so they were going to my parents house and then to mine and my parents live kinda far out there. They found managed the massively steep driveway and arrived on time. Then they managed to find my place when a rideshare I won't name can't find my house. I've decided if I ever move one of the pieces just comes with the place because it was so large I don't even know how the guys managed to get it up my stair case that does a complete turn. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They destroyed both of my large flat screen TVs because the items were not wrapped and secured properly on the truck. Absolutely shattered. The movers acknowledged the damage and signed a form, which was then submitted to the company the following day. I was passed to two different employees who eventually stopped communicating with me after a few days. Also of note: they broke a glass table and covered it up with a plant, so I didn't notice it until after the initial complaint was filed. Chalk it up to another loss. For the TVs, I filed a complaint with the DMV, as I was instructed to do, and now TEN MONTHS later, I've got nothing. The owner of the company (Hunter) LIED to the investigator and said he made me an offer via email. I have never received any offer from this person - email, phone, or otherwise. Zero correspondence. It eventually went to mediation, and now I'm being told that the company is no longer registered as a household goods carrier. However, their website is still fully functional. So point one for them They clearly don't have common sense though because they put my flat inch 65 inch tv standing up in a corner with nothing to keep it from falling so guess what happened? It took a week for ME to contact the company to follow up with the claim I filed and she said she would have to confirm the settlement for my tv with the president even though the movers flat out said it was their fault and I provided a receipt for the tv I bought less than six months before they broke it. They never called to approve the settlement and Hunter the so called manager can't seem to call me back even though he's apparently the only one who can give me any info on where my check is or how much it is for. It's been two weeks of "we put the check in the mail." And there is still no check. I had a package from New York get here in three days but a check mailed from Austin to Austin is two weeks late? I call bullshit. I have not heard from anyone and no matter how many times I call, I can get no real answers. The cherry on top? The mover decided after breaking my tv it was a good idea to get my number off my paper work and start texting me to ask me out. WTF??? The owner of the company, Hunter Armstrong, gives a really compelling and believable song and dance about "this is a family-owned business, built on honesty and trust, we're the best in town, we have the best crew, dependable, careful and respectful with your belongings..." none of it is true. Please, be careful. These are actual photos of how this crew packed our belongings into pods. Furniture was not properly wrapped, headboard/ footboard of our bed wasn't wrapped at all, they put the heaviest of boxes on top crushing all the lighter boxes beneath - the list goes on. The price they charged was ASTRONOMICAL compared to the amount of time it should have taken to complete the job. After bleeding the clock for over 4 hours to move 3 rooms, I started moving boxes into the garage myself. I reached out to Hunter Armstrong twice to try to rectify this situation - both emails have gone unanswered. (He was very quick to respond to my email requesting a quote before all of this happened.) I rarely, if ever, take the time out of my day to write reviews but I truly don't want anyone else to get screwed like we did. Find someone else and save your time, money and sanity. read more

Blue Whale gives you a quote, promises that they will live up to it, and then do not. They destroyed an entire entertainment center, lost boxes, tore a corner off a wall, damaged floors, didn't put furniture back together, and damaged lots of other pieces of furniture. I've used Blue Whale Moving several times in the past. The moves themselves haven't always gone 100% smoothly, but I understand that sometimes things happen. And I've appreciated the genuine effort they've put into making things right. Until now. Blue Whale has some good folks on their staff. Several years ago I used them to move across town, and on the morning of the move, no truck arrived. After a while I called to check in, and long story short: one of their drivers had failed to show that day. We would be waiting a while until another of their crews could finish up and come do our move. One of their office employees came by personally and apologized. She also waited and kept reaching out for updates, keeping the lines of communication open and keeping us apprised of what was going on. Eventually we got a crew, and some extra movers. They knocked out the move crazy fast, were extremely professional, and knocked a good chunk of money off the move as an apology for what had happened. More recently though, I'm left wondering if more and more of those good people have just moved on. My wife and I bought a house this year, and when we moved in, the movers they sent struggled to get our couches up the stairs, and in the process, they dropped one of our couches at the top of the stairs knocking loose several steps. When I let the movers know what they had done, rather than apologize or accept any responsibility, they said "whoever built this house did it in a rush," and tried to blame the broken steps on shoddy construction. I let them know the stairs had survived 25 years just fine until they dropped a couch on them, and we went on with the rest of the move. The next day I filed a claim with the company. That was over three months ago. After not hearing anything for several weeks, I called. The employee who handled their claims said he would contact their vendor and I should hear from them in the coming days. Another week or so passes by, and I hear nothing. So I call again. Again, "any day now." Weeks pass, and after a seemingly endless game of phone tag, I get ahold of Hunter, who lets me know that the employee who handled their claims left the company abruptly, but he's going to handle my claim personally. Another week passes, and nothing. I call back, but Hunter's in a meeting. I try several times before finally leaving a message letting them know I intend to file a complaint with the Texas DMV once their 90 day period to settle the claim is up. That was over a week ago, and as of this writing, I still haven't heard anything. I think there are probably good people at Blue Whale who want to take pride in their company. But whether through bad management, bad luck, or just incompetence, none of that shines through the way it used to. If we ever move again, I won't be using their services. And I'll be telling friends and family to stay far, far away. read more

I have used Blue Whale twice in the past year and both experiences have exceeded my expectations. Most recently, Mike and Jacob took extreme care moving my parents home contents to several destinations. The guys had a "can do" attitude and when complemented for their work, they said it's really just common sense. I had a pickup from Salvation army at the same time and the guys were able to add some things that were rejected to their truck for junk removal. It made sense so I didn't have to make a second appt with Humpback Junk, their sister company. They also made a drop for us at good will with some things rejected by the furniture broker. I hired them to pack my house for staging. They sent 2 guys for $120 per hour. I had and still have several moving boxes. Because they charge for boxes, they didn't use mine. I'm selling my couch before moving. While packing they packed a power strip with a plug for the electric recliner. Literally detached it from the couch and packed it. I went in the pod to see if I could find it. I have not yet. What I did find were several half packed boxes. I've attached some photos for reference. And so many gaps that should've been filled to save space. I was happy to spend $700+ to not have to do this myself and now I have to do this myself. read more

I've used quite a few different moving companies over the years, and I was shocked at how awful Blue Whale's services were in comparison, on every level. It would appear their business model is to underquote, and once your property is loaded on their trucks, drastically increase the price, knowing you'd rather have the experience over with than raise a fuss. When I did bring my concerns to the team, they offloaded me to a higher up, who took great pains to condescend and belittle my concerns, and instead decided to explain how adding numbers together resulted in a larger number. Unsatisfied, I followed up the chain to the President, Hunter. Instead of being met like a customer with a concern, I was treated more like a nuisance and discarded quickly, I assume so he could get on the phone with the next unhappy customer and sweep their concerns under the rug as well. Aside from the awful customer service and predatory pricing practices, the movers themselves showed up in a truck that looked like it had not been serviced in years. They loaded my belongings onto the truck without properly wrapping and protecting any of the furniture. We agreed to meet at the next location, and I waited for them to show up for at least 30 minutes before giving them a call, and I was assured they were almost there. 30 additional minutes passed by before I called again, and they notified me that they in fact were not "almost there" but that the truck had broken down in front of the first location. I understand things happen, and sometimes trucks break down, but it baffled me why I had to call the team to get this information, and why they had told me they were almost there when the truck was broken down on the side of the road. You would be best served going with any number of different moving companies in Austin. In my experience, every single one of them will result in less stress and dissatisfaction than Blue Whale. read more

DO NOT USE BLUE WHALE TO MOVE if you care about your belongings, time or sanity. This experience was far worse than when I used to move apartments in my 20s with a buddy's truck and beer for payment. Look for the one-star reviews in Google and Yelp. THAT was my experience. Packers showed up late on Friday and didn't pack everything in the house. Movers showed up late on Saturday and didn't move everything in the house. They finished around 8pm leaving little time to get rooms situated for bed. I spent Sunday packing and moving what was left. What was packed was packed well but that hardly matters given how awful the rest of it was. Many of the boxes were not labeled. I'm opening boxes from the laundry room and garage in my bedroom. I asked the movers how they were going to protect my new and pricey mattress. "Wrap it" they said. Well guess what? I saw my unwrapped mattress on the dirty floor of the truck being lugged down the ramp and into the house. They drug lawn furniture through the house instead of going in through the side yard gate. A cable for the adjustable bed was broken and must be replaced. Daughter's vanity was reassembled with screws poking out the front. Kitchen table was reassembled upside down on the hardwood floor (no pad which is what I would use) and now has scratches on it. End tables scratched up. Refrigerator handles scratches even though they took the handles off. Dents in washer and dryer. The home I moved out of has a huge gouge in 2-month-old hardwood floors. Movers and packers smoked cigarettes all day and left butts lying around. There's more but this is should be enough to discourage you from using this company. I stupidly did not read Yelp reviews, only looked at the 4.5 star rating on Google which I don't understand at all. I let the owner know via email on the next day because I was livid. To his credit he called and left a message asking to "make it right". But there is no making it right other than to never had made it wrong and we'll need a time machine for that. read more

I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but we just finished moving and it was easily the best experience we've ever had and we have moved 12 times in the last 10 years since we've been married. From the beginning, the owner was extremely responsive, they came out and gave us a very thoughtful quote and took inventory of every item. When they showed up this morning, they took a detailed inventory again and explained that we had a few more boxes then they expected, but told us if we wanted to take some in our car they wouldn't have to charge us for them. We knew exactly what we signed up for, which is never the case when using movers...we even were given almost a $100 credit due to the finally inventory count! The rest of the day was extremely pleasant. All 5 of the movers that showed up were all extremely polite, professional, courteous, and even with this quarantine going on! We also have 3 kids under 7 and they didn't complain once. They wrapped all of our valuable furniture and belongings, and we never for a second felt they were not trustworthy. I can't say enough about TC, who was our main manager for the day...he was helping set up beds, coordinating what went where, and at one point took apart our fridge so it would fit through the door and told us to not worry about a thing. And we didn't. This will be the only moving company I ever recommend or use. Period. read more

If you have the furniture that you value, do not use this company. We had a very expensive henredon entertainment center. they broke off two of the metal handles. It was very obvious when we found the broken handles inside the unit. They never said a word. The handles cannot be replaced without replacing all of the hardware. I was really disappointed in my experience with Blue Whale. They moved my mother out of her apartment in February 2021 and I am still waiting to resolve problems with the move in July 2021. I had waited and waited for them to resolve my issue before posting a negative review, but I feel it is important to share. The people they sent to accomplish the move were very friendly, but young and untrained. They sent 3 guys instead of the 2 I had agreed to. Fine, I thought, maybe it will go faster. The move (which I was paying for by the hour/by the man) took forever and ended up costing more than they had quoted. Many boxes they packed were not labeled properly. Since things went into storage, this is a serious pain for us now. The move ran late into the night, I'm sure they were tired - but I witnessed them dropping boxes of books and other items of my mom's possessions as they rushed to finish. We were moving things into a storage unit and they packed things totally haphazardly - it's been a nightmare to find anything and some of the boxes are now damaged (heavy boxes of books on top of lighter things, etc.) Three of my mother's nice framed (in glass) art pieces were not wrapped at all and placed on the floor of the truck without protection. One of the nice art pieces' broke - shards of glass everywhere. They tried to brush it off as not a big deal - I had to hold my ground that no, this was a very nice art piece and I wanted to make sure the glass was removed so the original signed lithograph was not damaged further. I have had to hound them repeatedly to get a response and resolution to this. I requested to talk to a manager multiple times to discuss many concerns I had about the move, and there has been little to no attempt to provide good customer service. I have never been an irate or unreasonable person, and even tipped the poor kids at the end of the night. I don't see this as their fault, but a total lack of training and quality control at this company. I also realize I didn't pay for a lot of extra moving insurance, and I understand that all they can offer me for the frame damage is $100 (it will cost me $400 to get back to how it was). But more concerning is the complete lack of attempt to respond and discuss my concerns. And the fact that it has taken them MONTHS to cut me a check (I still haven't received it.) I believe they are overwhelmed with work with all the moving going on in Austin and have stopped caring about (or just totally unable to) providing a good service. For a different move I hired a more professional and more expensive company and I was SO GLAD I did - it was night and day difference in how we were handled, how our concerns were dealt with and ultimately, the care and professionalism with which they handled our possessions. I understand that things happen, but this is no way to treat your customers. I will not be using this company again. read more

3.28.2024 - I do not recommend Blue Whale Moving. My wife was at our new home and I was involved in finishing up the move and taking remaining items to our storage unit. Unbeknownst to me, one of the movers hit the dining room light fixture with one of our rolled up rugs and broke one of the posts coming out of the ceiling. I didn't find this out until after I paid and tipped the movers. Had I known about this damage, I would have held back some of the payment to ensure they fixed it or compensated us for the damager. I went thru their process of filing a damage claim and followed up. I never received a return phone call or any communication of any kind. The move was in the latter part of January 2024. After no response, I finally went by their offices and discovered they were locked out by the landlord for non payment of rent. They don't answer the phone when I call and I am probably going to take them to small claims court for the damage. They presented themselves well, seemed to be professional, but after they receive payment they are gone and never to return. I definitely would NOT use this company. Contracted with Blue Whale to move my goods and furniture. They moved them on schedule and damaged a lot of items. They claim climate controlled storage, but my goods were stored for two weeks, and looking at the truck upon arrival for delivery, all the items were stored on the truck exactly as loaded, no climate control. After delivery, and upon submission of claim, the owner apparently disappeared. All emails went unanswered. Finally, after I contacted the Better Business Bureau, the owner contacted me via email and had his newly reestablished "claims department" contact me. They have promised to move the claim along after 144 days when 90 days is the stated time limit to resolve or attempt to resolve claims. I would not recommend Blue Whale under any circumstances. read more

This was the first move ever - and I have moved 16 times by my count - that the day wasn't a drudgery. There was a lot of laughing. Careful, clean and timely service is what I had hoped for. Blue Whale delivered, but I ended up getting so much more. These are thoughtful people. They were on my team. They anticipated my needs and came up with solutions when none appeared available. When a particular and rather huge bookshelf wouldn't fit up the stairs, they offered various completely original solutions. When I was short a wardrobe box, they rigged up a couple of other fixes. I have nothing but bad things to say about Blue Whale Moving. They were eager and helpful when they tried to get my business but it went straight downhill from there. THEY DID NOT USE A SINGLE MOVING BLANKET TO PROTECT MY ITEMS. They tipped expensive furniture pieces on their side and slid them across the floor! Several items were damaged and some items are permanently missing. As others have said, Hunter is the only one who can sort out a claim. And Hunter is never available and doesn't return calls or emails. And to add an insult to the situation, monthly they send me an invoice for a storage fee, which is significantly less money than the damage they caused. However, Hunter, the boss, will not return my phone calls (I've left messages on his machine, with other employees, and emailed for the last THREE MONTHS). Worst moving experience ever. They quoted me an hourly rate based on the moving taking 2 hours ($120/hr.) I then requested an extra hour to pack things up. They arrived over an hour late and only brought ONE mover, and one driver who was a very grumpy elderly man. The mover was helpful and wanted to help me out as much as possible, but he was set up for failure. He asked the driver to help but the driver had a huge attitude. He was taking an incredibly long amount of time to pack things up and had zero sense of urgency and I could sense a lot of tension because the driver kept calling the company yelling at them. He was on the phone with Blue Whale more than he was helping me pack and move. I hinted that we needed to hurry this project up because I'm being charged hourly. I later found out that all he packed for me were my cups and plates. For hours.... Keep in mind that the mover himself was fantastic and he was aware I wasn't happy but tried to accommodate as much as he could. Whoever organized the move was clearly trying to rip me off only bringing one mover out there for an hourly payment. Then they finally got more help from 2 other very young guys who were sloppy and unprofessional. I was in my new place at this point and they finally had the truck loaded up and things were FINALLY moving along. Well, one of the new movers shattered the glass top of my coffee table and said "oh, sorry about that" and apparently they only reimburse .60 per lb. so I'm gonna get what, $2 back?! Once they were ready to go, the grumpy driver had me sign off on all the paper work and rushed me. They charged me extra for the boxes that I was never told was an additional charge. "Sign here to confirm we moved everything" obviously I was in the new place now and they were ready to go to their next job, I trusted that everything was good and everything was moved out... I didn't have time to monitor every move... when in fact later I discovered that an incredible amount was not moved at all! The photos I have attached is everything they didn't even touch. I live alone and couldn't possibly do all that myself in my deadline. I called the office about my experience and she said, "I'm so sorry that happened. This is not usual. We will get people out there either today or tomorrow to complete the job and rectify this experience. So sorry about that." Whew, I'm gonna be taken care of, right? Then I get a call from one of the movers who left his jacket at my old apartment. He mentioned that they gave him a call, but he informed me that they'd still charge me an additional $120/hr. Something they did NOT INFORM ME OF WHEN I CALLED. I spoke with them again and asked. "Oh, yeah it will be another hourly rate of $120/hr for a two-hour minimum" ....why would they not mention that? They are bunch of crooks. From the job not being completed, to them milking the time away on an hourly rate, SHATTERING my coffee table with basically no reimbursement, not being informed of additional fees for packing (which they only packed plates & cups that somehow took multiple hours to do), and them taking care of my customer satisfaction issue only to charge me an additional $240 (without tax) on top of the large amount I already paid. Are you joking? Stay away from Blue Whale. I should have stuck with Einstein's. I've never had a bad experience with them. I'd strongly urge you to give them a call instead. read more

They have kept the broken pieces saying they will repair them but it has been three weeks and I have not been told anything else. They called me to give me a quote. Their earliest availability was two weeks out. Which was fine. But the lady was extremely rude and just kept repeating the date her workers were free rather than explaining that was truly the earliest they could come. Even when I politely asked if it was possible she could help me out because I literally needed help for 2 hours worth of work. She basically kept yelling the date on the phone and I ended up politely hanging up. If they were that rude before even getting started, I cannot imagine the trouble people have had going through the whole process. read more

The movers literally dragged my mattress across my house and outside. There is a permanent sweat stain on my mattress, since the mover did not cover my mattress. To say the least-unsanitary. I'd like to start my review by saying that the 2 gentlemen who moved our things were very nice and kept me up to date on their timeline as I was the second move of the day. I chose this company because my coworker was using them for her move and said their reviews were good. She was ultimately unimpressed with their services as was I. The movers were careless with my belongings. They did not wrap anything prior to putting it in their truck. Not even my white fabric sofa was covered. Needless to say, my sofa came to our new house very dirty. I spent the evening cleaning it and all the cushions which were placed, uncovered, in the truck. Another thing that was not wrapped was my mattress which was snagged in the move. More things damaged: storage containers, dresser, coffee table, and shoe racks. My washer and dryer made the move in good shape, but I cannot say the same for the door in which they had to go through to get to the hook ups. This damage could have all been prevented if my furniture was properly wrapped. I emailed the company (and included pictures) to let them know about the damage and they assured me leaving furniture uncovered was not normal and that I was welcome to make a damage claim. They would also let their Operations Manager know of my experience. That was the extent of the customer service I received. My coworker's furniture was not wrapped either, so I doubt wrapping/covering furniture properly is a normal practice for Blue Whale. With so many moving companies in this area, I would definitely encourage others to take their business elsewhere. A bit more in price is worth it if your belongings are properly protected. read more

I have called the President of Blue Whale, Hunter Armstrong everyday since sending him an email asking for his assistance over a week ago, I have left voicemails, I have left messages with his staff. All of my efforts to try to speak with him and get his help have been to no avail. He has not even shown the courtesy of responding to my requests. I find it profoundly discourteous and rude on his part to not even reply to my requests. I have no choice but to honestly recommend that no one use BlueWhale Movers as my experience has not been good, and in fact aggravated and compounded by Hunter Armstrong's unwillingness to respond to me. I am at this point very dissatisfied with my move and the way it was handled. Below are some of my notes during the move: 1) Two movers presented themselves on the day of the move (in my opinion, an inadequate number for a large and heavy furniture move); 2) The movers spent nearly 2 hours trying to get one large piece of furniture down the stairs. One of the movers did not appear to possess the requisite upper body strength to action such a move and it was apparent. His partner suggested calling for assistance, however he refused); 3) Many of the pieces of furniture were scraped, damaged and dented apparently owing to the fact that no moving blankets were consistently used to protect the furniture as they were being secured in the truck, evidenced by strap marks on a number of pieces of furniture; 4) My wife and son stayed behind in the house to fill-in dents in the walls, and paint and touch up areas damaged by the movers, since we had sold the home and the new buyer walk-thru was scheduled for that evening and the closing the next morning; 5) The movers would disappear without notice many times in the middle of the move, they would sit in the moving truck for long periods of time which resulted in the move being unnecessarily protracted; 6) Blue Whale indicated the move would be finished by mid-afternoon (around 3:30-4:00). In fact the movers did not complete the move until 7:40 that evening; 7) I filed a damage claim or the furniture damages and now need his help to resolve.but now no one will call me back. Sloppy!!! Unprofessional and too expensive. They drove away from my residence before loading all the boxes and furniture...?! No one was in charge. They unloaded unprotected furniture in a sloppy, disorganized manner. My rug was rolled up and folded in half! Our antiques were damaged and expensive knobs were lost. They need to return and wrap our fabrics in plastic and reorganize their chaos. read more

Please DO NOT hire Blue Whale Moving Company for your moves! I was one of the many people that suffered a pipe burst during the Texas Freeze and decided to have Blue Whale move my undamaged furniture down one floor to a new apartment unit. The move only took 1 hour, but when they finished and left, I discovered that two of my watches that were hidden under a dresser were missing! My father and a hired contractor saw the watches before the move, as I have pictures and videos taken to document the damage and send to my insurance company. Hunter Armstrong tried to tell me that I may have misplaced the watches in my car. I filed a police report and am currently working with an attorney to get the watches back or the value if they cannot be returned. Don't hire Blue Whale Moving Co. The reason why I am giving them one star is for the customer service leading up to the move. The move itself, and the follow up customer service was a severe disappointment. We have never hired a professional moving company -- we have always moved ourselves, but due to a recent car accident, one of us wasn't able to move the big stuff. I did a lot of research leading up to hiring Blue Whale. I read many reviews on Next Door, Google, Yelp, Angie's List, and others. Blue Whale came highly recommended. They were hands down our first choice. I was given specific instructions via email and phone on how to best prep for the move and their movers. I am an organizer anyway, so the instructions were simple. I labeled every box, specified what items would be going to the new house and what items would be going to storage, and finally, I drew a map of our new house and a diagram of where all the furniture would go. This was somewhat time consuming and expensive, but I wanted the move to be as easy and seamless as possible. We were scheduled for a noon - 4:00 pm move on a Saturday. The customer service rep said they had one job before us but it was an easy one and could they start earlier if the first job ended before noon. I said sure. I asked for a 30 - minute call ahead. Since I did not hear from anyone I rushed over to the old house by 11:45 am to be there for the movers by noon. No movers. I waited an over an hour in an empty house until they called after 1:00 saying they were running behind, hadn't eaten lunch and that they were going to stop and eat and then come to my house. They said it would take them 45 minutes (making them close to 2 hours late). I told them I really would have appreciated a call earlier since I had been sitting at the house waiting on them. They were not very apologetic. They finally arrived around 2 pm. I waited at my old house until they arrived, which was a BIG WASTE of my time and Saturday. I went over all the boxes, which items would be going to the new house and what items would be going to storage, then showed them the map I had drawn of the new place and where all the furniture would go (per the instructions). Things couldn't have been more clear or organized. When they loaded the truck they accidentally mixed up the house and storage items and had to completely unload and reload the truck. There were only two guys and the loading and unloading to a VERY LONG TIME. They did not finish loading the truck until 5:30 pm. The whole move was supposed to be completed by 4:00 pm. I had spent the entire day at the old house waiting on them with nothing to do. Again, a huge waste of time. We stopped at the storage unit first. Again, they did not have the truck organized enough to find all the "storage" labeled items, so some of the storage boxes ended up at the new house, which my husband and I had to take to the storage unit later. We did not arrive to our new house until 6:30 pm. My husband was very frustrated and didn't understand what took so long (neither did I). He ended up helping them unload the truck, finishing the job. The map that I drew of the new place served no purpose because they just piled everything up and left it in the main living areas. I had to later sort out the boxes and put them in the appropriate rooms. They finished the job at 9:30 pm. It was absolutely the worst experience. Once I started unpacking several dishes were broken and our dining table top was scratched. We have very nice furniture and it was not handled with care. A few days after the move the service rep called to ask how the move went. I told her in detail how horrible the experience was and how disappointed we were. She offered little-to-no apology and said she would share this info with the team. There was no discount offered, no refund offered, and no follow up from an owner or manager. I even let her know I would be writing a detailed review and posting it on review sites. Again, no remedy or consolation. I am from the world of customer service and place a high value on making sure clients are happy with their experiences. I also know the best form of marketing is word of mouth and personal referrals. That said, I would never hire Blue Whale Moving Co. again and I would not recommend them to anyone I know or don't know. read more

I called Blue Whale in an emergency, as the movers I had previously booked never showed up. They said they could move me the next day. The crew called me the day of the move to say they would be early! And they were. The manager lived in my apartment complex and came over to chat and make sure everything was going well. I just had the heavy furniture to move, since I had moved everything else already. Although the time went over 2 hours by a little bit, and there were stairs involved that they were not expecting, they charged me the agreed-upon price. The crew, Patrick and LeDon, were very courteous and professional. Everything went smoothly. It was a pleasant experience, for which I am grateful, and I certainly recommend Blue Whale. read more
