I highly don't recommend! I bought the moving Groupon and the manager "Scott" scheduled the movers and they never showed up. They eventually showed up over 8 hours late. Also the movers were supposed to pack our belongings "as it states in the Groupon" and the movers showed up with no boxes OR tools. The manager Scott was very unprofessional, stated he accidentally scheduled us in the wrong book because when he was booking our move he was driving to pick up his daughter. We never received a confirmation, just a verbal time and date. If we wouldn't of called around 10am to check where they were the movers would not have come. Save your money and book with another moving company. Side note. The actual two gentlemen who ended up moving us were very nice and helpful. It was not their fault. Bought a Groupon for two hours of work. Move is simple, same complex and buildings are 50 yards a part. One bedroom under 650 square feet. For context, I moved from a complex on 3rd floor roughly 5 miles away to the one I am in now and a 2 hour Groupon got the job done within time and no issues. I called the office when I was quoted over 350 dollars extra as my move passed the 5 hour mark. Yes, 5 hours for a move that is 1br to 1br 50 yards apart. The office was 0 help. Told me the manager wasn't available and that if I did not pay the movers they'd call the police. Finally got a call from Austin who took my credit card over the phone because he didn't trust me to give the details to the movers. I paid it. I will say that both movers were extremely friendly and they did work their butts off. I don't know why it took so long. Something didn't add up and I just wanted to point this out before making the payment. I'd stay away from this place. Moving is awful. It doesn't matter how organized or minimalist you may be, it's always going to be a pain in the rear. And when you're not organized nor do you have a minimalistic bone in your body like myself, it's soul crushing. Which is why I love the entire Copper Palm crew. These guys are amazing! They show up on time, they move like the wind, they're somehow able to carry things that are easily three times their own body weight...and they're nice! They can take (and give) a joke without breaking stride. Instead of doing one big move, we needed it done in a series of steps, and CP was so helpful with strategy and implementation. The initial portion was moved into their storage warehouse for two weeks (a godsend for "staging") and then delivered to our new house after closing. When it came time for the rest of it to go, they came over early one Friday and had everything from clothes and artwork to chairs and china packed by early afternoon. They were back first thing the next morning for the actual move and we were sitting snug in a new house full of all our cr@p by evening. Were there a couple of small dings along the way? Of course! Because that's what happens when you move! But this crew of guys work hard, work carefully, work thoughtfully and work intelligently. I only spoke to Blake, the owner, when he made the sale. The damages, which were the result of poor training, high employee turnover, reported poor treatment of employees, could amount to a big dollar amount. Suffering results of poor training and poor communications can be emotionally costly. I spoke to one employee who said if the company paid me $600, would I retract my few negative reviews and I hung up the phone in response. Dealing with a company that provides extremely poor service, I simply refuse to not tell the truth about them and think it helps consumers know that the patterns of misbehavior exist. read more

I would not recommend this company. They took my credit card info on a move and wrote down the wrong credit card info. By the time they realized it was incorrect they called, emailed and text me to correct it but I was on a cruise. Once I returned I gave them my credit card info AGAIN and they charged me a totally different amount that I signed on the contract when the movers left. I called them immediately and it took a lot of back and forth for them to gain clarity in the mistake as nothing was adding up and they stated they couldn't read the amount on their own invoice. Well when you calculate the hours worked and what I was estimated it was overpriced so it should not have been that hard to re calculate. They fixed the charge and credited me back the incorrect amount. They contacted me via email to come back and change my review. My first review was 5 star since the movers were great even though they cracked my dresser drawer, smashed the new apartment door frame and cracked the new apartment outlets. They said that with no issue it would be fixed by the office when I called to report it. Of course it wasn't fixed they just cared about me fixing my review. I wouldn't recommend them. However, after they left I found that they had damaged a 3rd item. To date, they have followed-up on the claim I filed with them in-person and the one I emailed their offices about. They move things too quickly and thus carelessly. It would be one thing if they took responsibility for the damage their haste caused but since they have not, I lost respect. Let me start off with a back story: I am 21 years old and recently moved into my own apartment. I was nervous and excited and wanted everything to go smoothly. I was also moving to a third floor apartment in the middle of July, so I needed some help. I started looking around for movers to assist me with my move. After getting some outrageous quotes from other companies, Copper Palm reached out. Maddy was amazing to work with in the logistics stage of things. I provided her my list of items and received a very attractive quote that I could not turn down. She was very receptive and prompt even when changes occurred, and I felt as though there were going to be no issues whatsoever with the move. On the day of my move, everything went much better than expected. I had the pleasure of having Mike and Nick help me out with my move, and these gentlemen were not only so helpful and professional, they are absolute beasts. From pulling three medium sized boxes up three flights of stairs at once to carry huge, heavy boxes alone, they got the job done extremely quickly but also very carefully. Everything made it to the new apartment in one piece. They even went above and beyond in helping me with certain things, and I appreciated that so much. Needless to say, I had no issue handing my debit card over, and three days later, still no buyers remorse. These men braved through 95°+, three flights of stairs, and never had one complaint. I want to warn others that this company is a scam. After weeks of incorrect quotes from one of their employees Austin (who we were trying to give a break to), we finally approved their quote and we were set for our May move. Right before our move, they called us and said they had entered "peak season" and would have to significantly increase our cost in order to move our apartment. We couldn't believe it. We tried contacting their owner "Blake" to explain the situation since we didn't have any time to find another moving company, but the employees just kept saying he was "on vacation". Even though we had agreed on an amount, they just refused to move us unless we paid them more. Luckily we found a different company who helped us last minute. This is my first ever negative review of a company, but I want to warn others about this trick they play. "THIS WAS A MISTAKE" - My Roommate after the movers arrived 4.5 hours late We had purchased a living social coupon for moving services from Copper Palm and were fully expecting the same professionalism, timeliness and service quality as some of the well known movers around town. We had an arrival time between 12PM and 2PM Friday. We had reserved our freight elevators for 12-3PM to give the movers plenty of time to move the contents of our two bedroom apartment on the second floor. After contacting the office receptionist for an estimates arrival time, she said the movers would contact us. Around 2PM, we finally heard back from one of the movers. Saying they wouldn't get to our apartment until 3:30PM, three and a half hours after our initial start block. My roommate and I took this time to move as many boxes as we could by ourselves since we had already wasted two hours waiting. With nothing but larger items remaining, the movers finally arrived at 4:30PM. Now that we lost our freight elevator window at both apartment buildings, the only other point of egress was through the garage, down the ramp, to the moving truck. After about 5 minutes into the move, one of the movers asked my roommate to help and said "it would move a lot faster if you did." In our numerous experiences with movers, we've never been asked to help the movers move items. After all, that's why we hired them. After 20 to 25 minutes of progress at a snail's pace, we decided to jump in. At $130 an hour, we simply could not sit back and watch our well earned money be spent in such an inefficient way. My roommate and I moved, or helped move nearly 80% of the items remaining in our apartment. Keep in mind we had already moved all the boxes earlier as we were waiting four and a half hours for our movers to arrive. There wasn't much of a hustle we saw in our movers. Although I do give them credit for the wrapping portion of the move, other times it seemed like the movers were walking around the apartment aimlessly while my roommate and I did a lot of the dirty work. It seemed like one mover was gone for a half hour excluding the break. Not to mention a few phone calls made by the same mover on our dime. At the end of the day, this move took 4 hours. One or more of if which could have been avoided with a more timely arrival as we could have used the freight elevators as opposed using the garage/ramp setup. I did question if one of the mattresses was dragged as it has noticeable drag marks. The mover promised it was not dragged. This move, all in, cost us $470 with tip (which one of the movers made it a point to tell us they accepted tips). If you told me early Friday that it was going to cost nearly $500 for substandard movers that I would have to help, I would have cancelled instantly. To make matters even worse, after checking my credit card statement, I realized I was OVERCHARGED! I don't have much good I can say about this move, other than I'm happy it's over. Again I've never had to assist a mover i hired before. Then again, if we didn't, the job may have taken 6 hours. For reference, below is a list of items moved. I recently hired your company (via livingsocial) to help move my stuff. I had just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and was on my vacation so I asked one of my friends to meet up with your movers and guide them during the move. I came home to find literally every piece of my furniture damaged in one way or another. A chunk of the leather from my couch has a big slash in it on the top now, where the stuffing sticks out. Both my dining room Table and chairs and my bed were dinged and gashed in several different areas. A piece of my bed was destroyed when the wood piece and it's screw attaching it were ripped off. I'm very disappointed with this service. I don't normally write reviews but I feel people need to be warned. I used Copper Palm Moving with the Living Social deal as well. The guys (Oscar and Frank) were extremely courteous and were on time. I moved a 2 bedroom duplex to a 2 bedroom apartment so the move was fairly small. After I showed them around the place, I took off to the apartment to get signed in and get the keys. When I came back, they were almost done. One thing that I was a bit concerned about was that smaller items such as lamps and plants etc were all put in a large open cardboard box. It definitely makes sense for some things but I did pull a lamp out and the switch for it was bent all the way back. When I showed it to the mover, he said that he forgot to mark that it was already broken. Luckily, I was able to bend it back and it worked. But this was a bad sign. After we got to the apartment, everything was unloaded. Given that I was the only move on the truck and they went straight to my apartment, I wasn't concerned that something might go missing. When everything was done, I was asked to sign a few documents including one that states everything was delivered. I did thinking everything must be there. After they left and I started rearranging furniture, I noticed that one of my antique oak claw foot tables that I used as a night stand was missing. I called them right away and let them know. Communication was very slow with them and they didn't return my calls. I would get that the owner is out of town or I don't deal with this type of thing which I can accept but they weren't exactly working hard to fix the issue. So, by the end of the 2nd week they asked me to send pictures of the table or links to what it looks like. I was able to find a couple of pictures (background of older pictures) and some examples of the table I found on etsy. Today, I got this email: Dear Dean, We have received your recent correspondence advising that an item is missing for your property. We have reviewed your shipping documents and discussed the matter with our personnel with the following conclusion: Nightstand- The addendum you signed at the end of your move states that you had checked the trucks and that all items had been placed where you needed them to go. This serves as conformation that you received all your items at the end of your move. As a courtesy, we spoke to our personnel but have been unable to come up with anything more than what the paperwork reflects and supports. Based on the conformation of delivery by our crew, absence of any notations at the time of delivery and the lack of evidence of loss, we find that we are unable to offer any compensation. We must respectfully deny liability and ask for your understanding in this matter. I called Copper Palm 16 days before my move and was relieved that could fit my home into the schedule. We were moving locally. We scheduled one of their employees to come out to my house to give me a quote, she wanted to have him come that same day. I was not available so we scheduled the following morning. The next morning I took my kids to school, then ran around picking up and making beds (I can not have anyone in my home if it is messy!) Exactly one hour before he was to arrive the woman called to let me know that they COULD NOT move me on the dates we had discussed! But, they were open 5 days later. Well, NO THANK YOU I need to move on the days I had scheduled! And, why on earth was she calling me one hour prior to scheduled visit? The owner came out himself to do the estimate, which was impressive. They were flexible about what they packed vs what we packed, which was really, really nice for us because you never know how much you'll be able to get done ahead of time with little kids running around. And the price was comparable to the two other estimates I got. For us, the packing flexibility was the thing that helped us choose this company over the others. The movers were late, but they apologized, and we didn't have anything else going on, so once I called and made sure they were in fact coming it was no big deal. The crew could not have been a nicer group of men. Mike is a gentle, kind soul. Anthony, the crew leader cares about his job, his work, and his family. It was a real pleasure getting to know them. These are men with kids who care about their jobs. Not young guys that just want to be done as quickly as possible, which we have had with other movers in the past. We had a couple of issues during the actual move. One with a coupon I was using and another with placement of some boxes that caused our air conditioning to stop working (!), but both were resolved with a phone call or a couple of emails. Blake had originally come to my house and quoted us with three men and two trucks. Me, thinking I knew better, suggested only two men and one truck! I was wrong. Carlos and Jade were the first to arrive. After they looked over all of our things to be moved, they very honestly approached me and said it was in my best interest to have another truck and team. They were right! In this, they didn't dwell on the fact that I messed up and it could have been quicker if we had more men from the beginning. Carlos, Jade, Donald and Frank have been the best crew of movers we have experienced in all of the moving we have done. They were efficient, honest, genuine, personable, professional and enjoyable to be around. I felt like each one of them had our best interest in mind and that they were on our side. There were a few opportunities for them to extend the time and nickel and dime us, but I quickly learned that was not their motive - their priority was customer service. When we arrived to the storage unit we were faced with possibly having to get an additional storage unit. But the team saved the day and told us they could fit it all into the one storage unit we had, and that they did. Like a game of Tetris, they thrived in the challenging circumstances we were presented. They seemed to enjoy their jobs and being around each other, which made for a better experience for all of us. There was never a time they were negative or disgruntled, which was much appreciated. Their positive energy was reassuring, especially in specific situations that could have been stressful. Never was there a time when I felt uncertain, their experience and expertise shined through the entire time and gave us much confidence in their handling of our things. I could go on for pages about how wonderful these four men were to us. They were impressive to say the least. My fiancé and I really didn't have to stress or even be there! We told Carlos and Jade one time about what went where and somehow they remembered everything we said! Lastly, but certainly not least, the crew remained respectful and considerate the entire time. I used Copper Palm to move me over Labor Day weekend. The packing and moving were done in a timely manner. The guys worked hard for those 3 days. Once they left is when we noticed lots of problems. Just about every piece of wood furniture had dents or scratches, broken pictures, broken lamp, dented tool cabinet, daughter's bed is broken, refrigerator doors weren't reassembled correctly which is causing issues with the ice/water dispenser, dryer is now rattling, pillows and comforters just thrown in the garage, the list could go on and on. Luckily, I did take out extra insurance because I did anticipate accidents happening. They did send someone out to "repair" the furniture, and to look at the other items to see if he could repair anything else. Guess he is not just a wood repairman, but also a handy-man. So many things were missing hardware, and he of course said he can't fix it without the hardware. When I reached out to Copper Palm to find out the next step in getting the other things fixed, Janine (office manager for Copper Palm), said I should have told the wood repair guy, he could have looked at and fixed the other problems. The only other "problem" he might could have fixed would have been the dent in the tool cabinet, but I'm sure he would have just used a hammer to try to pop it out and would have messed up the hinges. Everything else is either broken beyond repair, or has missing parts. She told me to give her a couple of days (excluding the weekend) to look into what the next steps were to get things fixed. That was October 4th. Today is October 18th and I still have not heard back from her despite sending two emails asking for an update. Therefore, I am taking my experience with Copper Palm and posting to review sites and social media in hopes to warn others to save themselves the headache and frustration that comes with using this company. Two guys arrived promptly at 9 and worked so hard to get everything moved quickly. I was in a third floor apartment and they never complained once about having to walk the stairs.
