I seriously have had this place bookmarked for like 10yrs! Smh that I just now FINALLY have ventured in. I ordered the onion roll with corned beef and pastrami. It was seriously delicious! Ordering was easy. The menu is quite extensive, and I didn't even know where to start. But I'm glad I dropped by. I'm a die-hard Manny's fan, so it's REALLY hard to impress me with corn beef and pastrami Sammies. They did a good job! I enjoyed my food and I'll probably come back for more! The only reason it lost a star is the price point. I do understand everything now is very pricey, so I get it. But I still didn't expect $20. But it's cool, because now I know. Lol read more

A blueberry bagel that does not have anything blueberry on it. It does not look or taste like blueberries..And it has no blueberries... A sesame bagel,,that they burnt the bagel so bad..It looked like a poppy seed bagel..See the pictures.. We've been meaning to return during the warm months for dine in as they have a little sidewalk patio outside. The staff is friendly & always so kind to our kids. Our go-to is usually to stop in while out on a neighborhood walk to pick up bagels...lots of flavor choices, really fresh, so delicious! Ive had a lot of bagels and breakfast spots but this place takes the cake. The bagels were amazing! I got the New York bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and it was warm and the perfect ration. The service was EXCEPTIONAL! Our server Yana and Mariia were constantly checking in, filling our water, and just being very friendly and welcoming. The place was filled with customers but they made me feel like I was the only person there! Sandwiches were good but nothing to boast about (I've seen other reviews and the owner doesn't seem to take constructive criticism very well, and seems to challenge none perfect reviews; before I get bashed for not knowing how a bagel should taste, I'm a New Yorker, local community member, and does know a thing or two about actually making bagels). I arrived a bit late on a Saturday, like 1:05 when they close at 2:00 so the bagel choices were limited, but I bought four flavors (salt, garlic, sesame, poppy seed) and the family was impressed. And they have high standards for bagels! There is indoor seating now, with tables spaced, masks required, and staff cleaning frequently. I just popped into the deli side though. Service was helpful, prompt, and friendly. This is a CASH ONLY place, which I didn't realize, but thankfully had $12 on me. Bought 4 bagels, a tub of cream cheese, and a can of fancy cream soda. The clerk wrapped up each bagel individually, which was nice. I'll definitely come back for a meal here. Looks like they may offer outdoor seating, too, but it is stormy today, so there were no tables set out today. read more

Awesome local mom n pop place to get the best fresh made daily bagels. The dine in area is tight and it is popular so you may have to wait a minute. They have a nice old school lunch counter to sit at which seats 6. The staff is aaa great. They were a bit overwhelmed when I was there last a probably missed a busser as the two wait staff were doing everything. The good: the coffee is good though the creamers are the prepackaged plastic, though they do keep them refrigerated and bring them out fresh. The bagel chips and butter at the table is a brilliant use of days old bagels and gives you something to nibble on until you cam order. The bagels as stated were amazing. The bagel sandwiches were also great, I had the turkey before and it is quite filling and has a good amount of meat. The average: eggs and the omelet was OK, nothing to write home about. The bad: the hash browns are just smashed potatoes and a pass. Over all I have been here a couple times and will be back. Yowza this place has gotten expensive. I popped in for a few sandwiches since we were low on food and had meetings over lunch. I was running an errand in Oak Park and this was on my way home. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich (with cheese) and a roast beef sandwich and decided to toss in three onion bagels and a container of chive cream cheese. My total came to $37 which was a bit of a shock. I repeated my order back to ensure I was only being charged for what I asked for and the amount was confirmed. Based on the menu I glanced at, the sandwiches should've come to about $20, which seems fair. That puts the price of 3 bagels and cream cheese pretty high. Either that or the paper menu I referenced from the counter was pretty out of date. I haven't had a chance to try the bagels yet, but the sandwich was fine. I've had better, I've had worse. There are a few places I go out of my way to stop if I'm on the area, I just don't see this being one of them. read more

I finally visited the onion roll today and picked up a sandwich. Super friendly staff - though as it was my first visit I wasn't entirely sure how to order...I got a bit of help though. Decided to make my own creation. Generous amount of meat, not a ton of toppings - maybe I need to ask next time. The roll (onion of course) was delicious - the best part of the order. Cute storefront and a nice dining area - I'll come back to sit down another time. Seemed well liked based upon the amount of people while I was there which was a smidge late for lunch. The only drawback might be the price. While I completely understand current pricing - I thought almost $15 for a turkey sandwich was on the high end. No sides. There was a decent amount of meat - just still seemed a bit expensive. Having said that, it was a good sandwich and I especially liked the roll, so I'll be back. read more
