    Spam Musubi (2 pcs)

The chicken Katsu meal was fresh, crispy and a good size. The vegetables were cooked to a great texture and the rice was fluffy. I tried the spam musubi with hot sauce and it added a nice vinegary zing. This locations had plenty of seating and was clean. The two gender neutral bathrooms were also clean. The staff was welcoming and friendly!

We checked out this Ono Hawaiian BBQ location for the first time for dinner last night. It's located in the Crocker Village by Sac City College. The inside was very modern and on theme. There was lots of seating inside - big and small tables. We ordered the Island Fire Chicken Mini Meal, BBQ Beef Plate, BBQ Combo Plate, Grilled Chicken Keiki Meal and an order of Crab Rangoons. Everything tasted as expected, I really liked the Island Fire Chicken, it had a nice spicy flavor. The Keiki Meal included Apple Juice and Apple Sauce - which was great for the price. Staff were friendly, but they took a while to cook our food - which actually is a good thing since I feel like the meat was cooked fresh and they ensured it was cooked through all the way. We will be back soon - I want to check out the Shrimp and Fish options next! They also had salads and fresh coconuts!

Seen one and you've seen them all. Great because that have Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! LOCATION & DECOR: Plenty of parking outside this location. Shared parking with adjacent businesses, but there's always somewhere to park. Interior in reach location is modern and homey. bright setup with natural wood and rope hanging from an industrial type of ceiling. Large Windows for natural light. FOOD & DRINK: -BBQ chicken plate with extra rice no mac and cheese and the veggies is my go-to. It is the most delicious thing on a fast food menu. Made to perfection every time and don't forget the teriyaki sauce at the sauce station because those two should be married! -Spam Musubi is not one to sleep on. Get the teriyaki sauce, dip that beauty in that ocean of deliciousness and enjoy your life! PRICE: $$ - Full BBQ chicken plate with any side combination is about $13 - full BBQ beef plate with any side combination is about $13 -Spam Musubi or any of the Musubi are about $5 an order which comes with 2 -about $2 for fountain drink or Hawaiian Sun which I highly recommend. SWAG/AMENITIES: -indoor table seating -large windows for natural light -self-service sauce station -self-service fountain drink station -public restroom STAFF & EXPERIENCE: Staff is super cool in this place. I don't ever have any problems with them. If my order isn't exactly correct, they remedy the situation ASAP without question. I like that I can call ahead and make an order over the phone when I'm able to plan ahead. One of my absolute favorite fast food restaurants. Top 5 for sure!

Do not order the Grilled Chicken Breast

I came for dinner expecting delicious moist Hawaiian bbq and tasty Mac salad, sadly this visit wasn't as good as previous visits. I walk in and place is empty, the employee taking my to-go order was friendly and efficient. Plenty of seating, clean and modern atmosphere. This is a new building in Crocker district behind Sac City College. Now let's discuss my order. A simple teriyaki grilled chicken is kind of hard to mess up but this chicken was down right inedible and flavorless. Just look at the attached pic, chicken breast seemed processed and tough, texture was disgusting and so was the flavor. Do not order this, try something else. Mac salad (my fave) and freshly steamed broccoli saved the dish as I was rather hungry just getting home from work. Rice was perfectly cooked, no issues there. The kids meal was enjoyed by the little one, she loves broccoli and rice. I give this place 3 out of 5 for the issues of inedible items and inefficient to-go packing leading to leakage and a mess. PS: major liquid seems to seep out of the to-go containers, handle carefully.

Saw their BOGO promotion and was around the area so decide to grab some for lunch ! It's a stellar deal with the BOGO otherwise don't think I'll come back ! Chicken was a bit overly salty for my taste !

Ordered catering trays for party at work. Placed order inside restaurant on Friday for following Wednesday. Medium trays of Hawaiian BBQ chicken and chicken katsu plus small tray of macaroni salad for about 20 people. BBQ chicken seasoned well. Chicken katsu was crispy, but not dry. Everyone enjoyed the food. The restaurant provided several bowls of sauce to accompany the chicken dishes. Would recommend if you have large group in future.

Came here for the Cold Young Coconut Drink. Hope it's good.
    Joey B.

Came here to buy the Young CoConut Drink. The drink was good. But to pay $3.99 + tax, I can only drink it but they won't even cut the coconut in half for me so I can also eat the flesh. With that, that just ruined my experience from happy to fuckin' annoyed AF!!!! So I basically wasted money on this when I should've just gone to the Asian Market store for a 99Cents coconut drink with flesh to indulge. But paying $3.99 for this is totally not worth it without eating the fresh coconut flesh. I'll bump my rating back to 5 if I was treated with respect; and not to feel discriminated & humiliated of an experience. This is just pure lazy-ness on the whole Ona Hawaiian Team & management. I overheard the workers saying, "they would do it if manager says yeah..." but manager said no. So there's that to ruin my mood and experience. Kudos to you guys!!!!! Pissed me off and I'm already heated enough as it is to cool off and enjoy my coconut, and now I'm just ugghhhh! Beyond annoyed as I type my experience about this venue. Byeeeeeee! Felicia. Way to go above and beyond to provide an excellent customer service! Said no one ever!!!!

This place is clean and is located next to five guys in the new crocker village plaza. I went here since I had coupons from a Yelp event a few weeks ago. I did not make it into this location, but made it into the florin location. Costumer service here is good, but I gave a 3* rating due to portions. When I went to the florin location, they packed my to go box with food and that was from the Yelp event. Here, it felt like they skimp on the meat and all the food. I was a little disappointed when I opened my box and saw 6 pieces of katsu chicken and one "slab" of teriyaki chicken. Even though I'm a few minutes from here, I think I'll go to the florin location to compare if they do give bigger portions. I'll go here if I want a light meal.

This was an awesome treat! I visited the Crocker location and the ambiance was nice and clean. All of the decor looked fairly new, spacious and orderly. No complaints on the service. The workers were friendly and professional. The food was pretty good! I had the seafood platter. The portion size was large. Two people could eat off one platter. I enjoyed the shrimp, fish and chicken...although the meal was complimentary, their price point seemed reasonable. I definitely plan to return!

It's a decent place and much better than Panda Express next door. I just don't see myself coming here that often. I do see a lot of my coworkers coming here so don't let my review sway you. You either like it or you don't. Food is decent and the staff is friendly. If you want a taste of Hawaiian cuisine this is the place to be.

We walked in to a fairly small but busy restaurant thinking it would take a while for a table but to our surprise we were seated quickly. The server was quick to help us and bring us water which is always great but there is one thing that could've been done better. We were just seeing other tables that came after us , getting their food and we had nothing. We didn't really get an update as to what was taking long or where our food was which was the bummer part. They did make up and give us a 10% discount and a free orange juice which was greatly appreciated. So props for that The food wasn't the worst but also it wasn't something that made me think WOW this is good. I usually don't get gravy with my loco mocos and mostly judge off the meat flavor and this one was lacking seasoning. My wife's waffle was just good nothing crazy and the chicken did taste fresh which we most definitely enjoyed. The mango syrup that came with it though wasn't too much of our liking. It tasted mostly like a mango candy syrup mixed with hot sauce. Overall our experience was alright but not the best..... I don't know if I'll make the drive out here to get some "Hawaiian" bites as I do feel there's better spots in Sacramento. Everything is all subjective to experience and ours was just alright.

I got the poke bowl, which was fresh and tasty, though I would've liked a little more fish and a little less rice. My mom and son ordered rice plates, and the chicken katsu was massive. Seriously, each cutlet looked like two chicken breasts in one. My wife tried the sushi burrito, which was packed, but it fell apart once she unwrapped it. Not a dealbreaker, just messy because it was loaded with food. The kids shared ramen and Spam musubi, and I ended up trying both. The ramen was surprisingly phenomenal, especially the roast pork, and the Spam musubi were huge. Overall, this is the kind of spot you go to when you're really hungry and want big portions, solid Hawaiian comfort food, and good service. It worked out for us but just hope that people have the right expectations about the menu here. We ordered all 3 of the food items. They were all delicious, although a little pricey. $12 for 4 pieces of musubi seems a bit too high, considering both options only had spam. They were beautifully presented though and had great flavor. The J-Town is more unique and great if you like Japanese curry. The OG is more of your typical spam musubi flavor profile. The ube waffle was good but nothing too unique, but at least it was more fairly priced at $8. We ordered a shave ice for dessert and the consistency was perfect. The Mega POG flavor was refreshing and they don't drown your ice with syrup. Adding a scoop of ice cream for $2.50 was kinda ridiculous so we skipped that but I'd definitely like to try the matcha foam next time when I don't have to share with the kids! I do have a gripe about their ordering window - the microphone is SO loud. We were there for lunchtime on a weekday and it was pretty quiet, no need for a microphone, let alone one that loud. But anyway, they do have a great location here in Side Hustle at the Ice Blocks. The spacious outdoor patio was so nice in the shade, underneath the lights and trees. It's definitely more enticing to come when you know they have designated seating options!
