Unfortunately, the worker named Mai was extremely rude and had a very snobby attitude the entire interaction. I accidentally threw my receipt away while cleaning up the food from dining in. When I went back to the counter and explained the situation, Mai immediately gave me a hard time and acted annoyed that she had to help me. I even showed proof on my phone that I had ordered the two spam musubi. After finally handing me the food, she rudely said, "Next time, make sure to have your receipt." I responded, "Excuse me? I threw the receipt away by accident, not on purpose." Her attitude and facial expressions throughout the interaction were completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I understand everyone has bad days, but customers should not be treated rudely for an honest mistake. If you genuinely dislike working with people, maybe customer service isn't the right job for you. I usually love this place, but for some reason it just felt like it was off. Staff was super friendly and it was clean inside. I ordered the spam masubi and BBQ chicken plate. As soon as I ate the rice I was like why is this rice dry af? It felt like who ever made it didn't put enough water or it was over cooked. We checked out this Ono Hawaiian BBQ location for the first time for dinner last night. It's located in the Crocker Village by Sac City College. The inside was very modern and on theme. There was lots of seating inside - big and small tables. We ordered the Island Fire Chicken Mini Meal, BBQ Beef Plate, BBQ Combo Plate, Grilled Chicken Keiki Meal and an order of Crab Rangoons. Everything tasted as expected, I really liked the Island Fire Chicken, it had a nice spicy flavor. The Keiki Meal included Apple Juice and Apple Sauce - which was great for the price. Staff were friendly, but they took a while to cook our food - which actually is a good thing since I feel like the meat was cooked fresh and they ensured it was cooked through all the way. This is a new building in Crocker district behind Sac City College. Now let's discuss my order. A simple teriyaki grilled chicken is kind of hard to mess up but this chicken was down right inedible and flavorless. Just look at the attached pic, chicken breast seemed processed and tough, texture was disgusting and so was the flavor. Do not order this, try something else. Mac salad (my fave) and freshly steamed broccoli saved the dish as I was rather hungry just getting home from work. Rice was perfectly cooked, no issues there. The kids meal was enjoyed by the little one, she loves broccoli and rice. I give this place 3 out of 5 for the issues of inedible items and inefficient to-go packing leading to leakage and a mess. The business is located in the Crocker Village shopping center and there is plenty of shared parking spaces for everyone. I walked inside and saw a sign at the counter for online order pick-up. An employee was right there and asked for my name. My order was ready and waiting at the counter. I ordered three keiki meals and one aloha plate 2-item combo. The keiki meals I chose were chicken katsu, crispy shrimp and bbq chicken ono. I'm glad there was an option to choose between a side of rice or macaroni salad. Although the price is a bit higher than a lot of kids meals, I thought the food was delicious and worth the price point. The proteins all had a great flavor. The shrimp was perfectly battered and fried. I also need to say that the tonkatsu sauce is quite delicious. I will definitely be ordering a katsu dish during my next visit. Oh and the macaroni salad is one of the best at a fast food restaurant. I loved that the macaroni salad was flavorful. Sometimes I find that these types of salads include too much mayonnaise but it was not the case here. The only issue I found was they mixed up one of my drinks so I received an apple juice instead of water. The combo plate I ordered was Hawaiian beef and kalua pork. It comes with 3 scoops of rice and a cabbage salad. I thought it strange that you aren't able to choose macaroni salad as a side option. Came here to buy the Young CoConut Drink. The drink was good. But to pay $3.99 + tax, I can only drink it but they won't even cut the coconut in half for me so I can also eat the flesh. This place is clean and is located next to five guys in the new crocker village plaza. I went here since I had coupons from a Yelp event a few weeks ago. I did not make it into this location, but made it into the florin location. Costumer service here is good, but I gave a 3* rating due to portions. When I went to the florin location, they packed my to go box with food and that was from the Yelp event. Here, it felt like they skimp on the meat and all the food. I was a little disappointed when I opened my box and saw 6 pieces of katsu chicken and one "slab" of teriyaki chicken. Even though I'm a few minutes from here, I think I'll go to the florin location to compare if they do give bigger portions. I'll go here if I want a light meal. read more

This establishment is situated at a shopping area. So lots of parking. We went during lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. The menu was wide and lots of combinations. We opted to drink water, it was self serve. The utensils were disposable. Our order took about 10 minutes. I ordered the chicken. It was soft was still had a bite to it. Wonderfully seasoned and lots of flavor. I especially enjoyed the macaroni salad. The noodles were soft. Every bite melted in my mouth. The rice was cooked well; soft and didn't fall apart. I had a piece of my sister's rib meat and that was cooked well. Not dry at all. It was a memorable lunch. I've never been to Hawaii so this is the closest I would get to the food. We've had replicas in Wisconsin but they charge an arm and leg for a plate plus it's nearly cooked as well here. The service is wonderful. The woman who took our order was courteous and allowed us to study the menu before we ordered. The establishment was clean. So was their restroom.
