The honey spicy chicken. Wow. Quick service, the food is made to order. Quiet inside, so that's nice.

It's clean store front. Had previously a beef teriyaki bowl that was tasty. So tried again with chicken teriyaki. It's ok. A lot of rice. Chicken was ok and not as flavorful as beef. There was no veggies (broccoli) like the beef bowl had. Seating inside or take out.

    Hair in the food

Beware!! they have hair in the food and then treat you as if you're lying about it. They did give a refund only after I told them I would be posting my review. He says "I don't know if it's yours or mine" So I showed them it was a black hair and I'm a blond. Stop treating and making the customer feel like it's their fault when it's not! That's disgusting. I pay for my meals! I don't go around saying I have hair in my food for the heck of it! Do better CJ'S

Well, they've flipped it back over and parked some other stuff (salmon, tuna, seaweed salad) and voilà! Service- minimal. (cold and kinda hard) Ambiance- like a donut shop but with this specific kind of sushi. It was just about a block away from Sac City College, not that that had anything to do with any of the clientele. Everything was about $5 per item. It was a good amount of rice but like I said before, it had some stuff on top of the inverted inari. Spicy salmon, tuna, etc. The extra sauces were either in squeeze bottles or ketchup-style packets. Unagi, teriyaki, soy and sriracha sauces were there to flavor up your goods. I'd go back someday if in the area. The fish was fresh, the portions were generous, and the overall value was excellent! By the way we're 3 person . The highlight for me was the medium sashimi platter. I was expecting the usual thin slices that most Japanese restaurants serve, but the sashimi here was thick-cut, fresh, and beautifully prepared. First off, Tokyo Table is kinda hidden within a neighborhood that if you didn't know about it, you can easily pass it without knowing. There's a Mexican restaurant next door, and some other businesses nearby but otherwise it's blending into the neighborhood. Upon arriving, every table was filled both their indoor, outdoor and even bar top seating, taken! Then there was a handful of people plus others in line to put their name down on the waitlist. This only means one thing: the place is good. After waiting 40 mins we were seated. Jenny was our server, she was nice and attentive. Food came out within a reasonable time. The must try appetizer I would recommend is the peso tuna. The panko battered jalapeños were such a treat. For rolls, the Broadway was perfect (see pic). For drinks I ordered the Matcha-Tini. I appreciated the bitterness of this drink, the matcha was very present that it overpowered any alcohol presence, which made it very easy to drink LOL. Would I visit Tokyo Table again? Absolutely.

Sliced cold cucumbers in a sweet vinegary sauce served in a huge martini glass. Super refreshing on a hot day and excellent shareable appetizer. (5 stars) 2. Kid's teriyaki meal are designed for under-7 kids but could have easily fed a teen. Generous amount of moist, juicy chicken breast slices, cup of crunchy salad with Asian sesame creamy dressing, huge bowl of rice, and lots of tempura (2 shrimp, one brocolli, and a sweet potato). (5 stars) 3. Sushi Moriwase B was 10 pieces of chef-selected nigiri. Not bad - rice was well seasoned and soft, generally very fresh fish. I'm less a fan of imitation crab and was surprised to see tamago - but hey, protein is protein. (4 stars) 4. Some dishes were on the saltier however, such as the free miso soup and soba noodles - the large comb one with chicken, mushrooms, veggies, and a separate dipping sauce. Definitely recommend Akebono. I chose the chicken teriyaki and mixed tempura for my two choices, and it was accompanied with rice, salad, two pieces of California roll and miso soup. The miso soup was quite bland, with about 3 little cubes of tofu, and tasted watered down because it didn't really have any flavor. The chicken was very good, with teriyaki sauce with the perfect flavor and thickness. The salad was very good too, because of the salad dressing. I couldn't really judge the California roll because it was so thin that it broke apart. I couldn't wait for the tempura, one of my favorites, but the batter was pretty thick and kinda greasy, so it was just okay. I'm glad I finally got to try it, and will be back.
