I've become a big fan of this little downtown spot. Surprisingly very fresh and filling. Super friendly employees who are eager to help and haven't gotten my order wrong to date. Now I order online. Love all of the sauces. Only thing is it's so expensive. It's a decent sized portion and a nice light lunch but you won't have leftovers. I add a tip and it's $14 for my veggie poke bowl. But still worth it on occasion.

Soft opening in downtown tunnels on 2/14/19. They had a line before opening at 11am. Limited menu for the soft opening but same awesome flavor! Offering preset bowls with options of toppings. Will be adding create your own eventually. Bring the cilantro to this location please! I got a large bowl, and I'm not sure if it's because of the to go container but the portion seems smaller at this location than Richmond. Still very excited for my fav poke to be in walking distance for lunch!

I got the Hawaiin Ahi Bowl from this place. Menu price is $9 you get a small bowl with your choice of base (I got white rice) and some salmon, onions, sesame seeds sprinkled on top. When I say SOME, I'm not using it lightly. Very basic poke that is not worth the price you pay. I tried poke at Poke Fresh Sushi & Sashimi the day before and that was much more appealing and fulfilling, not to mention more tasty than the poke bowl at Ono Poke for roughly the same price. I'd say skip this place.

Everything we had was flavorful, delicious, and all the meat was moist! I can't wait to come back and I'm sad it took me so long to find this place! Highly recommend!! Service was helpful and friendly. The restaurant felt very clean, spacious, and modern with a lot of natural light. They brought our food out to our table and gave us napkins and utensils, so we didn't have to get up and get them ourselves. Absolutely a great dining experience! The portions are also big! My bf and I each got a Hawaiian Favorite combo and couldn't finish them. The entrees are easily two servings for me, so it's a great value! The containers the food comes in are microwavable too, so extra bonus points for easy reheating! If you do manage to finish an entree in one sitting though, you will be stuffed! It wasn't mentioned on the menu, but there's steamed/sautéed cabbage under the meat. It looked a little deceiving because I thought it was just a huge pile of meat, only to find cabbage under. Thankfully, I love cabbage and appreciated that there were veggies to balance the heaviness of all the meat. That being said, there was still a lot of meat, just not as much as it looked like at first. They also give you little containers of sauce depending on which entree you get, which really enhanced the meal. If you get bbq beef or chicken, you get a delicious, sweet, Hawaiian bbq sauce. If you get the chicken katsu, you get a sauce that resembles sweet and sour. If you get a combo that has both bbq meat and chicken katsu, you get both sauces. I poured the sauce over the rice to season the plain white rice, then poured the rest on the meat even though it didn't really need it. BBQ CHICKEN: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in small to large chunks. BBQ BEEF: Moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Comes in thin slices. CHICKEN KATSU: Moist! Fresh, crunchy breading! Tastes better with the sweet and sour-like sauce provided than on its own. KALBI SHORT RIBS: Delicious! Moist! Has fatty bits, unlike the bbq beef, which I really liked! Very similar, if not the same, flavor as the bbq beef. MACARONI SALAD: Delicious and flavorful! Tastes just like potato salad.

I was pleased with the Katsu plate and the katsu sauce was good. The bbq mixed plate was a miss. I haven't seen a short rib so thin in my life. The Teri sauce definitely helped. As for the macaroni salad, it did nothing for me...at least the food is priced decently. The service also a big F . I felt NO Aloha.

The food here is WAY overpriced. A BBQ mix from L&L in California, a more expensive state, is only $16. Here, it's $20. For basically half the portion size and quality. Food was ... not great. My katsu was cold and tasted like it wasn't fresh. Was given a small handful of BBQ chicken that looked like leftovers. And I couldn't even get a full scoop of rice! Place didn't have sriracha, which is basically a staple for Hawaiian BBQ. They only had Tabasco, which I can't imagine tasting good on this type of food at all. Definitely disappointed and will not be back.

My BMP calamansi margarita was distinct in its tanginess. Tried the veggie lumpias and brussel sprouts. The lumpias had tangy dipping sauce that might have been dominated by calamansi. More tang than savory. The brussel sprouts were standard but had a good portion. I tried to detect whether they used fish sauce but I couldn't tell. Ordered the daing na bangus (milkfish) as my entree. They gave me the whole fish and it threw me off that it was mostly deboned since I kept looking for the bones with my tongue and teeth. Fish was nice and crispy and the dipping sauce was more savory than what came with the lumpias. The garlic rice that came with the dish was smoky from that wok hay. Probably could have used a little more soy sauce for flavouring. My favourite dish was the turon dessert (fried bananas) along with the ube ice cream. The coconut sauce they used seemed more like caramel. I haven't eaten much Filipino food so I wasn't sure how authentic the dishes were. I was expecting a little more intensity in the flavours, and I don't know if it was toned down for their customers. There were around ten customers that night. The inside was beautiful and they have a two level patio that is perfect for nights like these. The service was very nice and the kitchen was faster than I expected.

Signage outside isn't obvious but once you step inside, you're transported to a little slice of paradise. Service was fantastic...the bartender (Jonathan) was very helpful guiding me towards what to try and gave me some Lei Low swag, too. The fellow seated at the bar next to me turned out to be the owner, Russell Thoede, who was very nice and we engaged in a nice chat about California tiki bars many of which he has visited. The inside looks like a slightly tiki-themed restaurant and I was a little let down by the lack of the typical tiki themed booths, decorations and bamboo/wood trim. The outside however had great ambiance, and the server was very accommodating with us moving to the sandy beach chairs. The service was great, the food came out fast and overall it was a great experience!
