The first thing that caught my eye was the size of the menu here. They had so many options to choose from at an affordable price. 10/10 do not recommend. They totally sent me someone else's order. When I called them, they said "oh well...just call uber and figure it out" with zero regard to the customer. No sorry or anything. The sad part is they the bag had my name on it. Then they did something in their system to where I couldn't get my money back. It would have been a little okay, if they hadn't sent me a bunch of food that was soggy and smelled like it had been sitting out for a while. Didn't bother me considering I was doing take out. Once making it home and trying out the food, I'm very disappointed. My shrimp in my bento box are obviously over cooked and very very dry. When we lived in Houston about 13 years ago, we used to come here. Back then they had just opened and were in a building in Memorial City (I think that's the name). We loved the place so much that we came here twice a week for about 6 months straight. But since moving I think I have been back once, maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Today we got to return. They have moved. Walking in, it is smaller (or so it seems) but with the same basic furniture and feel. We ordered, getting 4 different rolls, a miso soup and the salad that we used to get with the dressing we LOVED. I was nervous we would be let down. Numerous changes and quite a bit of time. Well, I am happy to report: it's as good as we remembered! It tastes remarkably fresh. Perfect ratio of all ingredients, including the right amount of rice. And the rice is wonderfully moist and fresh. It is now near a place we will have to return to here in Houston periodically so I look forward to coming back! read more

Yup. I almost missed SushiPop. I have been at this mall where Kroger Store is located on Wirt near Katy Freeway. But I frequently here at night prior to Covid-19 pandemic started. Just so happened I was shopping at IKEA on 9-11 Saturday. For some reason I was super hungry. I usually seek out quick bites before my weekly grocery shopping. I arrived at the parking lot to get Kroger Fuel. Oh, look! I see Sushi eh... Can't make out the rest of the sign. So I walk toward the restaurant to check out the menu. I really wanted something light but with substance. That's why I skipped boba teas and ice cream. The restaurant was fairly empty around 5-ish. But they still got some foot traffic of takeout customers. I ordered poke burrito made with tapioca wrap. Never had it before. But it was so delicious and delightful. A rare 5-star experience. Great food. Our party of 12 was easily seated. Sushi selection was amazing. Server was efficient and courteous.

So many options when your family is in the mood for different things! So happy to have soy paper options as that is not normal at some places. Ordered the bento box for the wife and really happy with the portioning. It kinda surprised us! Presentation is on point. I ordered for myself the grilled ahi tuna wrap and 15/10. Hit the spot, just enough sauce and was happy they cut it into halves. This was not on the menu last time and I hope it sticks around as it's now my favorite. Service is always fast if it's dine in or to go. Staff is always very friendly anytime I have been in. Consider supporting this local business next time you have a sushi craving. read more

Not to be confused with Cherrypop, which is what happens once in a lifetime, if you're lucky, as Talking Heads might say. Not my favorite sushi place by any stretch of the imagination. Didn't quite do it for me and had slightly higher than average prices as well. Located right along I-10, and with a lot of competition for pretty decent sushi in Houston, this is somewhere between 3 and 4, but until I find something here that I really love, I will be keeping it at 3. read more

I've been coming to SushiPop ever since they first opened many years ago, and I can't recommend them enough. Even after moving to their newer location, nothing affected their consistency. The only thing that changed was that they no longer have free soft serve (RIP). But they have great deals, excellent options, and nice staff. If you're into sushi, and don't really wanna go to a "standard" sushi joint, give them a shot! I'd recommend trying one of the wraps, it's basically a sushi burrito. I was happy to see they had lunch specials, especially the lunch special for 1 california roll, bowl of miso soup and salad for $6. Sounds like a steal! One roll of sushi at HEB or Kroger is typically $8.99. I do want to check out their other lunch special for 2 rolls for $9.99. I decided to check out this spot for lunch. I purchased a bowl with tofu and spicy tuna with 6 add ins. The extra protein cost 2 bucks so my total was almost 12 dollars. The service was average I my opinion nothing spectacular. My bowl was fresh but was missing something. The overall portion was small for the price. I felt like I needed more rice and more tuna. I like the concept of this restaurant, order your sushi at the counter and they bring it out to you. The service is pretty fast and the people there are friendly as well. The food however was so so, I got the high roller combo and thought it was so so...should have gotten a side of spicy mayo to dip the hand rolls in! We also got the japanese pasta which was not bad except that there was way too much veggies in it. oh and don't forget free Edamame for checking in on yelp!
