Absolutely a new favorite Thai place! I'm glad I heard about this place and decided on taking the drive to area to see it! I'll definitely be visiting this restaurant more often! It's located across Ilima Intermediate School and Ewa Beach Elementary School; in the small shopping plaza near Ohana Inn, L&L, and Taco Bell. And also if you're a fan of Aloha Brew Coffee Bar, it's near there. Hours are from 10:30 to 9 PM (Monday-Sunday). Take out and catering available. Luckily when we walked in, there was one table available, pretty popular at 7:30 in the evening. First off, the service was amazing! Always helpful and all the workers made sure we had what we needed! Super friendly and easy to talk to. For appetizers we ordered the Thai fried chicken and spring rolls. My boyfriend loves this chicken! It was super yummy and crispy! The spring rolls had a different type of wrapper, but still delicious. We also ordered the green curry (a must for my boyfriend) and the tom yum soup with chicken. That soup was spot on! I'd order the soup anytime! Slightly spicy, sweet, and sour! The worker said it was perfect for allergies! And who doesn't order pad Thai at a Thai restaurant? Although, it wasn't the most spectacular pad Thai I've ever had, still pretty good addition to the meal. I also recommend the Thai Iced Coffee served in a glass mason jar like cup. Plus you can also get one to go! A plus, they pack the leftovers for you. Lunch for 2: about $38 bucks. Depends on what you order. My friend and I ordered the Chicken Larb, Green Curry, Tofu Pad Thai, and 2 orders of sticky rice. We were beyond full. The portions are generous, the quality of the food is good. And the service was outstanding. Ono Thai is located in Ewa Beach. Like, ALL the way in Ewa Beach. Take Fort Weaver Road ALL the way near the end before you make a right where your GPS tells you to. Not really a place I'd go out of my way for, but definitely a good place to check out if you're in the area and craving Thai food! There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant. The lot is shared among several businesses. Each time I've been here (for lunch) I was able to find parking. I imagine peak hours can get pretty busy since a few of the establishments in that complex are restaurants. On the flip side: parking is free! The chicken larb is good and my favorite. Real hard to mess it up. Green curry is good: the veggies and meat inside come in generous portions. So it felt more like the eggplant was the star of the dish and the green curry was just the supporting act. If you like green curry and typically order green curry when you crave Thai curry, then you'll like this green curry. The pad thai here is on the sweeter side and incorporates a lot of veggies in the dish (as opposed to a lot of other places I've been to where the veggies are placed on the side of the noodles and not as sweet). I'm not a fan of the sweeter pad thai, but this one is good. Overall, I've had good experiences here. Again, not a place I would go out of my way for, but definitely a great neighborhood Thai restaurant in Ewa Beach. Their prices are also reasonable for the amount of food that you are getting. By the way, I never made reservations each time and was able to be seated for lunch service. But if you're going at peak hours, might be best to call them. Enjoy! read more

Best Thai on the island. I am totally addicted to this place. I have been 3 times already and it's great even for take out. The place itself is a small place, nothing fancy but a decent dining room if you choose to eat there. Service is fantastic and always friendly and attentive. It's clean and there's plenty of parking. No complaints at all. Now onto the best part- the food. Their pad kee maow (drunken noodles) is to die for. Best I've ever had. Perfect amount of meat, noodles and vegetables. Not too greasy. Absolutely amazing and delicious flavor with basil and spice. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. Their curried are also amazing. My favorite is the Penang. It's absolutely divine with a peanut and curry flavor in coconut milk. Great amount of veggies in there. The exotic jungle curry was also yummy. Also loved the pad thai and pad see ew, both have wonderful flavor. The portion sizes are always just right too. I brought foodie friends here and they also loved it. We had an amazing meal. Best Thai food on the west side of Oahu! I've tried them all and the others aren't bad... but this place takes the cake. Closest resemblance of the style of Pad Thai that I am used to on the east coast which is freshly prepared and always hot. The price accurately provides for the portion you get and the work put into the food. You can tell the recipe is carefully followed, being sure not to deviate from the wonderful flavor profile. We ordered the beef jerky w/sticky rice, papaya salad(Lao style) pineapple fried rice, green curry and fried chicken and some more stuff forgot what..lol it was all delicious! I called in my order of tofu PadThai. It was waiting for me when I got there. I opened it in the car. And I was slapped in the face with the aroma of burnt sauce. Pad Thai is my favorite. But I have never had It served with long beans and broccoli hiding under the noodles. My boyfriend and I come here often when we are craving Thai food. Best Thai food, I've tried on the west side! What's even better is that they are only a 3 minute drive away from my house. Even if you live a little further or don't feel like drivi, Bite Squad offers services to this restaurant. The service is great and the owner is really friendly. Usually I order their Green Curry, Pho, Pad Thai, and Ono Basil Chicken.. it's soo good! My newly favorite Thai place! We were so hungry that I forgot to take photos of the food we got. My family and I got the Tom yam, red curry, pad Thai, the clams and the fried rice. And wow all of them were sooo delicious! My lover who doesn't really like Thai food liked the food and recommended that we come back. Wow. Ok. I was looking for pho and found this place. I ended up seeing other food that sounded better once I saw the menu. The inside is lovely and I'm so glad they have muted the lighting no and wall color. I hate how so many casual restaurants have white walls with cafeteria lighting. The hostess/server was hospitable and attended to my every need and sweet. The food came out quickly and fresh and in perfect serving order. Apps first then entree. Been here countless times, the wait is always crazy, the customer service is nothing to write about, but we always call ahead to avoid the headache. We'll probably never be back Tonight I called TWICE at 4 pm to place an order for pickup at 6pm and was told that it would be done. I sent my brother to pick up the food at 6pm and they gave him the hardest time about the order, essentially blaming him for having the wrong name, number, and order details. Come to find out, they forgot to put it in. Fine, mistake made, our order should go to the top of the list now to get fulfilled right? Nah The workers made him stand outside for over an hour - it's 7:22 pm now - without any word or updates. No apologies. No urgency. In fact, they continued to fill other peoples orders during this time instead of rushing this to get done first. Tell me that this wasn't done on purpose because my brother complained about how ridiculous it was that they forgot to do such a simple task? Unfortunate that nothing will come of this, but had to report how ridiculous and rude this whole experience was. Lots of other places in Ewa and Kapolei to eat so consider all options. read more

I got takeout Pad See Ew (tofu) and Thai iced tea (which was just perfectly sweet and good strength of tea flavor) after a short visit to the beach on my way back downtown Honolulu. It was still warm despite the 45 minute traffic, but it was lacking depth of flavor. I know... rice noodles, soy based sauce, broccoli sounds super plain, but it tasted almost tangy not savory. I, like another reviewer, forgot to indicate spice level, which was another fail but I think Thai food should be spicy.
