My daughter came in with an ankle sprain, fearing a possible break. While everyone at the ER…read moretreated her well (even gave her candy, stickers and a personalized follow-up note a few days later), we were shocked at the bill we later received. We had been told at the check-in counter that our cost would be $200. According to healthcarebluebook.com, fair price for an ER visit is $651. UCHealth billed $1653. That was not including the $699 they charged for her x-ray, the $187 they charged to measure blood oxygen level, $195 they charged for strapping on a velcro splint, and $83 they charged for the splint itself. Total bill was $2817. We were there less than an hour. She basically got an x-ray, splint and a bag of ice and told it wasn't broken and we'll be paying off this bill for the next many years. Ughhhhh!!!!

I don't feel like the doctor was very experienced, he shot me in my molar instead of my wisdom tooth where the pain was. I still ended up in worse pain than when I arrived, plus I heard the staff making jokes about my situation that didn't sit well with me. I feel like I wasn't treated properly and I will not pay for this visit because I didn't get any help. I left this place worse than when I arrived. I will skip this location and just go to the main hospital from now on.

My wife visited Urgent care for a non‑emergency issue (a sore throat). The staff asked for her…read moreinsurance, and we asked if this was going to be "Urgent care" and person at the desk confirmed that as Urgent Care (because of no urgency and admit time was before 8pm) and charged her with the co-pay for urgent care (which is $35) but then a week later the claim that appeared on our account was categorized as *Emergency Care*, which resulted in $200 additional charges. We immediately contacted our insurer, who confirmed that the billing category was incorrect and that a correction was required. The insurance company is still pending the correction, and we have been asked to pay the full amount out of pocket. I will file a formal complaint with the COInsurance Commission To my opinion they do this on purpose to charge people more like Healthcare is not already expensive. **If you're treated at this clinic:** 1. Verify the billing category before signing any paperwork. 2. Ask the front desk or provider to confirm that you are there for urgent care (not emergency) which we did and didnt help 3. Keep copies of all documents (claim, statements, emails). I wanted to share this experience so you can avoid a similar billing mistake.

They were more focused on outside factors such of age, felt like race and time of day and seemed upset about it being so late. The ONLY person nice there was the lady who took him to get his X-ray and cat scans. With having a concussion my boyfriend left more upset about the way he was treated during our time there than anything. WOULD NEVER recommend advent health to anyone.

My ear was swelling up from a neglected ear piercing that I've gotten before. The front office was very impressive and clean, the counter agent was also very nice. I was called in really quick, but the only major unsatisfactory thing that that happened was the doctor was seriously telling me to remove all the infected piercings from my ear and go from there. Seriously? You do realize they were brand new piercings that weren't supposed to removed until a certain time, otherwise white puss is going to discharge and cause a bigger infection? The doctor was so irritating, it was ridiculous. She tried prescribing drugs, but that was no good. You know what was good? Me going home and finding out the best cure for my huge ear infection was pressing a boiling hot towel into my ear for 30 minutes and boom: the ear infection did go away. But hadn't I known that, my situation could've been worse. This was me thinking creatively. But as a doctor, you should know better and out of your own knowledge, even suggest me to find a solution like this. Instead, you almost caused me a worse piercing infection. I think it was Dr. Jade (I think) she was this young looking black doctor. Nice lady, not a helpful doctor. The only good thing was there was absolutely no charges for that night. I even ended up getting a friendly phone call the next day to see if I did go to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine, I kindly declined and explained my alternative situation. They were surprised that me, as a patient, came up with a too simple solution that this Dr. Herself took on herself to make it difficult. I got a candy bag with a pen and everything. The service was grand; one of the best I've ever seriously received. It's just the Dr. Half assed her job. But everything was wonderful. I even got a letter thanking me in the mail, wishing me to get better. And I did.

I was presenting a serious flare of Shingles and a staff infection on my face. I was also experiencing flare pains in my stomach and severe nerve pain in my arm, shoulder, chest and back on my right side. The doctor talked to me for about 3 minutes and then left the room while the nurse took my vitals and found my blood pressure was alarmingly high because of the high level of pain. I received nothing for the pain, no IV for fluids or even a psychical exam of my stomach, chest or back, even with no mobility in my right arm. Their response you ask? An ice pack and a prescription for Neosporin. Embarrassing, bare minimum level of care. They should be ashamed to call themselves an emergency center. Then...they had the audacity to charge me and my insurance for a full ER visit when an urgent care could've done the same thing, probably more. What is the point of going to the ER when I could've just went to the grocery store to get an ice pack and Neosporin? Unacceptable.

I have had major withdrawals from not being able to get my medicine each month. Then I left another voicemail a few days later. this past Monday I called and spoke to someone at the desk. still nothing. I called again today and the lady says I need to be seen every 6 months to follow up on these meds . No one has ever told me that. It has been 6.5 months since my last visit . All the times I've called over the past 2 weeks and I'm just now hearing this? No call back, nothing. Keep in mind this is for narcolepsy and my follow up appointments take about 2 min because they have no idea what I've been through the past 10 years with this diagnosis. they aren't trained for sleep disorders. They charge an arm and a leg to say " how's it working" I tell them "great" and then it's over. $$$$$$ out the door for absolutely no reason. Do not go here. The lack of care for the individual patient is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to go without meds because they don't do their job correctly.
