When my family first started going to RMUC we had great experiences. The last few times have been less than great - but today was just downright awful. I made a reservation/appointment for 11:30 because I thought I had a sinus infection. I showed up 10 minutes early as requested and was quickly dismissed out the door and told it would be a telehealth visit. I complied and sat in my car. The triage nurse called me just a few minutes later to go over some intake questions and said the doctor would be right in the video call. I waited over an hour before I called the clinic and asked where the doctor was. She quickly gets on and tells me "well it just sounds like a cold so just take some mucinex and call me back if it's not better in 14 days." This call with her took all of 3 minutes. Knowing my body, I went to a different urgent care to actually be seen - I have a sinus infection and the flu. The quality of care has seriously decreased. I get it - everyone is stressed out and overworked - but to simply be refused care is unacceptable. read more

Covid testing is supposed to be free but you have to call and schedule an appointment. The NP Casondra Rankin doesn't see or evaluate but charges for a two second call because you need a test. Seems like a sketchy way to make money during the pandemic. At minimum, she should tell a person so they can go elsewhere . She did nothing in a way of service. Very disappointed in medical professionals-my profession. Update: no doctor consultation is needed for covid testing . People have scheduled testing or gone to testing sites for a year for free but this place has you call to then have to have a tele health call to take the test. American healthcare is pathetic. In the span of months, both of my RMUC providers- who were top notch and the only redeeming quality of this organization- walked out on their jobs. In fact, Lakewood practice closed down completely when all of the providers staged a walkout. And no RMUC provider will refill your prescriptions when this happens. I've had to pay 3 copays for new providers simply to have my long-standing scripts refilled. Several staff members have openly expressed distaste with the upper management at RMUC. And I've spoken to the management there... oof. (Hopefully that manager is long gone by now.) Good luck trying to get your medical records transferred to your new provider at a different practice. Good luck getting anything you need from this place ever. Though there is so much more to say, RMUC doesn't deserve any more of my time, so I will leave it at that. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! My daughter has been having several medical issues and anxiety related to them...she is NOT getting the help she needs from this place and her LP. Here's a list: 1) Blood work was done two weeks ago; no results yet; the lab did not even receive the blood work until now. Four more days for results. 2) Phone calls not returned in a timely manner with results of MRIs, ultrasound, blood work, and referral for mental health. 3) They cannot keep track of when her LP talked to her last, or if she even had the blood work drawn there. read more

After being told by the receptionist that checking in on line does nothing for you other than saving you from having to enter your I go on the iPad, wE sat for over an hour. Watched others come and go and watched the staff laugh and joke around. Then a man who entered the office after me was called before me. This after being told by the same receptionist we were next multiple times. We were not next and we fu ally just gave up and walked out. They ran out after us to tell us it was now our turn. Go figure. We just kept walking. Patient CARE is not what this facility is about. Indifferent, uncaring and apathetic are just a few words to describe the care you will get if you go here for urgent care. I made a same day appointment online. Received confirmation and even text messages confirming and even a check in link. Filled out all the necessary paperwork online. Come to find out they closed the office. Pull up to a sign on the door. No one even bothered to call me to tell me. My 83 year old father went in because door was unlocked, only to get screamed at by a worker that they are closed! He was just going in to find out what was happening. Avoid this place if you can. Front desk and initial response was good, but the nurse or whoever I saw was utterly awful. She was combative, didn't listen, seemed like she was more concerned about arguing with me than trying to help. I will never return to this location. I had to come here to get a drug screen done for a new job. Since this is the closest urgent care location this place was chosen at random. I called ahead prior to my coming in to make sure I didn't need to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was very brusque like she really didn't want to be speaking with me but she eventually answered my question. So I went in right after that call and again the lady at the desk was really rude and didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all. She took my paper and said we will call you back in a few minutes. Took almost 10 mins to get me back there even though the place was dead empty. Once I got back the lady helping me do my drug screen was nice, but she told me ahe wasn't typically from that location so she was having difficulty with the computer systems and trying to type in the right information. She gave me my cup to "do my business" in but didn't give me a lid. She just said when your done bring it back out. Um...huh? Into the office area without a lid? So unsanitary! But that's what happened. So strange... Anyway, even though this place is close to my house, if I have to go to urgent care I go to OnPoint which is a bit further down the road but so much more professional and friendly! Awful experience. I called ahead and asked about coming in, the lady said that they were open for walk is and the wait time was 0-15 min. Didn't mention anything about having to do the appointment virtually from my car. So there I am, sitting in my car, after 45 minutes waiting all I get was "what's your insurance?" Text message, I text back the answer and get a another text 15 minutes later asking for the insurance again and an option to pay out of pocket to be seen. At this point I'm just done. I called this location to see if they would be able to refill my medications. They asked what meds and I told them. They said yes. So I came in. The first sign that this is a trash hole is they tell you that you need a mask but don't provide them. I literally walked to a dentist office nearby and got one from them. Back at Rocky Mountain Hell hole, I told the receptionist she should tell people over the phone that they don't provide them. She cut me off continuously and kept saying they had signs posted. Yeah, because that does a lot of good once you're inside! /eye roll Then they called me back and told me they couldn't refill my medicines because the provider wouldn't do it. I reminded them I called and checked first and they still said no. Overall, they were incompetent and unprofessional and misleading. I would NEVER go there again and I wouldn't want anyone I care about going there either. (In fact, I finally created a yelp account just to post this because I'm so annoyed) Go to On Point urgent care. The front desk personnel are extremely rude and did not greet patients properly. Their mask rule requires you to provide your own mask or they will not treat you. She did a terrible job explaining the policy, told patients that they need to leave and purchase masks at Walgreens. Unprofessional, inappropriate and low class. I have been dealing with depression for the past three years and have received mediocre care from Lisa Hawkens and her medical assistant Jennifer. That reached a all time low in treatment and patient care today. Went to get my monthly prescription which says on the bottle refills till 03/01/22 last time I check it is still 2021. I was told by my pharmacy that they can not refill the doctor has cut me off. This was with NO WARNING what so ever I called today to ask what was going on and was berated by the medical assistant Jennifer to take responsibility and it is all my fault. Maybe if she worked more then 12 hours a week I would be able to get decent care and treatment from here. It blows my mind that there was zero options besides come see them and pay money I don't have any money to spare due to COVID-19. They know that these meds come with serious withdrawal symptoms and was just told to kick rocks, hope my mental health is worth two seconds of your time. Update, after a week of withdrawals from antidepressants I get a call from my pharmacy saying they filled my prescription. This was after I was told this whole situation is my fault and it is all on my responsibility. When I asked for help to get off the drugs they got me addicted to I was told they can not help me what so ever unless I pay. That was a lie. turns out they can prescribe my antidepressants without me seeing them or paying to talk to my doctor over the phone. Now a week later they are dangling the drug in front of my face like a drug dealer trying to keep you hook on their drugs. She came out of her office and shooed me outside to the side of the building, not wearing a mask. If you are really that strict about people and covid I suggest you wear a mask yourself. So we went here on a Saturday, because we thought my boyfriend had broke his hand in a very brutaul fight. We went in here, there wasn't much of a wait. But then again we were the only people in there. I expected to be seen quicker then that. They x-rayed him and stuff, and told him his hand was broken. Gave him a splint and shoulder sling. And of course charged us for all of this. 2 days later, after the weekend. On a Monday he gets a call from this urgent care, come to find out; his hand isn't broken! I'm very glad that his hands not broken, but upset that they charged us for the splint and ect, which was like another 100 dollars +. Very upsetting, because we had to pay up front. COD. I call in the following day, to ask for a refund on the splint. Because they miss-diagnosed him. And the lady went off on me! She starting bickering at me, and was completely rude! A real mixed bag - I don't know if I will return or not, but don't have a lot of choices due to the limited number of places my health insurance (Aetna) has in network that are taking new patients. Do know that this is a facility that acts as an urgent care provider and family practice. There are separate counters for the two up front, but I don't know that there is much of a distinction made between the two behind the counter. Shortly after I arrived a woman in pain came into the waiting room. She was obviously very uncomfortable and crying. She sat in the waiting room receiving little to no attention except to get her paperwork and copay and was not seen until after me. As I walked out of the building an ambulance showed up and, as I am writing this, they are putting her into the ambulance and driving her away. Why was she left sitting in the waiting room for so long when an ambulance now has to put her on a gurney and drive her off? I had a 2:30 appointment and arrived by 1:50. I was taken back at about 2:30 and met with the Doctor by approximately 2:40. My appointment went until 3:00. The facility is a dated odd shaped place that has a cold feel to it. Nothing like any other doctor's office I have been to. I just kept thinking, "is this where I want to meet my family doctor?" The front desk was polite and helpful at the family practice counter. There is a significant amount of paperwork for first time patients, and once you fill out the redundant paperwork, they will ask you several of the same questions again in person. The in-checking nurse is rather unpleasant. I do not think he likes his job. He also announced to the waiting room what a lady ahead of us was there for - awkward. The Doctor was a kind lady who was polite, listened, and took her time with me. As part of the reason for my visit I had asked for a physical to drive with Uber when setting the appointment, but was not told until I met with the Doctor that they don't do them here. In the end, the overall experience seemed way too impersonal, and a little confusing. I don't know that I would ever be remembered here or that I would ever see the same Doctor upon subsequent visits. Maybe I'm too small-town to expect that. I would take advantage of the urgent care at this facility because of the proximity to my home, but I will likely look further for a family doctor. read more

I am getting ready to make a appointment and thought I would look at the reviews. If a new person is looking to make a appointment they would be turned off by some of the negative notes, but I have been going to the doctor *** for ten years and I have always been treated kindly by the front desk people, tho there have been times they may not be always chatty or smiley but have been kind. I am not always in the mood either. The office may not be as plushy as other offices but it is always clean and neat. The main thing I am happy that my doctor will refer me to a specialist if needed and will take the time to sit and visit and listen to my concerns.. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I have been to the Family practice twice now and I will never go back again. The incompetence of the people at this office was overwhelming. The first visit I had would be rated at 2 stars. The staff sucked but the doctor did help me out and didn't be little me. I had scheduled an appointment with this office on the prior Thursday with a MA, She had a hard time finding any information and my chart but then confirmed that I had been seen before and that there would be no issues with seeing the doctor on the next Tuesday for a 5 minute refill visit. Due to the Doctors hectic schedule. I'm thinking great,this should be easy. I show up 15 minutes early to my appointment to find that I have never been to their office and that I needed to fill out all the paper... I stop her and explain that this is a mistake. She tells me that I'm not in the system. I was annoyed and asked for my license back preparing myself to leave. She stayed calm and told me she would take care of it, and she did. They had lost my information. Big Strike on that ne. While I was waiting I overheard the receptionist say that the doctor was only in on Mondays, which made me think why the heck was I there on a Tuesday. I have to fill out more paper work about my medical history at this point. They got me in to see the doctor 40 minutes late. The nurse calls me back. The nurse sits down and asks me if I had been seen here before... I was thinking to myself: "are you kidding me?" So I explained everything to him again and he went to look for my chart, While he was gone I listen to 3 nurses gossip and not doing anything. He came back 5 minutes later and tells me he could not find my chart. he took my blood pressure then takes me to to the room. Another huge strike against this place. So I wait a few minutes and the nurse practitioner comes in and asks what the point of my visit is etc. This is the 3rd time I've had to explain why I am there. Then she asks me all of the questions for the paperwork I had to still fill out in the lobby. By this point I was Livid. It seemed like she stopped listening to me after she got my info. Suffice to say I left with out saying thank you and stormed out as soon as the appointment was over. I go to my pharmacy to pick up the med and tell the Pharmacist that; "I think I have lost ll faith in this place". She responded with "Oh I know, a lot of people have been complaining about them. So you are not the first one, They used to be a lot better but all of the good doctors left." Then she tells me that they had to ask the pharmacist what medication was prescribed to me, meaning they never found my chart.... So in Summery: I was lied to about seeing the Doctor I was late to my appointment because they lost all of my Paperwork. They lost all of my information about my prior visit They lost my chart I was at the office 1 hour longer then they said I would be. THEY LOST MY CHART!!!! HIPPA? Never ever going back here. This was a horrible experience. Unless you are in an emergency and you cant get help any other way, avoid this place at all costs. read more

My doctor is Heidi Gillespie. She is attentive and so is the black nurse. I have practically gone to this facility one a week for the past two months and need for them to just provide me with the necessary referrals. But they have not. My blood pressure is sky high. I need for them to adjust my medicine. My cholesterol is high and they need to adjust my medicine. I have had this persistent cough for three weeks now. I tested negative for covid. But because they have dropped the ball so badly in my case. I went to the Parker Adventist hospital emergency cate. I am headed to Parker Adventist care again today as my husband is a surgical pathologist and he is so sick and tired of how I have been treated at this so called urgent cate facility. They actually told me they had no time to print me my very urgent snd necessary referrals. We need to have a talk with the manager of this urgent cate franchise. They ate opening them selves for a legal situation. I am sure Dr Heidi is not tuned into what is going on. No real doctor could alway her patient to be treated so poorly. My doctor husband says he is now convinced that they simply want to just get rid of me as a patient snd client. The least Dr Heidi can do is actually to call her patient. She can get my records from Parker Adventist hospital emergency. Because the urgent cate has dropped the ball on my case so often. I am having t o go to an emergency hospital to be rightly taken cate off. Shame on you Rocky Mountain urgent care. You simply can't treat your patients so poorly read more

I waited an hour in the waiting room. The receptionist who helped me was not wearing a mask nor did she wipe the counter down. She then left and a younger lady took her place. They were definitely understaffed because she was having to take phone calls and check in/check out other patients. She took priority to the phone calls vs helping the people in front of her. Patients would be standing in line for 10 mins and she would then say "it will be a minute, go sit down" I work in retail and would never treat my customers like that. She was very rude. I then finally got into my room and they had me set up for a women's exam and not a physical. Once I explained I just needed a physical exam for my insurance they began to take vitals and blood work. The doctor checked my reflexes but never had me get undressed. She asked what medication I was on and if I needed any refills. I never once got the chance to express my concern about my health. The doctor apologized for being behind time and seem frazzled because I can hear her going room from room. But unfortunately I will not be coming back. I would not recommend. read more

I've been going to this clinic for three years now and have always been treated well. FYI if you need urgent care and don't make an appointment anywhere, you will be triaged which means that you will be taken care of in the order set by medical laws of the urgency of your condition. So if someone happens to be there ahead of you with a more critical condition you will have to wait. I am a nurse. I wish the public was more educated about going to the ER or urgent care. If you have an ear ache or the flu and someone comes in with chest pain for example you will have to wait because they might be having a heart attack. I know it is terrible you have to wait in pain sometimes at these clinics.. But they will all be the same because of Medical Triage. read more

I went here for a COVID test. Worst experience ever. The website says to call but when you call, they direct you to the website. I called back to confirm they got my "reservation " and the person who answered was suck an idiot. A provider never caller like they said and finally walked in the door to get direction on the next step and the lady threatened to call the police. I tried to explain that I wanted to get tested to see my elderly grandparents but it went down hill from there. read more

As someone else said, a real mixed bag indeed! I've been there three times, and every time I was treated very well, with very good doctors (especially one of the female doctors... can't recall her name), nurses, and staff. As far as medical TREATMENT goes, I'd say they are top notch. So why the 2 star review you ask? Because they are what's wrong with our medical system! I went in for a VERY MINOR incident (in and out in less than 15 mins) and was charged almost $600... for "surgery" (minor poke with a scalpel), "medical care" (perhaps the gauze they gave me for bleeding and the 2 motrin I got?), and "other med services" (maybe for giving me the privilege of having them treat me?). I called their billing center and spoke with a wonderful, nice lady... and was basically told that there was nothing they can do, that's "just how things are billed", and I wasn't given a specific description of what all these charges consisted of. For them to charge me that much money for such a minor treatment is what is wrong with our medical system... and is frankly highway robbery, with no recourse for me. So, this is my recourse. Medical Treatment: EXCELLENT Staff/Doctors/Nurses: EXCELLENT Billing Practices: VERY POOR The bottom line is to clarify billing with them BEFORE they treat you, so you don't get robbed like I did. It's a shame, too, as I really did like this place... but can not envision myself going back due to their crooked billing schemes. On to the next place, I guess! read more

Since that time we've been thru 4 assigned PCM's (guess they were smart and left) Well if you have TriCare you know the heartache it is to update everything. The last letter I received was stating that these are the three PCM's that we can choose from. Well 2 of them already left, so I told the desk clerk to assign us the last one. Then low and behold, they now no longer accept TriCare! WOW, no letter, no email, no phone call etc. That organization is a joke...Stay Away! read more

I've been here twice. The first time was a pretty good experience, though it probably took longer than it should of for a Sunday morning when the office was empty. That visit is the only reason they're getting 2 stars. The next time was a Tuesday morning when the office was empty. They made me wait an hour and saw everyone else in the office before me (even urgent care patients that came in after me!). I watched them turn away a man with a bad cut and tell him to drive down the street to another urgent care because they were too busy, with literally only 3 people in the waiting room. As a caring and well-educated grandmother, I do have to voice my review for the appalling care my granddaughter received here! Both her mother and her baby sister were positive for strep... my daughter asked for treatment for my older granddaughter, who was there and they refused to give her antibiotics, stating that they had to swab her throat, and send out the swab for lab testing. Of course, today, the last day of school winter break, my daughter gets a call saying my older granddaughter tested positive for strep! I know there is all this hullabaloo about unnecessary antibiotics, but my granddaughter had a fever, has a long history of strep throat, and was lethargic and listless... and could barely talk. She was right there in the office... but no... "needed to send out swab". Negligent! Worst care ever! So she will start antibiotics after suffering for days. I'm trying to get me Rx for HTN. Documented via my medical records. 1st visit did receive correct (1 time ) script. Went to 2nd visit to get My Rx w/refills. Saw another NP-Heidi. After visit noticed in was incorrect, says 50mg Lorsartan. Should be 100/25 HCTZ. Ok, Left 2vm. Only 1 callback re another Rx. I went down there last Saturday. After 10am Office staff finally came out with line of patients. Stated, having an , emergency. Ok, can I pick Up my Rx? She let me in . No script. 2weeks 2vm & 1 callback, later. Staff said , did you receive a phone call ? I said yes. Inquiring about Rx- not saying it was ready. Ok, gave incorrect script to Pharmacy. They called x2. No callback to pharmacy. I went ahead and had this incorrect Rx, filled. Have new appt w/new PCP on 4/5. I really should file a complaint read more
