I abandoned this project and just opened my garage door manually. Recently, I decided to re-address the situation. This is where ASAP comes into play. The company sent out technician Nathan. Explained the situation above to Nathan and considered just getting a new garage door opener installed. Nathan gave me pricing and options if we went the route of getting a new door opener. He also took a look at the unit and stated that the part I described is actually still being made and available. With that, he also gave me the price if I just wanted the existing opener to be repaired. After weighing out the pros and cons, I decided to have the unit repaired versus getting a new one. Nathan went to work immediately and was extremely professional and explained some of the steps he was performing. After he was finished, he also recommended some maintenance procedures to keep the entire system in tip top shape. Jesus was our technician and was at our house in under an hour from when I called. As I was opening/closing the garage door to demonstrate the noise, one of the wheels and rods popped right out! If any cars were in the garage at the time or if we had stood closer to that side of the door, damage would've been done. Jesus replaced all of the rollers and some rods, made some other adjustments and bracket changes, and changed out the sealer at the bottom of the door in under an hour!
