AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Thank goodness that I had been watching the online tracking when it showed that my parcel was delivered 14 minutes earlier and it was not here at my home. Being that I had previously experienced poor service from OnTrac, I immediately got into my car and drive down my driveway and found the parcel As the attached photo shows, the package was left along a rural road, dropped in the weeds, next to my mailbox which is out of sight of my home by a good 1000 feet, and easily seen by passing traffic. It could have been taken by anyone walking by. All because the delivery person was too lazy to drive up my driveway. The parcel was a Makita angle grinder. The major idiocy here is that the item was in a retail shelf box and fully identifiable by anyone passing by. One would assume that anyone with a marginal intellect would recognize the potential for loss which could be the result of leaving a parcel in this manner. I do not recommend ontrac. I ordered this snow suite on Amazon thinking my package would come on time with no trouble (I've never had a problem with a package until my package was delivered by OnTrac). I saw that my order hasn't moved from "order placed" and Amazon kept extending the delivery date. Amazon saw that my package never arrived so i was lucky enough to be able to get a refund. I had to wait like 8 days for my package to arrive I had myself set that it was never going to arrive and that it had been lost. The arrival date was November 17 and I got it on November 26. Also the delivery van was hella sketch, it was just this white van and they had saw that my dad left the house so they stopped to talk to him asking if anyone was home instead of leaving it on the front step. Weird ass. Now seeing the reviews I would have 100% canceled the order. It woulda have me from the stress this damn package was giving me, absolutely unbelievable. No way to track the order and their website was rinky-dink. You call customer service and you have wait times in excess of 25 minutes. I ordered y item 15 days before needed and the day before these clowns had no idea where it was, though their website said "has shipped." I would have been better off having it strapped to the back of a donkey and having it brought to my home. Hope they do their clients a favor and go out of business with the quickness. The most disrespectful Delivery Drivers I have ever seen. Packages that come from Ontrac are constantly damaged. Drivers pull into residential driveways (Which by law they are not supposed to) Delivery is always accompanied by a throw of the package at the front door. They LITERALLY throw or toss the packages at the door from well over 6 feet away. I really have no idea how this company is even in business. These damaged packages are adding up in value. BE CAUTIOUS OF FILING A DRIVER COMPLAINT WITH THIS COMPANY! Over the last year, OnTrac has delivered several boxes of broken merchandise to my home, and one package (an $80 order) was delivered to the wrong address and never recovered. Fortunately, the companies I've ordered from have replaced the damaged and/or lost merchandise. These deliveries have all been made by the same couple, either together or delivering solo, in what I assume is their private vehicle. Today, after the male passenger handed my package directly to me in my driveway, the female delivery driver backed directly into my landscaping. She put it into drive as if to leave, until I hollered! When the male passenger then exited the vehicle he asked, "What did we hit?". Well......a tree! She must not have even looked before backing up! A mature crape myrtle tree was damaged (broken limbs, bark damaged on the trunk), two mature shrubs were damaged (crushed by a tire, and two of my landscape lights were broken. OnTrak corporate was of very little help, but they "forwarded" and "expedited" my driver complaint to the Sacramento office, advising that I'd receive a call from the local supervisor. It's been four hours, I'm not holding my breath. When I called a couple of months ago about a missing package, there was never a return phone call, and I was told that I should go ahead and advise the company I'd ordered from because my package would not be found or delivered to me. To top it off, the delivery notification for today's package says it was left on my front porch, rather than noting that it was handed directly to me in my own driveway. It's very common for their delivery notifications to state the wrong location, sending my husband and I on a treasure hunt to locate them. I order online dozens of times most months, and UPS, FedEx, USPS, and even AmazonPrime have no problems delivering my packages safely, and in one piece, without doing property damage in the process. UPDATE: Use EXTREME CAUTION in filing a complaint against a driver with this company!! A representative from the Sacramento office did contact me, but in the process of handling my claim for damages, MY PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER WAS GIVEN TO THE DRIVER I'D FILED THE COMPLAINT AGAINST! This resulted in a very unpleasant phone conversation! I am now being assured that someone will still take care of the damage to my property, and that this particular driver/driver team will no longer deliver to my home. I've encountered the same issues with OnTrac both with work shipments from vendors to customers and personal shipments from Amazon; their tracking systems are whack, their customer service is a joke and they only hire drivers who were too under-qualified to work at AM/PM and probably steal the packages themselves. They aren't good at delivering things, and that's kind of an important part of being a delivery service. They will ignore any special instructions you post for them (they likely can't read them anyways) and practically leave your packages on the sidewalk in order to save a few steps. THE GOOD NEWS: as Steve M. mentioned, you can email Amazon and request that none of your future orders be shipped via OnTrac. I did and they responded within an hour. Unprofessional delivery staff! I have had several deliveries from On-Trac and their staff look like random people off the street were given an On-Trac shirt and told to deliver a package. The last guy had on gym basketball shorts and sneakers. They never greet me or even make eye contact. They just walk in and hand you the electronic device to sign. They don't even have a pen or stylus to sign the device with. After I signed, he walked away while I was talking to him. Never acknowledged me or anything. Plus, the deliveries are never on time. I got fed up since our satellite office has no choice but use them. I called their customer service center with my feedback. It turns out that most of their delivery folks are outsourced to a third party vendor so they can't really do anything directly other than inform the vendor of the complaints. LAME! read more

Hmmm. Someone delivered a package to my door 07/09/2016. Unfortunately, it's not for me! I have no idea when it was dropped off. So...I called the 800 number at 3:15 pm to report a delivery error and have them pick it up and take it where it belongs. After being on hold forever....I finally hung up and sent them an email with info, tracking number, etc. It is now almost 24 hours later. No call or (real) email has been received. (only an automated acknowledgement email, which was sent HOURS after I emailed their company! And, the automated msg didn't even include the original message I sent!) I tried to call again, and guess what, THEY ARE CLOSED! OnTrac, this business is going to boom in the next decade, IMHO, you better wise up if you want to compete in this arena. You are making rookie mistakes! ~~~This package's label states "Signature Required". When the package was delivered to my door, the driver didn't ring the doorbell, or knock. That would have solved the problem right then and there, but noooo.... Also, even if it's a case where they don't need a signature...be sure to ring the doorbell...there is SO MUCH theft of packages nowadays that that is the safest procedure to use! ~~~This package's tracking information states it's a 5 lb pkg. The label states 4 lbs. The online tracking information states it was delivered and signed for. Obviously...there is a major disconnect somewhere! ~~~When someone calls your 800-number, have an option to speak to the Operator!!!! If you press -0-, the automated voicemail hell just reports an error. Unfortunately, there was no option to choose to report an exception. I chose "Choose a pickup" as that was closest to what needed to be done, but NO ONE came on the line...(see above) ~~~READ YOUR DAMN EMAIL IN A TIMELY FASHION!!! ~~~Get an Answering Service for after hours!! If you want to compete with the big boys...you need to be ACCESSIBLE! ~~~Place a special, prominent link on your website to report problems, exceptions, changes. That is a no-brainer, IMO. This company is awful, most specifically here in Sacramento. I pay extra to use any other delivery companies (UPS, FedEX, USPS, carrier pigeons, etc) just to avoid using OnTrac at all costs. Sometimes (looking at you Amazon) companies don't show what delivery company is being used and I get stuck using OnTrac. EVERY TIME they are supposed to deliver to me, they don't. EVERY TIME I get a notification that shows they attempted delivery, and delivery was not possible. Different excuses every time, one being "Business Closed".... I do not live in a business. The other excuse, is there was no one home. Every time they have attempted delivery, I have been home, I WORK FROM HOME. Text message updates come through on my phone, and show "Delivery Attempted: Nobody was available to receive your Amazon package". Today I looked down at my phone, went outside and looked, and no OnTrac truck in sight. I even post a sign, inside the glass, RIGHT NEXT TO THE BUZZER asking for them to ring my buzzer with my name and apartment number (see photos, name and apartment number removed). Then, you have to call in, and speak with one of their agents, who couldn't care less than the delivery drivers do. I explain the situation, and they say "Well, the driver was there". I explain I've been home, and they continue with a long speech about why it can't be delivered the same day, but another attempt will be made in the future. Explain I've paid extra for quicker shipping, they explain they tried to deliver it.....You'll have to go pick up the item at the location, before they send it back to wherever it shipped from. Well, with their 1 star reviews, I can tell I'm not the only one who has had a horrible experience with this company! I ordered a large trampoline online.. I could've picked it up at our local store, but it comes in 2 boxes which weigh a total of 300lbs.. I only weigh a little over 100lbs, so I knew there was no way I could carry it so I decided to pay a little more to have it shipped.. BAD DECISION! We were watching for my package, because it was already a day later than they had told me.. My babysitter said she had seen a large package being delivered to the neighbors, they're an elderly couple.. I ran over to peek at the package and of course it was mine! We have had more than one bad experiences with this company. This last time was especially bad. They completely lost 2 orders of critical medical supplies for my disabled daughter. The supplies were supposed to have been fast-tracked but instead, after over a week, we found out that they had completely lost them and had no way to track them either. They could not have been stolen off the porch. Because of Covid, we are always home. We also live on a small, dead-end lane in the country with no thru traffic at all.
