I found Ooolala Toffee through a Periscope group and decided to make a purchase. My hubby was in need of 10 gifts for his holiday office party but didn't want to do the usual gift cards. When I stumbled upon the discussion of Ooolala Toffee and the Periscope group host verified that the Toffee was excellent, I visited the online store and reviewed the options. There were several to choose from and I was even allowed to specify delivery dates in the order. This ensured that I would receive the Toffee in time for hubby's office party. There were several payment options which is 'golden' for the marketplace consumer. I made the purchase and was contacted immediately by the biz owner, Stephenee. She thanked me for my patronage and verified the "need by" date. My order was personally delivered because the owner has family that lives very close to me. I was able to meet her in person as she presented my boxes of festively wrapped toffee. Did I mention she added a sample for me to taste? Fantastic business and delicious toffee.

A box of awesomeness. Seriously!! Run don't walk to your computer to get some. Now!!!!

The butter almond toffee bar is one of the best desserts I've ever had - gooey, sweet, just chewy enough and so flavorful!

The shaved ice was incredibly light and fluffy, and the combination of fresh blueberries, yogurt, and granola made it refreshing without being overly sweet. The Hojicha Bingsoo was a nice contrast. The roasted tea flavor paired really well with the sweet red bean and crispy puffed rice, making it a great choice if you enjoy deeper, earthy flavors. That said, if I had to pick just one, I'd still go with the Matcha Bingsoo - it remains my favorite here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the café was clean and inviting. If you're craving bingsoo, Noon Korean Bingsoo is the place to go. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

I usually go to Oakobing in Ktown, but I'm so happy to have a place this good much closer to home. My husband and I recently stopped by for the injeolmi bingsoo, and it absolutely blew my mind. It came topped with red beans, a rich peanut butter-like paste (I'm not exactly sure what it was, but it was delicious), a generous dusting of injeolmi powder, and condensed milk on the side to drizzle over everything. As you dig into the fluffy shaved ice, you're rewarded with surprise chunks of chewy mochi hidden throughout, and I believe there were even more red beans waiting at the bottom. Every bite was packed with flavor and texture. It was so good that I'm craving another bowl just thinking about it. *Drools* I'm not sure how busy it gets during the day since we've only visited after dinner, but we've always found plenty of parking. It's the perfect dessert spot to cool off on a hot summer evening, and definitely one I'd recommend if you're in the area.

The homemade bread with tomato butter was incredible, the salads are absolutely enormous and filled with the freshest in-season produce. Ended up getting the bread, charred cabbage, and the duck with a mole sauce. The bread comes with Tomat butter (not tomato butter) and the butter was decent. The bread felt very light with a charred crust. Interesting flavor that I can't pinpoint but the fluffiness made it worthwhile. The charred cabbage was a mixture of cabbage and other veges including shishito peppers and broccolini. Comes with some slight kumquat/loquat combo and nuts. Not sure I liked the charred flavor and couldn't done without the fruit and it just didn't really fit together. The duck comes with breast which had its fat rendered well but the mole wasn't really flavorful. It comes with a duck roulade of sorts and this was a letdown. Honestly not sure what the filling should've tasted like but it was odd. In the end of the meal, service was semi-non-existent. The server was swamped and nothing on him but it felt understaffed for the amount of tables there. In the end, Tomat is ok. I can see myself coming for a happy hour but I dunno if I wanna try again with dinner service.

Laura and Carol were especially warm, cheerful, and attentive, which made the experience even better. We ordered the chilaquiles and the breakfast sandwich, and both were fantastic. The chilaquiles were fresh and full of flavor with crispy tortilla chips topped with a rich green sauce, egg, cheese, and red onion. The breakfast sandwich was a generous portion on a warm brioche bun with thick bacon, egg, chipotle sauce, and fresh greens. We also tried the churros, which were clearly made fresh to order. They were not overly sweet, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The horchata coffee was absolutely divine and something I would come back just for. Everything here is made fresh, and you can taste the difference. The outdoor seating area with music created such a joyful, relaxing atmosphere and made the whole morning feel special. We understand places get busy with little staff but the cashier/barista yelled at both my boyfriend and her co worker. When I ordered there was four seperate customers behind me which we all ordered similar items as me. We thought she called our order first which was a misunderstanding on our part the barista then yelled at her co worker saying "it's not his" "i said it's not his" then when my boyfriend backs up she yells "it's not yours!" It was a simple mistake but did not mean she could yell at her co worker and a paying customer. Like I said we understand first hand being understaffed since my boyfriend and I work in the hospitality/food business. But the barista was just wiping the counter while she had 4 drinks without lids then it took her even longer to take our order plus 2 other customers orders came out when we all ordered similar items (just beverages.)

It comes with a free dipping sauce. Mine came relatively soon after. It was crispy on the outside. A part of me felt like my churro was a little undercooked??? But the freshness and hotness was enough for me to overlook and I didn't get a stomachache or anything so I think it was fine lol I saw there was berries and cream option.
