Not sure I liked the charred flavor and couldn't done without the fruit and it just didn't really fit together. The duck comes with breast which had its fat rendered well but the mole wasn't really flavorful. It comes with a duck roulade of sorts and this was a letdown. Honestly not sure what the filling should've tasted like but it was odd. In the end of the meal, service was semi-non-existent. The server was swamped and nothing on him but it felt understaffed for the amount of tables there. In the end, Tomat is ok. The breakfast sandwich was a generous portion on a warm brioche bun with thick bacon, egg, chipotle sauce, and fresh greens. We also tried the churros, which were clearly made fresh to order. They were not overly sweet, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The horchata coffee was absolutely divine and something I would come back just for. When I ordered there was four seperate customers behind me which we all ordered similar items as me. We thought she called our order first which was a misunderstanding on our part the barista then yelled at her co worker saying "it's not his" "i said it's not his" then when my boyfriend backs up she yells "it's not yours!" It was a simple mistake but did not mean she could yell at her co worker and a paying customer. Like I said we understand first hand being understaffed since my boyfriend and I work in the hospitality/food business. But the barista was just wiping the counter while she had 4 drinks without lids then it took her even longer to take our order plus 2 other customers orders came out when we all ordered similar items (just beverages.)

Big sugar cookie fanatic here, I can say that they have one of my favorites that I've tried so far. That's the one with frosting and sprinkles on it. Nice thick cookies, not hard, medium soft. I'd say they're getting more and more creative with flavor mix recently, catching up with all the trends and so far none has failed! My current top list now is their Jasmine Coconut which is also prolly one of the most simple yet also simply delicious with great balance of tea flavor and obviously their signature coconut jelly. All time favorite is doubtlessly their matcha! Most of the time I have them for to go, but they do have spaces to sit in and hang out if you prefer. The ambiance like that of a small outdoor cafe. Tbe service is top notch. You wait 3-6 minute and have a churro that those at Disney would die for and can only dream of. We bought the sack three medium with lechera, but then had to come back for the bit size ones with fruit too. The family running this place is incredible and they're really putting their heart and soul into this place! We're all so lucky! The Churro Joint is the joint for churros! If you like churros, this is the place!
