Spicy Pork Triangle and Spicy Ahi Tuna Triangle
    Mariam J.

We ordered the spicy pork triangle and spicy tuna triangle and it was delicious. The pork was well seasoned and perfectly cooked as was the spicy tuna. No complaints other than it was a little bit pricey for the size (~$5 each). Delicious spot but for the price I probably will not return

Stopped by this spot as we know it's always good food at a good price. This time didn't disappoint. We ordered a small plate with short ribs, and two 3-item plates. We also got two triangles. Everything was tasty, good portions, and quick service. Can't go wrong here!

My coworkers and I ordered from here via DoorDash for the first time and the food was amazing! The delivery was relatively quick. You get a looooot of food, I think my 3 item plate was around $20. I will definitely order from them again!

Stopped in again to try their Grilled Salmon, Buldak Spicy Chicken, and Spicy Pork triangles. These did not disappoint. The chicken and pork were definitely spicy and had a lingering kick. Grilled salmon had teriyaki sauce drizzled lightly inside the triangle pocket.

We should start with the fact that the onigiri here are pretty good. Of the three that I had, the pork one was excellent, the grilled salmon one was pretty good, and the kimchi one left something to be desired. This place is really geared towards takeout orders. They have a little shelf that you can eat at, but it is not at a very comfortable height, and there is no place to sit. Would it kill them to put in a couple of chairs? So if you're taking it to go I would recommend it, but if you are looking to eat in, not so much.

Great place for a quick and casual meal. You order at a kiosk and we got the 3 protein plate with Ahi Tuna, Buldak Chicken (the favorite), and Grilled Salmon (a tad dry). Overall solid.

    Short rib and teriyaki chicken

Was in the area shopping and saw this spot on google maps. What brought me where was the basic menu and the decent price point for each onigiri. My friend and I each had the short rib and chicken teriyaki onigiri. Chicken teriyaki onigiri: chicken had a good grill flavor. It was mildly drizzled with teriyaki sauce. It was easy to eat. Not too messy. Chicken was a tad dry but was ok. Short rib onirigi: Flavor was ok. Meat was medium tenderness. It wasn't a wow, but I would get it again. Minimal service, which is ok. Order at the kiosk. Food comes in a take out box.

These sushi triangles are delicious. It's great if you want something quick while your shopping around Rockridge. If you buy 3 or more you get free edamame. You walk in and order from a kiosk, then a few minutes later, your order is ready. All orders are served in a to-go box. We stayed and ate our meal on the bar near the window. They have a small bar w/ tap water, utensils, condiments and a variety of hot sauces. I ordered the salmon teriyaki, spicy shrimp and tofu. All were very tasty. Except the salmon was a bit overcooked and dry. They tofu didn't have much flavor, but the spicy shrimp was my favorite. Would definitely come back again. They also have a location on Solano Ave in Albany.

Fast, fresh and delicious. The short in triangle was excellent. The meat was in small flavorful bits and seasoned with a great teriyaki sauce. Chicken teriyaki was very good as well. Strips of firm chicken with an excellent teriyaki sauce. Plenty of seating. Parking is always a challenge in this area. Overall, a winner!!

Love Oori Triangles! Their rice triangles are always delicious, though a bit pricey and I might be a messy eater but they fall apart just a little bit when eating. I prefer the rice plates over the rice triangles - you get so much more and it tastes just as good. My favorite is the short rib but the grilled salmon is a good choice too.

I've had their Spicy Hog, steak with mushroom, a few Cubans, but the one that I always come back to is "The Balls" sandwich. First off, this sandwich is massive, so be sure that you come here on an empty stomach. These beef meatballs are seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. The balls are covered in their red sauce with provolone and Grana Padano, which gives it that nutty and salty flavor that pairs extremely well with the meatballs and baguette. All the juices and cheese just get soaked up to perfection. The baguette bread they use is supplied by La Farine, which is just a few meters away from each other. Just putting out there that La Farine is hands down one of the best bakeries in Oakland, so it makes sense that this sandwich would be so dang good. I'll be honest that I'm not a big fan of the chips or those chips in general and could be fine with just the sandwich. If you are going to have any sandwich to eat here first, I would highly recommend you try "The Balls" because I promise you will not be disappointed. I will always say that the dozen or so times I've been here, the staff are always so friendly, and the atmosphere is very down to earth. The price of their sandwiches is in the $20 range, but the quality and portion make it totally worth it.

The breakfast hash is my favorite, the veggies are cooked well and seasoned nicely, and the cilantro ginger sauce takes everything to another level. Their Thai curry is also delicious, perfect balance of ingredients i.e. generous portions of protein and veggies and not too much rice. Same for their sesame jasmine bowl (pictured). It's interesting that they offer a wide variety of bowls but they all *taste* like Humbowl, i.e. the ingredients all work really well together. And I never feel sick or heavy after eating their meals. Humbowl is excellent with catering and attentive to food allergy requests, they're an excellent option for feeding a crowd with varied dietary needs. They had plenty of interesting options to choose from but we were craving for thai curry so went with that. The ambiance was welcoming. The food came out pretty quickly too. First off, the portion size was good for two people. The quantity was good. The thai curry itself was a bit too watery for my liking. However, the quinoa, rice, veggies and tofu were cooked to perfection! I liked the basil addition, it definitely elevated the flavor overall! I wished it came with some hot sauce. I only realized later that they have in house specially prepared hot sauce after my meal was complete. If you are on the lookout for something tasty and healthy, head this way!

I reserved for three to sit in the main dining room. The next day we arrived right on time for our reservation and still had to wait about 10-15 minutes and was asked if we could sit outside and then we were seated upstairs. I was a little bummed we didn't get to sit in the lower dining room like I booked on our reservations. It was still cute upstairs and good company always makes brunch even better. The servers were quick and helpful. I wanted something light so I just ordered the chicken and waffle bites. My husband got French toast and a side of chicken and my friend got a main entrée of a sandwich with some fries and a little soup. All of the food that came out looked amazing even at other people's tables. For brunch, the price is a little pricey, but I would like to come back to try other entrées when I'm more hungry. We asked one of our servers if he had a light as I brought a little candle to celebrate my friend's birthday, and as he lit it, he also decided to join in with us as we sang happy birthday, which I thought was really sweet. He did not have to do. He even got other tables around us to sing happy birthday as well. It felt like a special moment for my friend, which was a nice surprise. I did really appreciate this part and look forward to coming back.

We arrived shortly after 10am and our wait was just under 30 minutes. The restaurant is cozy (on the smaller side) but has an interesting layout. There's seating both indoors, outside, and upstairs. You may have to squeeze by a few tables to make your way to the restroom. Customer service was friendly and attentive. Pricing for food & drinks was a bit high. Our total for 2 entrees and 2 drinks was $60 before tip. We ordered two drinks (orange juice and an iced mocha) which were provided promptly. The orange juice was a little too sour and my mom had to add some sugar to improve the taste. The iced mocha was good, not too sweet. One thing to note the wait for our food took much longer than expected, and it may have been due to how busy it was. My mom opted to order the salmon yuzu benedict and I got an egg plate (scrambled eggs) with a side green salad. My mom mentioned the potatoes lacking salt but she enjoyed the salmon benedict. I thought the scrambled eggs were good, but slightly bland & needed salt and pepper. The side green salad was alright, but the vinaigrette had a bitter aftertaste. Overall, the meal was pretty good and timing wasn't the best. I'd likely return for brunch on a non-peak day. Definitely recommend joining the yelp waitlist prior to arriving if you can!

At the 22 min mark, the two groups of two behind me got their food before I did, so I went up to the worker behind the bar and asked if my order was ready and I was told mine would be next. All in all- took 32 mins. So again, if you have somewhere to be- order ahead! Food was good. Could definitely tell it was made fresh to order - not only because it took some time but because my friend cauliflower came out PIPING hot. Lots of oil drippings, so if that isn't your thing, may not be for you, but I will say that it was my fav bite. This was a good restaurant- I would say 4 stars for the food alone. But you pay for what you get and the quality is better than that of fast food.
