I used to love this restaurant however, it's no longer on our go to list! Sam the bartender is absolutely fantastic but when she's not there, you might as well go somewhere else! She is the only one who knows how to provide good service and make good drinks! As a matter of fact, the two other females that were there on days that Sam were off were actually arguing and snapping at each other behind the bar. The owner does nothing but hang out on the patio and drink. He used to interact with the customers and make sure everything was great but the last three times we've been there it has been awful. Drinks are not good, food is wrong and servers are crabby!! Each time we spent over $100 and left feeling like we had to beg for the correct food and properly made drinks. Being a Chicagoan, I was hoping this was legit Greek food, but not even close. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was old and cold the dressing was Meh! Then I ordered the Calamari grilled. When it arrived it was doused in oil and barely any seasoning, plus there were like 5 pieces and tiny pieces. I even asked the waitress, "Is this a half portion?".. Pointing at the nothingness of the plate. She responded, No! It's full!... Hands down the best place to get a glass of whiskey in Ohio. From cheap Canadian whiskey to rare bourbon you wont find in Ohio anywhere but here, all the way to 50yr old scotch. Aside from that the gyros are delicious and the burgers are huge. read more

First visit with my daughter on 3/10/18. Daughter got Kopanisti Linguine and I had a Shrimp Linguine and the Chicken lemon soup. All was delicious, served fresh, hot and tasty. Restaurant atmosphere and ambiance is very comfortable. The food reminded me of delicious home cooking. We loved it and will definitely be back. The bar is very well stocked. A delicious meal with great service while passing through Delaware with friends. We wanted to try someplace local where we could take the kids. Opa was perfect. Great, casual atmosphere. Friendly, courteous staff. Clean facilities. The menu had an excellent variety of greek options with some American classics for picky kids...all of which seemed to be freshly prepared in house. The pitas were soft and warm, the tzatziki light and creamy, and garlic dressing delicious! We ordered gyros with fresh cut fries, greek salad with falafel and a kids' meal of pasta that came with crispy, golden fried REAL chicken strips. The portions were generous and very reasonable priced. The waitress was attentive and the owner made conversation with the kids and followed up to ask if they could have "done anything better." All this being said, we were on a schedule and the entire visit lasted longer than we may have anticipated. BUT it was well worth it. I'm happy to wait for a meal that is made of real ingredients and actually prepared, not just warmed up. Come for the greek food, stay for the BOURBON! I've been to Opa several times and have had a great experience every time. Turns out that they have probably the biggest bourbon bar in central Ohio! It's fun talking to Dylan (bartender) and Genti (owner) about the bourbons, they are very passionate about it! They have your quality easy to find bourbons, and they also have a huge list of rare bourbons that are impossible to find. I have brought a few of my friends to Opa and they all comment on how awesome Genti is and how passionate he is about the huge selection of bourbon. This was our first visit and it was okay. They had a fish special when we went so we gave it a try. The fish came out in the shape of a triangle which made us wonder if it was a pre-processed packaged fish. It didn't have any flavor to it at all. We went here for lunch and received a friendly welcome from the minute we walked in the door! Genti, the owner, is very funny and hospitable. Being vegetarian, we asked what was good on the menu for me and he immediately pointed to a burger called the "Impossible" burger which is 100% vegetarian beet burger. I ordered that and enjoyed it, although it was thinner than I expected and a bit more imitation-meaty than I usually like which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. The rest of my party got gyros and we all ordered falafel to share. The tzatziki sauce and hummus were delicious! They all really liked their dishes and I thought the falafel was perfectly done - crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
