Visited Open Road Acura for an inquiry into leasing the 2025 Acura Integra. Initially we were going to go with a base model for pricing. After negotiations and mostly proactive work from their end, Deena, David Marcus, and team were excellent and very transparent in the process. You couldn't ask for a better dealership experience and getting straight to the point without the bullsheet that dealers are known for. David was amazing and completely transparent which is refreshing from the dealership experience. There was some haggling for negotiations but minimal in comparison to the typical process. He even elevated the experience by getting us a very good deal on the 2025 Acura Integra A Spec with a beautiful Performance Red Pearl exterior and ebony interior vs. the initial choice we were looking at of a Base model. We were trying to sell my mom in a better car in terms of reliability, safety, and options than the risks that come with a pre-owned luxury convertible...mission completed! This is the team you want a dealership experience with. Dealership...cut the bullsheet out! Business can still be had from your ends with a good dealership experience from the customer end. I took my TLX in for a routine oil change. After a few days I noticed some strange noises when the car is idling. I decided to check the oil level and it was grossly overfilled. I have a 2.4 liter engine and they seem to have filled it with the amount needed for a 3.5 liter. The oil level was at least an inch and a half over the max fill level. I usually do my own oil changes at home because I don't trust the grease monkeys even at dealerships. This confirmed to me again why I should keep doing them myself. This had happened to me on my other RDX at a different dealer. I hope this is not a way for them to have the engine fail and have us bring the car back for more work. Over filled oil can be catastrophic to these very sensitive engines. If this was just a mistake, how can it be. They have pre sized containers for the different engine sizes. How could a tech pickup a container for a V6 engine for my 4cyl?!?!? What a bonehead move. I will be doing my oil changes at home going forward. Can't trust anyone anymore. If this was done on purpose looking for future service in my car, this is evil. So Acura makes very reliable non turbo engines so they don't have enough work. So they try to sabotage to get more work. SMH. read more

I have waited weeks for answers I had to follow up with them or nothing would have been done at all they just want to take your money and run with zero customer service involved. They Did reach out to me after 10pm on a Friday night after a 50+ hour work week late at night after hours as if they didn't have weeks to reach out at normal business hours, that's even more disrespectful. DO yourself a favor and go anywhere else. They are not even Accredited with the BBB, Shocker!! Where do I begin... I purchased a brand new Acura RDX 2020 from this location. When I purchased this car, I spoke to a dealer named David who said that if anything was wrong with the car to let him know. He gave me his cellphone number and office number. I purchased the car around nighttime. When I got home, I noticed that my inner door panel was missing a part. With this in mind, I tried calling the dealer that I spoke to the next day regarding this issue. He told me that he would order the inner part and call me back via text, since he wasn't answering my calls. After that one text message, it was impossible to reach this person for an entire month. I ended up calling the dealership directly and told them about the missing inner panel. They told me that there was never a part ordered and that I had to come in. I go to the dealership. While I'm on line to talk to the parts/service desk, this same dealer has the audacity to ask me to give him a good review. In my opinion this guy doesn't deserve a review and shouldn't even have come up to me, since I was furious that I wasn't getting a response from him. I go to the parts and service desk and order my inner panel for my left side door. At first they were combatting me that I took the panel off my own door, but I showed him the date I purchased this car and told him I didn't even know how to do that. The guy ends up ordering the panel. I go to have my car serviced for the inner panel, but during this visit the mechanic breaks my left side door against a metal column that was next to the door. They told me that this happened by accident, but the situation kept getting worse. They said that they would fix it free of charge, but that they would fix the door instead of replacing the entire door. So I let them fix the door and they say that they have to leave my car there for a couple of days and that I have to drive a rental. After a couple of days, I go to pick up my car and I see a bunch of scratches all over my car. I think they gave the car a car wash, which it up ruining my car even further. I told them about it and they basically told me that I had a black car and that black cars are known for getting scratches from 3 different people there. My car did not arrive like that. I literally bought this car a month before service and they're telling me it came like that. They weren't even trying to fix it and they didn't want to cover the paint job. I don't remember who the service manager was, but I do remember her being a lady. All in all, please do not purchase a car here. Acuras are beautiful cars, but to see this dealership treat these cars and their customers like garbage is not worth it. I would never buy a car here again. Awful, on one visit they charged me for tire rotation that they didnt do, and then on another visit, I ask them to even out the tire pressure, simple task (which is part of the 30,000 mile maintenance) they didn't do it but said they did (pressure numbers were the same, just on different tire placement) and tell me to drive around and it will even out....they say that cause I am a woman and think I am dumb. I argue with them, that's not how it works. They insist they did it. Then I had to drive around to prove they were wrong (which they said so I would just leave) . Fuming, I went back 10 min later and demanded they fix it, which they did. After a $800 30,000 mile maintenance, ( which I question, it costs that much), I expect everything to be done and done correctly. I doubt the full maintenance was preformed (except the oil change and the new tire rotation). Do yourself a favor and mark your tires, and other things they need to touch or replace, and take photos before you go. If they are still the same parts or marks are in the same spot, demand them do it or get your money back and go elsewhere. read more

The sales woman kept pushing off discussing monthly payments on the vehicle until after we test drove the car. Once my wife was at the table to negotiate they brought over the Carfax and said hey someone made a "mistake" on the price of the car, it's actually $5000 more. These things "happen". The General Manager comes over and tells me that legally he can sell the car for whatever he has listed online regardless of if you are in the showroom. How am I to know that they didn't change the price online to ensure the "mistake" is covered up. DO NOT BUY. Coming from someone who has bought "many" new cars and motorcycles, my purchase here was one of the best experiences I ever had buying a vehicle. Beck was my salesperson and the transaction was so easy going with zero pressure and nonsense that you usually experience at a dealership. I have had my car serviced here twice over the last 3 years (I prefer Ramsey Acura and usually go there, but recently Wayne had a 24.95 oil change special). When I arrived, I was told it would be over an hour for an oil change, even though I had made an appointment. I didn't mind waiting, but it was unusual because I never waited more than 30 minutes for an oil change, so I questioned it. The girl who was helping (her name was Sam) me was visibly annoyed. The waiting area is very comfortable- coffee, snacks (a nice lady came around to offer them before setting the basket in the common area), television, free Wi-Fi. I actually didn't mind waiting. I previously had my car serviced in Ramsey Acura (in May) and was told of a few issues with my brakes and wearing tires. When the multi point inspection came back in the wayne location, I was told everything was perfect. Of course, I knew they were minor issues, which leads me to believe the MPI was not performed, or done hastily. I pointed out that I knew my tires were wearing down, and the girl quickly went back to measure them and confirmed that they were. I don't trust the service here, and on both occasions I experienced unprofessional service. Now I can remind myself why I go out of my way to get service in Ramsey Acura. I went back after a few weeks because my car had been driving weird. AGAIN the service was awful. I will absolutely never be back here again. read more

Always a positive experience when I need to take my car to get fixed! I bought my Acura TL here a few years ago pre-certified and it has been pretty good to me. I took it last year to get fixed and yes it did cost me and arm and a leg because I had taken it to another mechanic and he apparently didn't have the technical background needed to repair my car. So the dealership had to fix all the stuff the other mechanic had messed up! Sometimes its worth paying dealership prices to guarantee the work...trust me! So when my car didn't want to start last week I took it straight to the dealership. Turned out my entire fuse box needed to be replaced. Yohana was really awesome in telling me exactly what was wrong with my car and working with me so I could get it fixed. From the minute we walked in we felt very welcomed. We were introduced to our sales specialist Mr. Pedro Diaz who immediately welcomed us warmly and provided us with refreshments. (great coffee) Pedro was polite, considerate, knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to deal with. This was by far the best car buying experience yet. Not only was there ZERO pressure but they even beat all other dealer prices by several thousand dollars right from the start. WOW! Very impressed. Pedro was so considerate of our limited time that day that he streamlined all the paperwork quickly. Pedro has one of the best attitudes I've seen in a very long time especially at a car dealership. Came in today to look at their pre owned cars and they played a bait and switch on me. Price ON the car was a certain price. Once we sat down to discuss numbers, the sales person comes back and says there was a mistake and the car was actually 6k more than advertised!!! We demanded to speak to the manager who said that the price online was correct and they can only honor that price. We found a used car at Open Road via CarFax. $16,375. We were told the car was there and that our $17k budget (total) was no problem. Two days later it was still there so we stopped in. Our sales rep, Sabhir told us the car had "just arrived" and gave us an initial impression of a no-hassle deal. We sat down to go over details and suddenly felt like we were swimming with sharks. "Do you offer a warranty?" Sabhir assured me, "30 days. If anything happens during that time we just bring it back." Something major? "You just bring it back". What does that mean? "Bring it back and we look at it. 30 days, for ANYTHING." He also suggested we could return it if we weren't happy with it. I didn't buy any of it. The details sheet: Line 1, price, $16,375. Then a myriad of lines "Registration, Dealer Fees", etc., roughly $1,000. Then several lines like "NJ Registration $100" (two "Registration" fees?), Tags, etc. Then, a $980 line item, "Reconditioning Fee". Sabhir initially claimed they'd just gotten the car and only had time to wash and wax it. He said their service department charges them $300 just to look at the car. After more fees came a new Grand Total of more than $19,700, with still more to come. I had asked about using our own financing, but now we see we're charged $500 if we do. Earlier Sabhir said the dealership doesn't make money on financing. Nonsense. Search "Finance Reserve". If they don't make money, why the $500 fee? Sabhir asked if we had any concerns. Yeah, we had concerns. The back and forth went on and on. We played the insulting Magic Manager game where he "pleads our case" to an unseen omnipotent being. The last debate was over our refusal to pay a $500 financing fee. During this Sabhir claimed, "Oh, I don't make money on used cars"... Yeah, and I'm the King of Egypt. So finally Sabhir returns with an old favorite: "The manager says we're already losing too much money on this car and you can take or leave this offer. He said it's a 'Gift from God'". Uh huh. So we considered these divine new numbers. Still over the listed price but a reasonable value for the number. We agreed to terms including a refundable $500 deposit. Four times Sabhir tried to get my son to sign a contract that included everything we'd negotiated away. He finally relented and we departed with a deal. The following day I anonymously called Open Road and asked to speak to a manager. What warranties did they offer on a used car? He said bluntly, "We guarantee it will pass inspection. Nothing more." I gave an example or two: "We guarantee it will pass inspection." Also, "There is no cooling off period in New Jersey." The call underscored the dishonesty of our experience. When a pre-purchase inspection showed it needed an alignment Sabhir said they'd do it only to later text me stating that, "We can't do the alignment because we're losing so much money." The staff is pleasant, and the inventory looks solid. Scott (Finance) was such a positive that it made us feel a bit better. The real problem is their business model. They price vehicles low to grab your eye and then plan to load it up with lots of "gotcha", small-print fees. It's an unsatisfactory experience that leaves you feeling dirty. The deal included another oddity. The price of the car was lowered so that the paperwork showed us paying all the fees we'd refused. It didn't impact our bottom line, so we agreed. The next day my son found paperwork in the glove compartment. It was a sales packet from the previous buyer including personal information. Quite concerning. We called the buyer to let them know about it and to ask about the history of the car. The details exposed not only more lies about our car, but also their own bad experience with Open Road. In the end I can't recommend any dealership that employs such antiquated, frankly dishonest tactics to sell a vehicle. If you're not equipped or drawn to go shark hunting I would avoid swimming anywhere near these murky waters. UPDATE: After spotting this review on FB, the GM of the dealership, a John Molina, posted a ranting, misinformed series of threats in response including threats to sue if I didn't apologize and remove the review. I called him immediately and our discussion went the same as my experience with Sales. Lies and more lies. What a way to treat a customer. Where do I even begin. My sales experience was great. Got a great deal and sales was amazing. But oh my god the service center. Not a single person including the manager has any knowledge about the cars that they service. There is not any competence in this place whatsoever. I spent 3 days getting my car service for missing parts in the heads up display and every time I went back they never finished fixing the display. I constantly have to return to fix unfinished jobs constantly. The mechanics that work here fix one problem then create others in the car. Not to mention the major lack of communication in the place. In my most recent visit I was refused to be serviced. My car is possibly out of alignment and the employees and major refused to tell me if it is misaligned. They just tried to get me to pay $325 to balance my tires even though there is nothing wrong with them. All in all awful service and the employees and manager refuse service. Well as I've now been dealing with Acura for over 2 years now I've dealt with them 4 times with my car coming back with problems. There was significant water damage in my car from a leak that "must of been from me leaving my window open" but we can't find any water damage on any of the liners and I in fact didn't leave any windows open. They "fixed" the carpet, put the new electrical stuff in and I get it back without ports, half the carpet wasn't attached, the visor cracked me in the face while I was driving....thats just some of the problems. Well I've gotten back with a window that is completely shaking and slipping down but they say there's no problem. I currently have it at my body shop and they'll be getting a bill for the problem that didn't exist and definitely didn't have any water leaking through it in the hurricane it went through when this water leak happened. I would buy from Acura I just wouldn't buy from this place. Anytime I called the service department Tony who "handled" my issues never had an answer for any of my questions and couldn't even properly communicate with his mechanic so finally they transferred my issues to Diana. Here's my experience with Open Road. About a month ago I received an email from the internet sales manager stating I can get out of my lease 7 months early and get a new 2020 MDX (would be my 3rd car from here) For a drive off fee of $2881 (which includes all taxes fees, and first month payment according to the email. I thought about it for a moment and decided to go forward with the offer . Upon contact via phone conversation with the internet sales manager we discussed the initial $500 hold fee for the vehicle and the "drive off "fee of the balance due with no other hidden fees . So later that day I noticed my card was charged $1000 ,the not only the internet sales manager took the $500 the sales associate took $500 as well . I figured it was a honest mistake and lack of communication on their part and reached out to internet sales manager and agreed to only have to pay a balance due of $1881 drive off fee now. Upon the financial part of the drive off I was told the new drive off fee was now $2760 (almost $900 more then I was told originally) this was now taken from me and upon driving home noticed and called and emailed many times to get no response or at best lies saying I was gonna get a refund on my card and a check sent to me .Needless to say neither has happened.Disappointed and upset with this dealership is putting it mildly.I will never ever use them again,nor should anyone else for that matter .Josh Bradley is the biggest liar I have met at a dealership and will never go back again read more

Went in for Service on my leased MDX, met with Josh who I leased from before and decided to lease again with him and on the same day walked out with a new 2020 MDX. Experience was good-UNTIL I LEFT. When I turned my older MDX in that day, I had not realized that my husband had bought a BRAND NEW full size spare and it was in the MDX I turned in. I let Josh know immediately when I found out, at which point he told me that the Service dept. did not have time to remove it that day, and that I would have to come back. I did-But really I shouldn't have left without it. I went back for them to install my ORIGINAL full size spare, that we purchased in to my newly leased MDX- waited about an hour while they did it, got it home and when we went to look at it, it was a USED DINGED UP WHEEL!! NOT the one we purchased and were told we would get back. I called Josh more times than one should have to for help, and got NONE. Then-did I mention I am still waiting for my plates since July? The ones on my car expired August 27th and a month later I FINALLY had someone take my call today only to let me know they still are not in. When I asked, can you give me new temp plates? What if I get pulled over the response was-you shouldn't get pulled over, the cops aren't really checking for that?!!!!!! WHAAAAAT!? My husband happens to be a cop, and spit his coffee out at that response. She said If I should happen to get a ticket, they will pay it for me. Wow-thanks. Please note, I made 4 calls to Josh, left voicemails each time, and was sent to voicemail 2 other times when I called because I gave up on Josh-Today, after 2 MONTHS-someone finally let me know that she will have to-you guessed it, call me back-oh, and the wheel? Still not one word from Josh or the Service department that ripped us off for a brand new one. I came into Open Road with the goal of getting a good deal on a car. I was assigned to Josh Bradley who went through the motions of selling me on the car. After a bit of back and forth, we settled on terms and I decided on a color that unfortunately was not on the lot. He mentioned that putting down a deposit would hold the car for me as soon as it came into the lot. He also assured me that the deposit was completely refundable for any reason so I paid my deposit via credit card and left. The following week, I started having reservations about the deal. I then formally emailed Josh and asked for a refund. I left voicemails and asked him to call me back because I felt bad and wanted to apologize in person. Multiple phone calls led to speaking only with other Acura employees and a voicemail to the manager. More than a week after I formally asked for my deposit back, I decided I had enough and called my credit card company to dispute the charge. I understand dealerships get upset when transactions fall through but in a situation such as this, I expect them to be gracious and not petty. I definitely don't recommend this dealership at all! Final message to Josh: the A-Spec and the Advance trim have identical 3D ELS speaker system (you don't need to upgrade to the Advance trim!). read more

I purchased my certified car here a couple of years ago. I always get my repairs/maintenances done here. There is a Keurig in the waiting area with TVs. I think there is free wi-fi but I never used it. I always get notified for additional work that needs to be done. They are work that never cost less than 500 dollars. If you schedule work and drop it off early enough you may get a loaner if your over 24 years old. Once the work is complete they will wash and vacuum it. read more

I had a decent experience until the finance department screwed me on the interest rate. I have an excellent credit score and the finance team made no effort to get me the best interest rate. In fact, 2 days after the purchase I found an Acura deal on the internet for 1.99 APR through the same bank that was offered to me at 4.99. My calls to the finance department were never returned and the salesman was unwilling to help rectify the situation. Obviously the dealership is getting kickbacks for higher interest rates. This business is beyond terrible there was a clerical mistake done months ago and they will just not make good for it at all every time I called I was just put on hold and no one ever picked up the phone I asked for manager and he even didn't know what's going on this place is just beyond terrible for business please do not spend your money on this place at all it's not worth it if there is a problem they will completely just leave you not good at all!!! read more

I took my car for service on Monday, September 30th for service. There were a few issues that needed to be taken care of and were fixed. I was also told that my front brakes were good, the technician looked at them and drove the car for a test drive. The next day, I was hearing this thumpand minor shaking as I brake. My car never had this issue prior to bringing it here. I take it back yesterday, Wednesday, October 2nd and was told that my front brakes need to be grinded down. It happens when excessive heat is on the brakes. 0_0 Of course to do that it would cost me another $360.00. It just seems a little suspect that this would happen the DAY after I had my car there for service, hmmmmmmm. NOT happy with this, so I will not return there for service, I will have my car serviced at another Acura dearlership. I gave 1 star, but would give a 0 if it was an option. read more

It was that time for me to make the switch from a sedan to an SUV. Since I commute to the city for work and really only use my car on the weekends, I was not looking for a brand new car but instead a very nice used one. I looked at a few different cars at a few dealerships but the pushy sales people were a big turn off. I ended up looking at the Alfa Romeo and although the experience at the dealership was great, I was not impressed with the inside of the car. I wanted that new car feeling even though I was looking at used cars. I had one last car on my list and this brought me to Acura of Wayne. I called before arriving and asked if the car I wanted to see was available. I spoke to Jessie who confirmed the car was there and I could come in to take it for a test drive. When I arrived Jessie introduced my husband and I to Jose Diaz. I havnt had too many experiences with car dealerships prior to this day but I had already read online about pushy sales people and shady dealers so I was mentally prepared for the battle. Luckily Jose was none of the above. We took the car out for a test drive and Jose answered all my questions about the car and all the technology that came with it. He was extremely patient while we were back at the dealership and I was crunching numbers and again asking so many questions. I wanted to feel 100% sure this is what I wanted. I never felt rushed despite the dealership being crowded with plenty of potential buyers. I asked questions, went back to the car, came back with more questions but I was still feeling unsure about the purchase. I asked to look at a brand new suv but only wanted the same exterior color, interior color and upgraded package. I knew this was not what I came in here for but I just wanted to see all my options. I never felt hesitation from Jose and most importantly, I didn't feel any pressure. We went back out for another test drive. He gave me a side by side comparison of the used and new car, what the cost would be, what my payments would be etc. Obviously the new car was more money. We crunched numbers again and gave Jose my bottom line. I tried to be fair but I also wanted a good deal. The manager Adam stepped in and I was sure he was going to give me the "we're losing money on this deal" talk. Instead Adam worked with me to get me to the price I was comfortable with. I came to the table with my own financing and Acura matched the terms exactly. Scott the finance person was the icing on the cake. He was so funny and pleasant and never tried to upsell me anything. He really made the whole experience that much better. I was there for hours because I was unsure and thanks to Jose's patience and welcoming demeanor I left with a brand new car at a price I was extremely happy about. Very Bad Customer Service and Car buying experience. They ruined new car buying experience. Experienced issues with finance team "Greg Della Penna" (they messed it up and overcharged me by including handling and Destination fee of 990$ twice intentionally and also did not provide me rebate that was promised even though I am qualified, they also convinced me to finance with Acura in-order to get rebate which I did not get it) tried to rectify issue with General manager, but GM was not willing to fix the issue and I received unprofessional responses. He mentioned that he wont be able to help now because I already wrote online review, that is most ridiculous response. I did try reaching out them before writing review but they failed to respond or rectify the issue after numerous attempts. There is disconnect between sales team and finance team.
