My husband and I are so happy to have found this authentic Polish spot! We've been trying to find more Polish restaurants to go to than our usual places, and thankfully we recently discovered Opolska. The Kielbasa and Zapiekanki Na Bogato were delicious, can't go wrong with either one! I had had high hopes for this restaurant so I chose it finally on Uber Eats and immediately regretted my decision. I ordered what was supposed to be a traditional shish ka bob meat dinner which comes with side salad and fries. The meat was grilled but saturated in a disgusting and extremely salty sauce that tasted exactly like the salad dressing that was dumped all over the salad. The entire meal cost me $15.99 and was definitely not generously portioned for the high price nor did my order come to me hot or with a side of bread. Instead of the meat being placed neatly on skewers it was chopped up and over saturated in that disgusting sauce. Only the fries were good so my dog received more than half of my meal and she loved it so I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. Since when do you toss a salad and chunks of meat together in salad dressing and call it a shish ka bob? I had assumed there would be bread to accompany the sliced meat but this restaurant obviously didn't care how it was packed so I definitely don't recommend anyone order what I selected this evening because they should have put the sauce in a separate container rather than having it overpower the taste of everything in one container. Obviously they don't care about their uber eat customers so this won't be a repeat order from me. Bread doesn't cost much. After I spent $23 including a tip for this sub par meal I definitely won't order here ever again. Presentation and care is everything. They couldn't separate the sauce from my meal so the sauce spread on my French fries and the salad. From the photos from other customers who choose to dine in a serving of bread and pickles is included with meals and I spent all this money for a tip for my uber driver and priority delivery and this restaurant couldn't be bothered to offer me complimentary bread. This place is amazing. I've eaten in Warsaw Poland many times and this is the best Polish restaurant that I've ever eaten at outside of Warsaw and maybe including Warsaw. Great food and enjoyable experience. Basia was a great server and hostess, did what she could to keep our party of 11 happy. The food didn't come out at the same time so that was a little awkward but it was worth waiting for - delicious. The polish plate is a nice way to taste it all. This place is delicious! The prices might be a bit high, but the portions are ENORMOUS. I had a couple meals left over from my Hungarian potato pancake. (Read: Giant potato pancake folded over and filled with goulash.) It also came with the traditional Polish salad varieties. My guest had the schnitzel...also delicious. To my fellow Polish Americans, jedzenie jest kurwa SUPER!!! Just got home from having an amazing meal here. The food was some of the best polish food I've ever had at a RESTAURANT. Obviously my moms home cooking is what I compare all polish food to, whether it's a polish store hot buffet or restaurant. I will start with my review of the polish platter, a basic sampler of the best foods in the world. 1. The potato pancakes- super tasty, well seasoned and not too oily. My moms usually have bigger chunks of potatoe mixture, theres was very smooth. I didnt mind this, just a different texture. 2. Kielbasa (polish sausage)- very good, fried all over, maybe deepfried? My mom always pan fried her sausages with onions or sauerkraut, this was just a 4inch piece of fried sausage. The meat quality was good, not a lot of fat bits. 3. Pierogi- very very good. The dough was almost angelic in texture. Very soft and supple, not rubbery or old. I've never had such soft pierogi....sorry mom. There is some magic going on back there in the kitchen. Not even our homemade ones ever taste this good. The fillings, meat, savory cheese, and sauerkraut were very good. I even ordered some to take home for later! 4. And the best part of the plate, the golabek (stuffed cabbage roll with meat). Now this, this was what I came in being prepared to hate. My family unlike many others never used tomatoes sauce, we only ever ate these with my moms super secret mushroom sauce. Very rare for a restaurant to offer this sauce right off the bat. But here comes Opolska, kicking it old school like my fam! Now my second complaint with a lot of golabki, is most places stuff the cabbage leaves with a mixture that's not fully cooked, making them pink inside rather than brown. My mom puts the extra love in hers by cooking the rice first, browning all her meat, mixing it together, THEN stuffing the boiled cabbage leaves. This was takes for ever, an no ones got time for that. But oh wait, Opolska had the time! The first bite literally took my breath away. Everything tasted like my moms cooking down to the savory mushroom sauce. I'm not one to cry over food, but this damn cabbage roll choked me up. My husband was pretty confused by my reaction, having experienced my polish rage eating crap food from a buffet style polish restaurant in Woodale. 5. Mushroom and cheese zapiekanki- bomb, I ate one there, 2 home for later. Taste just like the ones in the town square I got in Myslenice during summer breaks as a kid. So in conclusion, this place is amazing, which personally I was not ready for mentally. I know no one will ever cook like my mom, and it's sad knowing I'll never have that food again without traveling back to Poland. And how feasible is that in our modern society? Who gets vacations anymore to globe trot back home? Opolska gave me a bit of my soul back, a small hug of happiness in this sometimes messed up world. I hope this business thrives and never leaves. This restaurant has opened only three weeks ago. We were here Saturday before Easter Sunday while visiting from Colorado. I have to say when I come back to Chicago area I always stop for delicious Polish meals. And this is as close as it gets to a home cooked meal. Decor:- modern with twist of country. Opole is famous for its concerts (something like the grammys) so the wall paper is of the famous stage from Opole festival. Food : Best Polish food I have ever had outside of Poland. Saturday, their special is Golonka, with side of three different salads (surówki) , beets (buraczki) , sour crout (kapusta kiszona) and coleslaw. Soft and delicious. I enjoyed Flaki (tripe soup) while my husband tried the Potato pancake with Goulash. (placek po zbujnicku) All super delicious. We will definitely be back. Service was amazing, ladies were were extremely polite and accommodating..the owner came to check on us to see how we liked everything. Great food - the stuffed cabbage is amazing. If you're a rookie at polish good, get the polish plate - great variety of all the staples, pierogi, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, and polish sausage. We drove from an hour north just to find a restaurant that serves polish food and this restaurant did not disappoint! The interior is cozy, the decor is cool and modern and the food portions are insane. My mom was so happy and said the food reminded her of her mother's cooking when she was a child, especially the zurek. I had the pork cutlet and it was as big as the plate! What a great hidden gem! The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. The service was warm, friendly and paced wonderfully. The food was incredible and authentic. Have been coming here for family get together and birthdays from the start of this restaurant opening. Being as we are polish and always love going out for some great polish food but never will we be coming back here again or letting other friends and family come. This place use to have great food and appearance when it first open.. now the food is way smaller in portions and looks nothing like the pictures or the description per say. We came here for our grandmas birthday as a party of 8 and it took over an hour for our food to come and once it finally came after an hour and a half it was cold. Mind you the place was not busy at all. It also all came separately so by the time I was done eating my simple chicken ceaser salad that I ordered my dad and sisters food did not come out yet and they ordered the same thing. When it did finally come out it was COLD! When we asked the manager what was taking so long being that it was over an hour of us waiting for our food and the restaurant was empty by now he said everything is being made fresh blah blah blah and then the food came COLD!! The manager was extremely rude to all of us and not accommodating at all. He was a complete coward and did not come over by us once again after we got our food. Absolutely unreal behavior.. there are so many other great polish restaurants in the area there is no point on coming here. read more

Called 10 minutes before closing and placed order to go for 2 knysza's and zurek. I'm giving 1 star for taking order right before closing. Knysza was super dry, there was barely any sos, almost no chicken, mostly cabbage... Chicken itself was very dry too. I was super disappointed!
