This optic gallery has been near my home for some years now and I see it all the time. I haven't always been on my Ps and Qs when it comes to eye health-so naturally I'd been avoiding going to the eye doctor. I decided after 5 years of not going-I should be an adult and go. Dr. Peguese came highly recommended so I decided to give it a try. SO GLAD I DID! The staff is so kind and welcoming, and Dr. Peguese has an obsession with all things eyeball. So once I got the exam she told me all about the weird shaped grape thing in the picture that was my Eye. I love when professionals are passionate about their work. And Dr. Peguese is PASSIONATE about her work and so knowledgeable. I got new glasses and contact lenses for the very first time. The staff was so kind and so patient with my inability to touch my eyeball when trying to insert new contact lenses. I can see now! I used to go to the arroyo location and switched to this location to follow Perla. She is the absolute best!! She knows what I like and always has options for glasses ready for me when I arrive to my appointment. She goes above and beyond to help and always is easy to talk to. Customer service is top notch and you can tell she truly cares and wants you to be happy. Also, every Christmas she does a huge toy drive for kids and gives back to our community. Perla is an all around great person. I went to Dr Uy and he was very nice and you could tell he really cared. He spent a lot of time with me in the room to make sure my contacts fit perfect. I have been a patient at Optic Gallery Blue Diamond since the location opened. Love Dr Peguese as she is excellent. My poor rating is due to the lack of support for the custom glasses I ordered. The glasses became loose after wearing for several months and I took them in to be tightened. After the office tightened them, the one side of eyeglass arm fell off. I took them back to be fixed and I was told they are out of warranty, they no longer carry the brand so nothing can be done. No offer for new glasses and get some type of discount. It took over 2 months to get the glasses when I ordered them and when they came the prescription was incorrect so had to send them back. Very disappointing level of service for a customer of long service. Sorry to say I will be changing eye doctors now. Update to my review: Dr Peguese called me immediately after my review to apologize and fix the situation. Very impressed with the immediate feedback and fixing the negative to a positive. I live up on the north side and my regular eye Dr (Dr Presley at Aliante Optic Gallery who is so awesome) referred me to Dr. Elizabeth Peguese after I was diagnosed with Keratoconus. Mind you I have not been able to see 20/20 for 30 years. I came in and Dr Peguese put me at ease and voila after putting a pair of scleral lenses on she was able to get me to 20/20 on one eye and 20/15 on the other I just started. crying because I never thought I would be able to see so clear again. She was so kind and had so much confidence in her experience it put me at ease and I trusted her because of it. 2 weeks later I went in and I could not believe I could read some letters on the smallest line! This sounds like it should be common sense but any acute eye issues you experience - call your eye doc! Urgent cares and ERs are not equipped with the proper machines/tools to evaluate your eyes! Dr. Peguese and the staff here were phenomenal. Very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Peguese is very knowledgeable and treats you as if she's known you a while. A little context - Last week unbeknownst to me, I had a corneal abrasion in my left eye. If you've ever had one then you know the pain is excruciating and feels like a sharp edge of a rock constantly cutting your eye. I woke up with a painful and swelling eye. It hurt to blink, close or basically do anything with that eye. My first instinct was to call mobile urgent care because I had no driver or babysitter that day. They diagnosed me with corneal abrasion and prescribed an antibiotic eye ointment. They also recommended that even if I feel relief from the ointment (which I didn't) to see an optometrist regardless. I'm so glad I did! I called later that day before their closing time and they said they would be able to squeeze me in first thing in the morning. I was greeted by their lovely staff - check in was smooth. They did a quick eye exam and then Dr. Peguese came in to evaluate my eye. I explained what happened and she did her thing. She put some numbing drops in my eye and a plain contact to act as a bandage - it was instant relief! Like I said, although urgent care was right with their diagnosis, there was only so much they could do without proper equipment. I was so grateful! And she prescribed an antibiotic eye drop to replace the ointment that urgent care prescribed. I had some issues with my pharmacy not having the initial one she prescribed in stock. I gave Optic Gallery a call and Dr. Peguese worked with them to get me an alternative antibiotic drop. I had my follow up visit today, my eye is healed and I have nothing but nice things to say. I was in and out! So far I've had great experiences at both Optic Galleries that I've been too. Highly recommend. And another win is that they are located right next to Cinnaholic :) read more

I should have seen that as a red flag. Due to my work switching insurances, I needed to move from Optic Gallery Arroyo to Optic Galley Blue Diamond. What a mistake. They take Anthem Blue Blue Cross Blue Vision Health Insurance. This made my appointment only a $20 Copay. (A $140 Discount) If you don't have insurance Vision Works is down the street but it is $50 Copay. This was the first time getting my eyes checked my entire life. The Visit went smooth and the Doctor was very patient with all the questions I had. The process was quick with limited wait time. The office is under a year old & I found this out by asking because I was shocked at how clean everything was including the restroom. They 100% take pride in what they do. Anyways it's been 4 Days since my visit and just wanted to thank them with this review because my time here is not done as I ended up learning I have a slight stigmatism & it can be corrected with glasses for using my phone for extended times as it has caused damage to my eyes working as a promoter on my phone 6-18hrs a day for 7+ Years. What really impressed me is that they listened to why I was there (Headaches, Eye Twitch, Irritability due to my Vision) & when my exam was done the Doctor told me I didn't need glasses but if I got them it would help with my negative things listed above. Then another person helped talk to me about what I wanted to do; do I buy glasses or do I skip it? My issue was very minimal so contacts were not an option as they are not made with what I needed fixed. I was then shown what would help the most, and was suggested to get the cheapest option available. I was shocked I was told to get all the extras for my glasses but I asked a ton of questions and of course decided to get some designer Prada's with all the bells and whistles and even then I was told I didn't need everything which saved me money! I'm still waiting for my order but between the Frames & Lenses my insurance saved me between 35% & 40%! I will update this after I receive my glasses.
