My sunglasses were missing a screw so I stopped at this local store on my way home. I'm so glad I did because they are the nicest people!!! I was welcomed right when I walked in and the kindest man said he'd be happy to help me. He quickly fixed the problem, tightened the other screws and cleaned my glasses free of charge! He was so nice. He didnt have to do that. I guess it was an easy fix but still....And the store itself is very clean with LOTS of really nice glasses. I dont wear prescription glasses but kinda wish I did!! Its nice to see that good honest people still exist. I highly recommend this store for anyone with glasses. read more

Just returned with my husband from what was supposed to be to a first time visit to check out the place. I need new glasses and want to try progressives again . Yes ..I said "again". You see I tried them 3 times in the Last 3 years and have never been able to adjust to them. Perhaps the reason they didn't ever work out for me was because I kept choosing the "cheaper places". Always looking to save a buck is not always a good thing.. Especially when it comes to your eyes. I had read the amazing reviews about OPTICS BY SERGE and thought it was a good day to go and just check out the place. I never had intentions of purchasing anything today . I actually had another place I was going to check out tomorrow. Well, no need to go there after finding this great, I mean GREAT place. I can't review my glasses yet because they won't be ready until next week. This review is strictly about the customer service I received today. It was better then I could have hoped for. This store is amazing! Great customer service and a great selection of all kinds of eyewear. They also offer repair services as well. I had my dad's glasses fixed twice with them. They were quick and effective and reasonably priced. A month ago I went in because my sunglasses were loose and the owner fixed it on the house! Highly recommend Serge's optical services. Had to change one of my glass lenses to non prescription after cataract surgery. Serge is the only optics store you need to know about in LA. Him and his staff are knowledgable and provide personal customer service. A friend referred me there in 2010, while I was working in the Valley, so on top of the excellent service and reasonable prices, it was convenient. I went in there thinking I was buying the best of the best frames from Italy at a reasonable price. Every frame was at a negotiable price. No set prices on these frames. I'm thinking "this is too good to be true". I purchased a pair. I brought my frames to a retailer and they told me my glasses were fake $2 glasses from China. read more

I recently lost one of the screws to my glasses and had a haphazard tape job holding them together. The shop I bought them at is in Highland Park, but I work in Tarzana and needed this fixed quickly. So, I gave this place a call to see if they'd fix my glasses. I walked in the store was really impressed with the selection and look of the place! Serge was awesome! My girlfriend has been coming here for a while to buy glasses and I needed glasses so I came in today to buy glasses and I left so happy. First of all, the store is nice, big, clean, and has so many sunglass options. My first experience with Serge was over a year ago, I brought in two frames and walked out with a fresh pair of eyes. Sadly my first pair was stolen from my car and my second broke only a month or so ago (love krazy glue!). My debacle was that I'm now living in the Bay Area, so I did what any obsessive compulsive dude would do and shipped them to Serge with a note. WOW! I could seriously not be happier with the work and the customer service from this shop. I was recommended to Serge by a coworker and decided to take my grandmother's old frames in to have the lenses replaced. The lenses had a certain color and tone to them and I wanted to duplicate it without the prescription (I have 20/20 so it wasn't necessary). He took a look and let me know that he could complete the job, quoted me an incredible price and I handed them over immediately with complete trust that they would come out to what I had in mind. I received a call a week later and went to pick up my new shades and I could not be more ecstatic with the results!!! Serge matched them almost exactly to what I had envisioned (I say almost because the lens color I wanted to duplicate was actually a faded version of the original, so it was a little harder to do). But he delivered with a smile and with excellent customer service, I can't recommend this place and Serge enough. Even if you don't need a custom job, every single pair of glasses and frames in his store are absolutely gorgeous, you'll love it. read more

Its rare for me to give a 5 star rating, I was referred to serge by a friend and wow!! This man is knows his stuff even when the prescription was wrong because the "EYE DOCTOR" got it wrong!! He was able to make it right with out fancy high tech instruments that the DR. had that alone sold me right there. Hiss customer service was stellar even with impatient self entitled customers that were having tantrums because there was a wait serge kept it 100% pro the whole time. I have been coming here for years! I used to live about a block away and even though I no longer live near, I still go out of my way to get all of my optical needs from here. They're honest, affordable for having such high quality products, and soooo accommodating! I've broken my glasses many times and was able to get replacements in under 2 hours! 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!! That's with a whole new frame and lens! Gald I found this place!! Great prices, fast service and really values the customer. They will take care of you for sure. I needed new glasses in a hurry because I lost mine riding to work one day. Called the store, had me come in same day along with my prescription and I was out in less than 20 minutes with a sweet pair Jazo eyewear glasses. They have a magnetic "clip on" attachment to make mine a polarized pair of sunglasses at any time! Anyway, I paid about 140 for them which beats that other over priced crafty lens place by far! Staff was very friendly and patient while I selected a pair. And they have a huge selection to chose from. Over all I'm a happy camper, love my new glasses and will recommend Serge to anyone!! Waited too long to write this review since I have been a loyal and happy customer with Serge for over 8 years now. No one gives better service than Serge. There can be a dozen people in the store but when he is helping you he makes you feel like there is no one else in that store. Talk about some good concierge service!! His selection is great and has an incredible memory and never forgets to let me know when new things are in or if my order is on back log or if the shipment didn't come in.
