It's my anniversary, the 31st to be exact! Dinner was a disappointment. First I made the effort to dress up but apparently this place has no dress code, as I saw a young man in jeans shorts and sandals. Dress seems to be relaxed casual. Second I imagined this would be on scale with Mahogany steak house and it is NOT! I really was excited to try this place, did I say it was my anniversary?!?? For the cost of the food I expected a better experience! I ordered rack of lamb, the presentation looked nice but when I bit into the chop it was cold and too pink... I expressed medium but it looked rare! Same with the sides hit or miss on heat. The Mac n cheese was cold and the carrots and au gratin hot I just don't understand. The restaurant was pretty empty on a weekday and the server was nice but my experience was terrible. I sent the food back and didn't order anything. I ate bread and had a glass of wine. My husband said his prime rib was okay, just okay for said $$$$! As you can imagine I will never go here again. The manager didn't even come by our table. She did comp us a dessert, crème brûlée (which again ) I didn't eat! I literally downloaded this app to review this restaurant. First I will say the younger server we had was AMAZING! Sh was so engaged and my review does not diminish her service because she was amazing. I've been to all the steakhouses in Okc. I order the same thing every where I go. I ordered the 7oz filet mignon and one bite I was done. By far the toughest medium steak I've ever had. I only went because I wanted a good steak....$271.00 later I had a rubber tire. I just told them to Box up what was left because I knew I wouldn't eat it. I have my reasons why I got tha crappy steak but apparently they didn't know how much I love steak and how it should literally melt in your mouth. This one is definitely off my list! read more

We had the BEST meal here on their patio on a recent weeknight. The sweet hostess set up a nice table with umbrella for us quickly upon our arrival. Adam was our server and he was the best we have had in a long time. He had amazing recommendations, kept our drinks full, and checked on us frequently. When our son arrived later he brought him a hot, made from scratch roll so he wouldn't have to eat a cold one. Very nice touch. They have half price appetizers Monday thru Thursday from 3-6pm and Adam recommended the meatballs and they were amazing! We got calamari also and then the three of us split the 14oz Ribeye with green beans and au gratin potatoes. They cut the steak in the kitchen for us to share. We had our valentines dinner here and it was not great. We first were sat in an area away from the main part with other younger couples, while older couples were sat in the nicer area. Then, our waiter was very rude and condescending. He told me "earmuffs, earmuffs, earmuffs" like i would know what that meant, he was meaning to cover my ears so he can ask my partner a question. Like I knew what that was supposed to mean, not to mention he was talking to me as a child. Then, he made a joke about my partner getting a martini as a man. This isn't even all he said but I don't want to write it all in the review, but it was a lot. The food was good, but everything else was ruined by the waiter and area we were sat. I did not care for the mushrooms, Jan thought they were good. I thought they were bland and came to the table with little warmth. I ordered the Chef's Chopped Salad with jalapeño ranch dressing. I loved it! Jan ordered a wedge salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our dinner entrees were the 7oz filet and the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were good, but not exceptional. We shared a creme burlee with coffee for dessert. The creme burlee was excellent. The service was excellent. It was quite, and the dining experience was good. Dinner was a disappointment. Service wasn't top-notch like other steak places. Starting with the old-fashioned, there was so much maraschino liqueur in it, the cocktail tasted like cough medicine, probably one of the worst ones I've had. I didn't finish it and normally I finished my cocktails. For apps, the crab stuff mushroom was okay, it was pretty bland. Next is the filet mignon. Some parts were more tender than most since the outer parts were overcooked. I only had the parmesan risotto as a side dish, and it was very peppery and salty. My boyfriend had the rack of lambs, which was probably the best dish from this place. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I wished I got that. 5 family members decided to try this place at 5:30pm on a Monday. Only 2 people there at that time. We waited 15 minutes to give our orders 3 salads came out in a few minute. Waters were filled once. After 1hour and 20 minutes I went to find someone to ask where is our meals. He went to ck and in about ten minutes he brought us food. My pork chop was overcooked. Exceptional and classy locale. Prompt and attentive service (if I am getting the server's name correctly it is Andie, and she was awesome). The steak was amazing, but the appetizers - especially the crab stuffed mushrooms - were phenomenal. The beef torpedoes, bacon wrapped scallops and lobster bisque were also very good. A tad disappointed. Heard lots of good things which had my expections set high. Upon entering the foyer is STINKY, smells like a glade plug-in gone wrong. Very off-putting when you're expecting to scarf down a steak. The decor is way dated & very over the top, excessive, with LOTS of security cameras on every wall. Necessary in a Steakhouse? If so, why? The prices are REAL high & the food is just ok. We ordered steak, salmon and seabass with the trip trio of sides; mashed potatoes, broccoli au gratin & mushrooms. It's been a while since I've had a streak this good. Even though they gave me a medium well even I ordered a medium rare, the steak melted in my mouth. It had great taste as well. The server took care of us really well as the entire staff was Perry nice. It was nice with old swing music playing the background. I would go again, but I would not order steak. I was with a group of about 12 men on June 6, 2024. 7 pm. I ordered the fourteen ounce ribeye medium rare. It was grisly and tough. It didn't look like a traditional ribeye. About a 1/3 of it was well done & a gray color, & dried out. 1/3 was properly cooked, and the rest ranged from raw to well done. It was heavily coated in salt. I considered sending it back, but I did not want to stand out or put a damper on our evening. The appetizers were amazing, particularly the scallops. The service was also outstanding. The men who ordered the sea bass and salmon smothered in a Creole sauce were happy with their meals & it looked fantastic. read more

My beautiful bride and came here last year for our 47th anniversary. it was amazing. our waiter asked if there was anything special we were celebrating, and we told her it was our anniversary. the food was exceptional. after dinner, we were given free desert for our anniversary. Returned for our 48th. Seated quickly and our waiter was good. Food, not so much. way too much garlic in mashed potatoes, green beans were way over salted. Waiter brought a second plate of green beans and these had way too much garlic. Couldn't eat either one. My pork chop was very dry, but my wife's medallions were good and tender. We had a private room to celebrate a family member's ordination as an Episcopal Priest. It was a Friday night at the end of June, and for the two hours we were there, only one other table was occupied. The service was solid to very good. The food was not good. Dull, flavorless, and generally reminded me of Golden Corral from my childhood. It certainly was not worth a $65 per person average. For the prices, this place should be 10x better. read more

We were promptly seated at a booth of our choosing. Our drink order was taken quickly. We ordered the shrimp cocktail to start. The shrimp were huge and very tasty! They brought bread & herbed butter out with the appetizer. The bread was hot and so good! I definitely could've filled up on that! My wife ordered the ribeye, medium rare, and I ordered the salmon. We also got masked potatoes and glazed carrots. Her steak was cooked perfectly and was flavorful and tender. My salmon was topped with crab and in a white wine sauce. It was terrific! I really enjoyed the potatoes and carrots as well. They brought us a chocolate cake since it was our anniversary which I thought was a sweet gesture. This place is awful. We came here with high expectations and came away just disappointed multifold. Firstly, the steaks are okay. They weren't bad, nor great, but okay, though definitely not for the price and when you have as much competition as you do in OK. It was this, culminated with bland sides and somehow worse drinks that made the place a 2/5 experience. As with most "upper scale" eateries, this place charges you for every thing, and not by just $1-2 either. Mind you, I'm a big proponent of you get what you pay for so typically that isn't a big deal. Here, it was just ridiculous and left me feeling like I just went through a shake down to get a fulfilling meal. Our waitress seemed as though she just came from another shift at a local diner, cigarette stench and all. At least they are usually friendly at diners. And lastly, our drinks. You wouldn't think a sidecar would be that difficult to make, but I literally watched the bartender question the waitress who then had to look up on her phone what a sidecar was. She must have googled something else, because what I ended up with tasted like a spoiled orange soda. For $300 for two people, this was an absolute disaster. If however, you enjoy wasting money at what is essentially a stale overpriced Chili's, this place is a MUST! read more

Opus has got that look you want when you're coming to a steakhouse. When you decide that(for whatever occasion it is)you're willing to shell out more money and go to more than your mundane dinner joint, you want the place to look a level above said place. Opus perfects this to a T. The letters on the building are backlit with a regal blue. The doors at the entrance that you pull open are tall and thick reminiscent of a castle. I came in for a group dinner talk and the room that we were in was one of the best I've been in - very well lit and wood furnishings with a medieval feel to it. Moving on to the food - everything was decent but lacked that extra "umpf" to be great. At least they're consistent? The Caesar salad got boring after I got halfway through, should've tried the Opus signature salad instead. The bread was soft and warm but was wheat based and didn't have much taste. Went with the filet mignon at the recommendation of the waiter. It came out on top of the mashed potatoes and surrounded by a ring of broccoli which was an interesting patient. The steak was decently flavored and wasn't bland by any means, but just wasn't on par with some of the other steakhouses I've had in OKC. Got the chocolate cake for dessert which looked promising but was also bland despite 3 different favors of drizzle and a generous portion of frosting on top. Service was top notch - compared to other similar group dinners I've been to the wait staff did a great job of bringing one course right after another without delay. Overall, the place itself and the service really made me want to give them 4 stars but given the so-so food I just couldn't justify it. If you're looking for overpriced to make an impression, this is your place! Okay - honest assessment: staff was courteous and seated us quickly with a reservation. Atmosphere is very nice - romantic! Food - I've had a better steak and I've had a worse one. End of the night with two main dishes, two sides (for two to share), a couple of adult beverages each, and cheesecake desert. When you first enter the restaurant you will be amazed by its grandeur. I have to admit that I always thought the only place to get good steaks was downtown OKC. I now know that you can get great food in a great atmosphere closer to home at Opus. The steaks were delicious and I had the fish which was delicious as well. My husband and I recently ate here and it was absolutely FANTASTIC. We have been to several of the steakhouses in Oklahoma City and this was up there in our list of favorites. We had the crab cakes and lobster bisque as appetizers. The crab cakes were AMAZING. They were almost completely crab meat with enough bread crumbs just to hold it together. We shared the bone in ribeye and the side sampler with the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The steak was one of the best we've had and cooked perfectly. We were disappointed. Here's why: 1. We made a reservation for two. We were sat at a table set for 4, without a wine list, without the light lit on the table. The host did not do his job. 2. We let the server know that it was our first time to visit the restaurant. There was no introduction to the menu. No warmth. No specials. 3. The decor is hyper masculin, oversized and lacks style. Table top was wobbly. 4. The appetizer and salad choices were a pass for us. Normally we eat all the courses. These lacked elevation, and do not compete with the ever current dining experience expectations. Whether or not we're dealing with COVID. This is beyond that. Just uncreative. No awareness of vegetables. 5. We got two Opus Filets. One 10oz and the other 7oz. (They come with a pepper cream sauce and mushrooms) With a side of steak fries and broccoli au gratin. The steaks were good but the sauce was too thin. The steak fries are fried sliced baked potatoes. We liked those. The brocoli au gratin was disgusting. It tasted like over steamed frozen broccoli covered in a massive amount of cheese. I'm telling you straight, it was like cheese with a sprinkle of bad broccoli. Lol. It was like someone who hates broccoli cooked broccoli. Lol. 6. The table bread tasted like stale Walmart bread heated up in the microwave. Terrible. 7. Ice tea was NEVER refilled. 8. Table was not bused appropriately. 9. Other customers seemed put out as well. 10. We felt like getting dessert but we passed so we could get out sooner. That was our first and last time. read more

I for one love both the Caprese Salad and the prime rib here, and cannot understand why there are kvetchers among us here atop Mt. Yelp. My dining experiences at Opus Prime have all been top drawer. Maybe some folks just went on those "off nights" that all restaurants seem to have from time to time. Hell if I know. Great ambience. Terrific service. Friendly management. I am happy to update my initial review. Thanks goes out to Bill, the owner. We were invited back to rectify our initial visit. This visit was a complete 180 from our original one. We had a lovely dinner to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. Appetizer, main dishes and sides were all wonderful. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sea bass was delicious. The wait staff was prompt and very courteous. We had a very enjoyable evening...thank you Bill and thank you Opus for making my daughter's birthday a special one. We will be back! read more
