I'm kicking myself for not stopping in here before! One of the best finds we've had in a while. I always stop at the Oracle Inn across the street simply because I've done so since I was a kid. We took the bike out and needed a bite to eat. Saw a bunch of good reviews on Yelp and decided this was the place to be, The Cafe is in an old home, which makes the experience cute and quirky. You enter through a small shop with neat organic items and a small deli. They had some items the worth a look. You can sit on the patio which is beyond cute, or inside. It was too windy to eat outdoors that day, but we'll come back another time just to try the patio which had tables set out back against a water fall. You have to walk through the kitchen to get to the patio, but the space totally works. We loved it. The decor is eclectic with some really interesting local artists showing artwork throughout the space. The food was excellent. While we were eating we spent most of the time saying "oh! So and so would love it here!" And " can't wait to do brunch with the family next time." They have items on the menu that are unexpected like Trout Hemmingway which is trout with lemon..homemade corned beef hash, and awesome old school Sammies like Monte Cristos. I'm not doing the menu justice here..sorry! I tried to corned beef hash because the waitress told me it usually seeks out quickly. sold. It was very unusually...definitely home made with awesome chunks of aged house made corned beef, carrots and other veggies. Never had one quite like this. Really good. Again, I'm not doing this place justice with my description of the menu. Honestly, head here and give it a try. We will definitely be back. read more

Out of the way, but so glad I made the trip. Really friendly family style service. Had the Cubano sandwich which wasn't on the menu but was the special. Tangy and perfectly toasted, I loved it. They feature pies but honestly my slice of peach was just average, nothing to rave about. I just loved the atmosphere, the service and (especially) the cole slaw. Boy was I surprised by how much I loved this place. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. We were out in the middle of nowhere (Biosphere 2). Instead of going to the city to eat, we decided we were just too hungry after spending an hour and a half talking about plants, so we decided to eat here. I feel so lucky I did. I decided to order the salmon with bacon and onions. It sounds pretty typical. But when I ate it I was in heaven. Rarely when you eat fish at a restaurant does it melt in your mouth. This did. They can cook a mean fish. Impressed. I was totally full by that point but everyone on Yelp mentioned that you have to order dessert. Thank you Yelpers for the advice because if I didn't know this, I would have passed by the best cake/pie I have ever eaten. Yes, you heard right. Their gluten free / dairy free coconut cake was maybe the best cake I have eaten in my 28 years of being. (I'm not sure if I would rank it #1 or #2). I don't care if something is gluten free or dairy free. I just care if it's yummy. And yes it was. I could barely keep myself together that first bite, it was so good. I don't want to over hype anything (because part of the awesomeness of this spot is no expectations). But, I do encourage you to try this place out if you're in the area (maybe if you're also not in the area). read more

Following our morning tour of the Biosphere, we stopped here for lunch based on great reviews. They hit the mark on every aspect. Friendly, efficient service; nice patio out back with shade trees; delicious food, and outstanding pies. We ordered the daily specials of eggplant parm and meatloaf panini - both were sensational. We saw several locals order their pie before their meal. Smart move because the pies were going fast. I got the last slice of the coconut cream pie and it was outstanding. Hubby ordered the blueberry goat cheese pie and it was terrific as well. We highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I've been here 5 or 6 times and every time has been a delight. The coffee is good, the service is always friendly and wonderful. All of the food has been amazing. We enjoyed the unique atmosphere and the food we ordered for lunch was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we are not in this area of the state very often but we will definitely make a point to go back in the future. As a mother of a 1 year old, my only complaint was that they did not have children's options on the menu or a changing table in the restroom. Wow, what a hidden gem! We were looking for something to eat that wasn't fast food before we went to the Biospehere and happened upon this place in downtown Oracle. Homey little place w a fantastic menu! The Hubby had a chicken club panini type sandwich..this had an awesome horseradish mustard! Was in Oracle visiting family and went here on the way back home. We didn't realize it at the time, but they were 30 minutes before closing, but you would never know it. All menu items were available, and the service was top notch. The food was amazing, the menu varied, and they easily accommodated my vegan diet, pointing out items on the menu that were vegan or could be modified. We sat out on the patio in the best October weather. We ended the meal with the best tart cherry almond pie I've ever had. (Not vegan, but I'm only 90% vegan :) I even bought a pair of really cool earrings there - they have a case of jewelry there made by a local artist. Bottom line, you have to go here. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. We were out here in Oracle camped out for a javelina hunt and decided to venture into town. This place is an absolute gem. Very quaint, we sat in the back patio. I ordered the chicken piadini, and I added kalamata olives, my boyfriend got the cafe breakfast. I also got mine gluten free. A gluten free piadina , and they made the dough theirselves!!! It was absolutely to die for. And the boyfriends breakfast was amazing, big portions, beautiful biscuit with fresh honey and 3 slices of huge meaty bacon. The coffee was so delicious also. The chef came and asked us how everything was. It was an almost perfect experience, besides needing to hunt down our waitress a few times who seemed to want to play on her phone. I wish I lived near this place!!!!! This is a must visit when near Oracle. We will definitely be back!!! read more

The food here was not good and very expensive. It is served on paper plates The service was also poor. I had to flag down a waitress to get a refill of ice tea. My husbands sloppy joe was dried out and looked like leftover meat. I would not drive out here to spend a lot. Phenomenal food and a fun, funky atmosphere. I want to go back and have a few more items from the menu--we had brunch, so were able to order off the breakfast or lunch menus. Two of us drank the house iced tea, which was unlike any tea I've had before (and you're reading the post of someone who has an entire shelf in her pantry dedicated to tea, as well as digital thermometers and special pots for heating water). The third person had coffee and reported it to be AWFUL. I had a chicken caesar piadini, which was a flatbread with yummy fresh-roasted garlic, topped with a fresh chicken caesar salad. The dressing tasted homemade, and it was the perfect size. Someone else with me had the quiche of the day, which was delicious. I can't remember the third person's order, but he was happy with it. For dessert, we shared a piece of homemade strawberry rhubarb pie with homemade whipped cream and I have to say that it was just about the best pie I've had. 4/5 for three reasons: 1. Service was inordinately slow. It's a small-town restaurant, I know. But still. 2. They had a lot of really cool local artwork on the walls, which I loved, and also a library, which is a really cool idea. However, if you have a library in a restaurant, you need to dust in there daily. It was pretty gross. 3. Parking SUCKS! Beware! I'd recommend it to you if you're not starving (all the portions were smaller than what you'd see at a typical American restaurant), and if you're not in a super rush. It also might be a cool place to find that funky gift for your one friend who's impossible to shop for, but who loves weird art. read more

In this town of 3,600 there is a culinary gem you must eat at. I dined here midday today, after visiting Biosphere 2. The menu is diverse, the wine/beer selection a treat and the food is DELICIOUS. I had the trout ala Hemingway with a side house salad. The trout was prepared perfectly, the pesto potatoes are OUTRAGEOUS and side salad very fresh. This place is more than a cafe. It has a small market with a variety of specialty and healthy items, there's a cooler with take out food, a freezer with gelato and ice cream. Justin and I had a nice conversation about the area. Stopped to grab some coffee, couldn't leave without fancy pastries and pie. Now that I'm home and digging into the pecan cinnamon roll, I am SO SAD that I didn't buy more! Perfect, soft, luscious cinnamon roll with just the right amount of frosting and not too sweet. The Napoleon is so flaky, layered with cream and doused in powdered sugar. I don't want to share! Sob! What a great find! We were looking for somewhere in Oracle for food after golf. Based on other Yelp reviews, we decided to give this little place a try. We are so glad we did! Large breakfast/lunch menu with fresh ingredients cooked up by the owners. Too bad we didn't have room for pie because it seems that is one of their specialties. I have read the reviews and finally got around to trying it for breakfast. I was disappointed. The corned beef was a real disappointment......it resembled more of a ground up mish mash, not at all like what one would expect in it's more traditional form. In my opinion, taste was blah. The country breakfast was another disappointment . Potatoes were not apparently pan fried but baked and then chopped up. No browning of potatoes. Bacon was moderately over cooked. Decor is ok but nothing special. On the plus side, service was good read more

We were in town visiting family and went here for lunch. It doesn't look like much on the outside but DO NOT pass this place up if you're in town. It looks like a hole-in-the-wall and it may be, but it is amazing! The back patio is beautiful and peaceful with the water feature. We had the filet mignon chili, thai peanut chicken salad, and ham & brie sandwich. The meat in the chili was delicious! The salad was huge and one of the best I've had. And the sandwich was cheesy and hammy and caramalized oniony and delicious! I even liked the coffee and I never say that. I normally only drink it only for the caffeine and add cream to it. I didn't feel like it needed cream this time. Service was spectacular. We had a great conversation with our waiter and I'm sorry we forgot to ask for his name. He was amazing and I would love to give him credit for it. The only con: We couldn't get the wifi signal on the back patio. But if you need that, just go into the lounge where it worked great! read more

Every item on their eclectic menu is home-made and will make your taste buds wake up and say "Howdy!". Curry for breakfast? Sure, why not. Killer Filet Mignon chili. But...you must save room for homemade pie with crust better than my grandma used to make.
