    Saturday late morning

Sunnyside is like the old fashioned diners from the past. There is literally black and white checks around the walls and chicken figurines everywhere. The service is always good and the food is as expected. I had the diced ham and eggs (senior size) and The Manfolk had a guac burger with potato salad. To start off, the burger was good but he wasn't a fan of the potato salad because it was too sweet. Maybe sweet pickles instead of dill? Not sure, but he didn't eat much of it. My ham and eggs were just what I expected. But the hashbrowns taste weird to me. I don't know if it's the oil that they're fried with but I couldn't eat much of them. It's not cheap eating anywhere nowadays, but we were at $40 by the time we paid, including the standard 20% gratuity. It's hard to justify those costs but I think I'd find another place next time.

I ordered the waffle breakfast-the waffle came with a hair so I returned it and the new waffle had black bits in it. The egg was supposed to be soft scrambled, moist but was not. The service was very good and a cute ambience, the link sausage was good.

Never been here before but have heard A TON about this place... a coworker of mine worked here many years ago.... So while on my mini staycation on that side of town, we stopped in. The place is VERY CUTE and although I didn't actually walk around - it seems there are 2 separate rooms for meetings or large get togethers. Counter that seats maybe 10. No booths/ just tables. I get it, booths are pricey to keep up. We were sat right away, our wonderful server, Beth, took great care of us. Food is typical. Nothing crazy.... But all delicious. If we are ever that way, we'd eat here again. P.S. I love reading other reviews before I actually post mine- just incase I forgot something.... to the lady who stared at her waffle in the window for 20 minutes... Really? 20 minutes... do you know how long 20 minutes is? Get outta here over exaggerator. Ha! P.S.S. - not related but I NEEDED to know what use to be in the empty lot next door; Quik Mart. Ha.

This small cheerful Mexican restaurant has decent fare. I came here for dinner and it had quite a crowd. The service was good for a pleasant dining experience.

This is a cute little restaurant that serves breakfast all day. I had the chicken fried steak with an over easy egg and hash browns. The food was good they were fast and timely the only thing that I would say is the hash browns needed to be cooked a little bit longer.

We enjoyed our breakfast here. They have a nice menu with breakfast and lunch items, reasonable prices, quick and friendly service. I got the chicken fried steak with eggs. The steak was very tender and a crispy coating. It came with a large portion of hash browns, two eggs, and toast. Our server was very efficient and we got our food quickly.

This brunch place has a small town feel but is located in a ritzy location north of Tucson, in Catalina. It's a quaint and inviting place, and the staff is very friendly. The food I ordered, eggs benedict, was great. However, one of the eggs was completely overdone so it was not runny, but solid. The other egg was a bit better. The hash browns were spot on...crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have some other items on their menu which sound amazing, so I'll definitely be back for more!

Still love the staff, but the prices keep going up and the portions and quality keep going down. Can't say I'd recommend this place anymore.

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. I would love to try their coffees and teas!

It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I also noticed the shaved steak sandwich on the menu and in several Yelp photos, so I'll definitely have to come back and try that next. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt.
