Hooray for Orange County Computer I had been having some problems starting my desk top computer. I thought that it might have been the power pack but it was intermittent. Then Edison did some maintenance work area and had the power off for about five hours. When they turned the power back on my desk top would not turn on at all. Where do you go to find a good computer repair shop? I checked the yellow pages and the web for computer repair near me. I found Orange County Computers. Read the web site & comments on Yelp. When I called & explained what had happened they put me through to a technician. He diagnosed what had probably happened & gave me a quote over the phone. They follow this up with a written quote via email. The quote was for a diagnoses charge plus the part. I took my desk top in on a Wed afternoon. originally gave me a quote of $2500 and when Alex tried to fix it and failed, he had to send it out to some other company, but now he game me a new quote for $8000, so I could either take the server in a worse condition than I brought it in for or pay him $8000 for something he broke, I took my server somewhere else, they fixed it for $1500 and said that who every worked on this past had NO EXPERIENCE and did everything wrong, I have that in writing. Alex was very rude and not very knowledgeable. for basic things such as swapping hard drives, virus removal an so on I am sure these guys will do, but do not make same mistake as me and take your server to them, they don't know what they are doing. Alex is since before you pay him or if everything goes as planned, but as soon as you pay him and he messes up the system, he becomes this very rude, and dirty person, just overall the worst experience I ever had read more

Many thanks to Alex Pinedo and Matt Jones. I had a laptop with a malware virus - to say it was malicious was an understatement. This occured on a Thursday. On Friday, I called the Geek Squad and local area businesses to see who could turn around my computer by removing the virus asap - I had consulting work that needed completed over the weekend so time was critical. I couldn't get a lead time of better than 4 days from anyone, except OC Computer. I called, spoke with Matt, and for a small expediting fee, was able to get my laptop at the top of the list for repair, and had it back in less than 24 hours "malware" virus free. The are even open on weekends. It's a little hidden gem in Lake Forest, tucked away in an industrial plaza on Bake Parkway, behind the Starbucks and within view from the gas station car wash. My Microsoft Surface Pro laptop wouldn't start. I located Orange County Computer by searching for Microsoft certified centers. I made an appointment online. I received a call hours before my appointment to get more information about the problem. Dawn was up-front that they were primarily a software firm but were willing to examine my laptop. I appreciated the honesty. Everyone I met (thank you to Maria, Dawn and Mason) was professional. They practiced social distancing and wore masks. Best - they fixed the problem in 2 days! I contacted Orange County Computer for Cloud Support with an Enterprise Hyper-V environment I had problems with. I needed assistance with a Domain Controller and DFS/ Distributed Files System issues that was not working correctly in my network. This was a mission critical problem. They offered a cloud solution to clone my system to be accessed from any computer. No more panicking when I cant get online or something fails me.
