I didn't manage to get the name of the guy who helped me, but he was super helpful. It was only him on the floor and he was doing his best to help everyone out. He showed me several different bikes that fit what I wanted at different price points and was super informative. I ended up going with the Marin Gestalt X10. He also recommended a helmet that wasn't the most expensive one, so I didn't get the vibe that he was just trying to upsell me on everything like at some businesses. Was super excited to go here to shop for my first electric bicycle. Looking forward to using the car less and commuting more as well as being energy conscious. My work is about 11 miles from home so an electric bike is a great option. No one greeted us, a friendly hello would've been nice. Looked around for 15 minutes before someone came up to us. Don't even bother coming here. Walked in and said "Hello" and got 2 blanks stares like I was the invisible man. Proceeded to try and find a helmet for my son and got no help at all. Worker sits down at the counter and offers no help. NOT A VERY FRIENDLY PLACE !! Came by this shop last Saturday 5/15 around 2pm while family going around Antique shops. Two male, one probably owner & one technician working on a Bike was not very helpful. I ask about there SRAM AXS wireless which I already have & wanted to know if they have upgrade for a paddle shifters. They are absolutely a snub!!! I'm assuming this people don't like our kind. To start this off I want to say that this easily could of been an awful review. I live pretty far from this bicycle shop but had been looking for a specific Specialized rockhopper and they happened to have it. I called and spoke to a nice gentlemen who wrote my name down and told me that they would hold on to it for me. I show up the next day to go get it and honestly it was the craziest scenario you could think of. The line is crazy long, waited roughly an hour until I finally make it to the front. They take my name and ask what I need so I let them know and they start the process of looking for it. Unfortunately as they roll out what I think is going to be my bike they hand it to another gentleman who was waiting behind me in line. I guess he had called before my call so it was his based on that. I wasn't upset as much as I was sad, i have just driven under a couple hours to pick up what I think is a badass bike. Well, here comes the awesome part. I don't know if it was the owner, the son, or someone that had just worked there a long time but dude knew his shit about the business. He felt bad, he held the original bike I wanted but accidentally sold it to someone else. He felt bad, just based on how sad he saw me. He was able to more than make up for a simple accident. I was able to get the most gorgeous Specialized Stumpjumper at a price I won't mention but was a crazy deal just because of what happened. They literally had no reason to do this besides being kind and respectable people. I just want to say thanks and I've really enjoyed my amazing bike! Will do business again! Could not be happier with my experience! My partner is an avid cyclist and I'm just starting to get in to it. We went in looking for his and her bike shorts and were greeted by a friendly sales associate. She wasn't too pushy or over bearing. Because it was my first time wearing bike shorts she let me use the bathroom to try them on. Unfortunately they didn't carry my size in the price range I wanted. However, she worked with us to make sure we were satisfied and able to take home two pairs of bike shorts! We will definitely be coming back for all of our cycling needs. read more

I went in to buy a bmx bike for my kid and myself. Worst customer service. Never said hello, walked around me and my son at least 10 min before I had to chase them to get an answer to my question. Al got my Lapierre dialed-in. It is a few years old and utilizes an electronic lockout rear shock which many bike shops are not familiar with. I wouldn't take a specialized levo/kenevo anywhere else but this shop. I had motor issues on my Kenevo and they have parts and are willing to do repairs that other shops would not even try. The mechanic at this shop (Al) actually knows these bikes. He fixed my bike and saved me from what could have been a super costly repair. Very happy with the service! read more

My experience was nice enough to give them a 4-star, but reading the bogus, inconsistent story from Peter who gave them a 2-star made me throw in the extra star to balance out. LOL Years ago before the age of reviews, I bought a Schwinn from them that was hard to get -- they didn't have the red color I wanted, and I remember the guy made a half-dozen calls to find it. I think going above and beyond is the type of service which deserves good reviews. This year, I wanted an orange bike to pair up with my pink bike for beach riding when friends come over. Sunday late afternoon, the shop is busy. Yes, they all run around, and yes, they were trying to close. Like most shops, sometimes you get attention, and sometimes you don't. When I finally got attention, they were helpful. The Orange colored Momentum bike was not in stock. Two guys went to look at different sites and books to finally find it and placed an order. Because the green one on the floor was on sale, they were willing to extend the same discount on the Orange one they just ordered. That's nice!! Some guy is sending his assistant -- who later is described as GF -- for an adapter of sorts and end up reviewing stuff about bike mounting. If you sent a girl to get BMX parts, you're an ass to begin with. To review crew members when you didn't come to the store yourself is also not cool. I do know this. If a store member(s) take extra time to order things, to find things, to compare stuff.... they have done a good enough job. For my personal experience, even though I don't live close enough to come here all the time, for the few times I visit, I end up buying a bike -- that's because they have been willing to do things to deserve my business. read more

I was in need of a bike repair and dropped my bike at Orange Cycle. They were very busy, but Omar was there to take my bike. He told me that they would look it over and give me an estimate to bring my bike back to its prime. The bottom bracket had failed and because it was a unique size Omar hunted one down and offered to pick it up too. This was great service. I even added other services to my bike. Now it rides like itis brand new. Orange Cycle served me well and I recommend them to anyone looking for bike repairs. read more

Joe at Orange Cycle was excellent and attentive. Joe listened to my cycling needs in terms of riding style and budget, and he met them both. He even went outside with me multiple times to test out the top contending bikes - and discounted the better bike to fit within my price point. Very disappointed with this place right now . I ordered two wheels from this place two months ago and they never kept in touch with me I left my phone number and they never called me back . Called back two times and they asked for my name and number and said they will call me back and I'm s still waiting. The first person that I talked to quoted a price around 100$ so I called again third time and was talked to like i was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about so Joe asked me just to bring the wheels in and that is what I suggested the first time but they denied me. So I brought wheels in and they said I didn't both didn't even check if other wheels were there and were rude. Then they said I only needed one wheel and ended up paying 89$ close to the price I was quoted for two wheels? Was lied to three times . Why was I treated like that? Just wanted a place so I can get wheels to ride my bike it's what I really enjoy that's all . Didn't expect that from this place . They said if I paid in advance maybe it wouldn't have taken so long but I seriously doubt that. Horrible! read more

Stellar experience here today! Picked up a brand new electric mountain bike that I couldn't be happier with. I waited in line for about 20-25 minutes (expected during this situation on a Saturday) and the gentleman at the door pointed me in the direction of the bikes I was looking for. Shortly after browsing on my own Al came over and answered any questions I had and got me set up on my new bike in quick order. Great staff, great inventory! I had purchased a bike lock 2 months ago and had only used it 5 times. The pin had broken off when it fell to the ground and snapped. I took it back to exchange it and was rudely treated. The man came from behind the counter and got up in my space to tell me that I abused this lock and I broke it on purpose . He then said the place doesn't even carry this lock or brand. I walked over to the shelf and showed him the same lock he said the place didn't carry........you figure this employee would know the products he sold at his place. .......idiot! As I walked out I told him I would take my business elsewhere. Hey cursed at me as I left. Even as I rode away he continued to walk out and curse me in a 4 letter word manner. Sad to see such a pathetic man treat a local neighborhood patron of orange for 39 years like that. I will never go there again. Duchebags like that need to go back to fucksville. I've just had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. I was shopping for a a camelback hydration pack and a cable lock. I eventually found them. I went to the counter and placed my items there. Three feet away behind the counter was a guy (shaved head, mtb apparel) wrenching some clipless cleats. I stood there patiently hoping to catch his eye. He eventually looked up, smirked and went back to wrenching. I gritted my teeth, waited thirty seconds and asked jokingly "Should I ring a bell or something?" The old man seated behind me facing the entrance then asked "Can I help you?" I then said "Yes, I'd like to purchase some products from your shop." The old man then said "Well why didn't you say something?" I felt as if I was interrupting their afternoon nap. The old man then yelled out to someone in the back who then sheepishly came around the corner and rang up my tab. Condescending, rude and annoyed behavior is no way to run a business. I frequent the Orange Circle on a weekly basis but I will never return to this shop again and I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Go somewhere else. Been to this shop twice in the last two months and both experiences were the same. You walk in, they see you, then try to avoid you at all cost. This is one of my biggest annoyances, all you have to do is look up and say "hey mate, thanks for comin in. Ill be right with you." So simple but these folks prefer to make you feel like you've come to the wrong place. One guy even rolled a bike right into me and didnt say excuse me or ooops or even "get outta the way buttface", they just want to pretend you aren't there. So do them a favor, future customers, don't go here. The first time I came in I was replacing my seat. Did you know they want to charge you $10 to install a seat you just bought from them? Ok, seat installed for free at home. Second time in the store I came to get the rear tire fixed. Same greeting, I mean same cold shoulder, finally a tall dude takes my bike mounts it preparing to make her good. But wait! There was some time-sensitive work gossip that he needed to attend to first. For almost 5 minutes this guy and another doofus stood around like two little school girls sharing secrets. Finally the tire is done, calls for some tired old man to ring me up, just pulled "that'll be $20" out of his ass. Really? $20 for that? The dude didnt even offer to tighten up the bike, wipe it down,nothing. Did he even put air in my other tire? horrible service. And the greatest part of all of this is that it has been less than a week and the same tire has gone flat. but thats just my bad luck, not their overpriced crappy service. read more

Walked in on a Saturday looking for a giant or specialized bike and since they carried both I thought it would be perfect to stop in here and try them out. The models that I was looking at were in the $3500 range so when I stood there waiting for any kind of acknowledgement after standing at the counter for 10 minutes while employee after employee walked by without even so much as eye contact only to go talk and shoot the breeze with the others in the back of the shop I knew I would not spend my money here. Bought 2 bikes here a couple months ago. When we came back to pick them up they had different seats and different handlebar grips. Huh? So we had to come back later to pick up the exact bikes we purchased. On our first ride, one of the bikes had slipping and squeaky gears. Brought back the bike but it still had the same issue. Brought back the bike again and finally they fixed the problem. The customer service is terrible and there appeared to be internal conflict with the owner & workers. I understand why this store has mixed reviews. If I could I would give Zack 5 stars and the store owners zero. The last couple of times I have been in the store the old man (owner) was following Zack while he was assisting me with my questions. Zack has done a great job of helping me select a Specialized road bike. He also fit the bike to me and helped me with getting all the necessary gear. Flip-side to all of this the owner and his son gave Zack a hard-time about spending the amount of time with me and on more than one occasion. The old man is a first class JERK and his son is a mini-me! I highly recommend to this store, leave the old man at home, they might have more loyal customers, by doing so. If it were not for Zack, I would go elsewhere, to pay high dollar prices. Customer service is key. For all you serious cyclists, go check out "A Road bike 4 U" in Irvine. I'm sure the customer service is much better. Again, Zack is the only person I will deal with at this store, he has great customer service skills and is certified by "Specialized" to do bike fittings and repairs. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I've been shopping for a specific style of bike and - lo and behold! - I found it at Orange Cycle. I was well beyond the "consideration" phase and came in with cash on hand (not credit, but cash!) to see if they would come down a bit in the price but I was ready to buy regardless. The sales guy was a complete troll - he seemed annoyed when I told him I had a question on a bike, he acted like he really didn't give a *&#$ about me as a customer and in the end I decided to pass on making the purchase because of him. The killer on the whole thing is that they had the bike I wanted for a price I was willing to pay, not to mention that I'm the perfect customer: someone who has hard cash in hand and is committed to the purchase. But for no other reason than how the sales person handled the transaction, I decided against buying here. I mean, if a business treats committed customers with $700 cash in hand with such disregard, how would they treat me if a problem arose later? Do they even care about their customers or their reputation? In the end, Orange Cycle lost out on a $700 cash sale. It's not the biggest sale they'll ever make but I guess if a business can turn up its nose at someone with several hundred dollars of cold cash ready to buy then that really shows how little respect they have for customers. read more

I've never had less than stellar service here. I have purchased accessories in the past, but I recently bought a bike here. An "entry level" road bike, a Fuji Sportif 2.1. Everyone was great from the moment I put it on layaway to when I picked it up 3 weeks or so later, and then just this last weekend I had my "90 day checkup". They took it right away, and I barely had time to get the takeaway food home to my family.. a span of less than 30 minutes..before I got the call to come back, it was finished. Additionally, the bike rode better after the "adjustment" than it did when I rolled out of the shop after the purchase. Well done, folks. The people all have great attitudes, it's apparent they love their job and anything to do with cycling. I wish I knew the guy's name that sold my bike to me. Tall fellow that always wore baseball caps, had some kind of accent, can't place it..He was awesome and if anyone goes there and deals with him you WILL have a great experience. I came to this store to buy a bike since I recently decided to take on a new hobby of bike riding..I found my inner Lance Armstrong. ....So I I got there and I was left to stand around for 20 minutes while the sales people just kept passing me by to stand around themselves. When I finally get help, he doesn't ask me any questions of what kind of riding I wanted to do, and just points me to some expensive bikes. After about 45 minutes of talking to him and trying out bikes, I decided to leave and try another place because I was still feeling lost....thank you Orange Cycle sales guy with the black spiky hair. I think this place stays in business mostly due to location. I shopped here for my Paul Frank City Bikes, but wasn't that impressed. The employees were nice enough, but they didn't give me much reason to buy from them as opposed to anyone else. I decided to buy them directly from the store. My husband popped a tube in his tire a few weeks ago. We went down on a Friday to check out the food trucks and get it fixed. The tube was reasonable (about $15) but my husband also asked them to look at his gear that had been sticking. Well that ended up being $70. Seems pretty pricey to me, but it was done the following day. But the bike is working great now, so I really can't complain. read more

Came in today to purchase a beach cruiser. It was pretty slammed so I didn't expect too much. However I was greeted and helped within a few mins. The gentleman that helped me walked me through different models, found one within my budget, and what I was trying to use it for. I got to test out a bike I really liked and the price was fair from what I had seen at other shops and online. I ended up purchasing a light blue Electra and I'm really happy with my purchase. They serviced my bike before I received it. The gentlemen that helped me with my purchase even took the time to help set my new bike rack on my car and secure my bike for me.
