I have had the "nightmare" of trying to fix an Electric gate. It seems there is a bunch of "replica" businesses on the internet and are operated by one person. All 3 different companies I called had the same person answer, but swore she was with a different company. No names but it all contained the word "Whittier " Each technician asked for a $29 fee upfront to diagnose problem. If they are coming from Whittier and I live in Whittier, why charge? (Shady) Quotes came in at $1300, $2300, $ 975. Along comes Rami, totally transparent, looked at the gate and gave me a diagnosis in 15 mins. There were some wires crossed. Rami actually answered the phone!! He told me he could be there in 30minutes or less!! It was less than 30". He is also a local businessman living in AV. He was friendly, polite and provided me with a quote before servicing my garage in an urgent matter. He even attached the siding that was ripped off the garage from the accident that occurred and gave the garage door, hinges, rollers, springs a lube and tune up!! His rate was below what others in the industry are charging for changing from a Wayne dalton Torquemaster to a Torsion Spring System. Rami stopped by last night to do measurements to make sure the part was ordered and informed me that he had a gate job that he was scheduled for today but if it rains he is unable to do it so he would fix my garage between 10 and 1 pm. He let me know that the gate job was postponed based off the rain so he would be able to fix my garage via text. Rami kept me informed this morning via text. Rami is awesome. We were in our house and we heard a big noise. I went into the garage and noticed the springs on our roll up had snapped and I could not open the garage. Hopped on Yelp and noticed Rami lives right near me so I said well I should help a neighbor out during this quarantine. I messaged him and sent him a picture. I had him come right over and with in one hour the work was done and at the price he quoted me. He also lubed the garage door so now its quieter. My wife couldn't believe within a few hours it was done. I did also receive quotes from other garage door folks and there pricing was a bit higher but they couldn't come out for several days. At my suggestion we went on to replace all three springs.
