When I got home recently one evening, my garage made a loud noise and stopped. I was able to manually open/close so was able to get in. I contacted Ocean Coast as I've used them before and expected a response the next day but they replied within minutes and said they would get someone to come out the next day. Daniela is so responsive and great with communicating, I didn't feel worried about getting service. Irving came out and it only took him a minute to figure out something broke (forgot the name of the part). He removed it and showed me and said he had the part so he could replace it for $250 but also told me I could upgrade my unit for $715. He wasn't pushy at all and at first I thought just to replace the part but asked about the benefits for both options. He was great to explain that if I replaced the part, it would last a really long time. He also explained that with the newer unit, I could open/close through an app from anywhere, it would notify if the garage opened/closed, there's a backup in case of power outage so the garage would still work, I could also give access to Amazon to open to put packages inside and access to friends. In the end, I decided to go with a new unit because I liked the newer features available. And he was able to install it fairly quickly (i can't remember if it was 1 or 2 hours) and walk me through the app to make sure I was all set. Irving was great, very knowledgeable and respectful. I highly recommend the team at Ocean Coast, its my 3rd time having contact with them and they're just so great! Woman-owned and local! I heard a loud crash late afternoon from our garage. Turns out our new build 2018 home had a Wayne Dalton system with springs on the sides, which had a spring that broke. We couldn't open or close the garage door, and if we could it closed/opened sporadically, and very slowly. I contacted a few companies that night to see who could come out soonest and was reasonably priced. Daniela was one of the first to respond, and provided pricing. The others wanted to come out for a free estimate even though I knew I wanted to convert my Wayne Dalton system to a traditional torsion system and asked for quotes. I wanted to switch to a modern paneled garage door but the main problem was that it would not fit because of a high wooden cabinet in my garage that blocked the rollers (see pictures). This company is spectacular! When I called, they even offered service that night if I needed it. I scheduled it for the next morning, they confirmed the technician they would be sending and the time frame. The technician, Irving, texted me 30 minutes prior to arrival. I needed service because one of my garage doors was bouncing back up right when it was reaching the sensors. We had tried everything and thought we might need new sensors. When Irving got there, I showed him what the garage door was doing. He asked me to do it one more time. He then went and got a cloth out of his van. He then explained that our sensors were close in to the garage door and showed me there was a cobweb with a couple of leaves hanging from it at the bottom of that door. He said the sensors were detecting those small leaves!!!! He cleaned them off and - OMG the garage door worked LOL LOL!!!!! The first thing I have to say is any other garage door company could (and probably WOULD) have told me I needed new sensors and we would have believed it. But Irving was 100% honest and has so much integrity - I will never use another garage door company ever again (I have never really liked the ones I have used before).
