Yogurt is fine, customer service is awful. Went here with my fiancé and walked out regretting giving them our business. It was very clear that we were not welcome, as the person at register glared at us through the window and looked at the clock before we even walked in. We both work in food service, and understand the feeling of hoping no more customers walk in so you can finish your closing tasks and leave, but we walked in 20 minutes before close and were out 3 minutes later. Very weird to be on the clock and yet lack very simple customer service skills. At a place like this where the yogurt is already good and the customer serves themselves, the interaction is so quick and minimal, it shouldn't be too difficult to do the job well.. and you're asking for a tip. I love Orange Leaf. The self-service yogurt craze has met its match with this place. I can pour as much or as little of any flavor I want, mix and match to my heart's content, and choose from a ton of toppings ranging from strawberries to gummy bears to Jelly Bellys and everything in between. You pay by the ounce so be careful when you pile on the toppings (as I soon discovered when my son decided to pile on the crushed Oreos and ended up with an almost - $10 cup of fro yo)! It's all good...he scarfed that baby up! I used to go to the OL on 1604 in the Vineyard shopping center, but now I go to the new one at Northwoods Shopping Center since it's closer to home. Mr. S and I are crazy about frozen yogurt and have it about once a week. This is by far our favorite one. We went to Orange Leaf for the first time earlier this week because we were craving froyo so bad. We decided to give Orange Leaf a try since we'd never been. The flavors were VERY unique, which immediately impressed me. The general ones were still there (birthday cake, peanut butter, chocolate..etc) but they had some that we hadn't had before like green apple, spoon berry and orange. Mr. S LOVED the combination of spoon berry and orange. I was a fan of the taro, birthday cake and white chocolate strawberry (I think that's what it was called). The toppings were great and plenty. I thought the spoons were VERY cute and original. The cashier gave us a frequent customer card were we get $1 back for every $10 we spend. Choosing your own mix of favorite toppings with the frozen yogurt options available is a great idea, until you find more than one machine out of order. Although this location is closer to me, if I really want Orange Leaf, I'd rather choose the location at Blanco and 1604. I keep hoping for better outcomes with the Northwoods location, but upon my last visit, I saw no waffle cups and the lids for the smaller serving sizes had to be fitted with the larger dome which was then secured by stickers. I tried out this location and I had a far better experience here than the one at the Vineyard. The taste and quality was much better and the customer service was nice. They also offered us their rewards card which the other location didn't do. I throughly enjoy their plain yogurt with blueberries, chocolate chips, coconut and graham crackers. We have tried different places around town and so far Orange leaf has been the best. The yogurt is very tasty and has good flavor. I personally like the sherbet. The staff was not good or bad they did their job in a timely manner and were courteous. Upon walking up to front doors they were locked, tried opening the door, employees just stared and continued talking to other coworkers. Each time I come here the staff and just standing around on their phones, eating and drinking in the front counter and take a while to check people out. Last time I came here, I was ready to pay and one team member looked at me and told the other team member if they could get me, the team member was on his phone and finally check me out. NEVER AGAIN! So, I went in last night for the first time, and was helped by a girl that was nice enough. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to know ANYTHING about your frozen yogurt. It was bad enough, I almost left (since you are refusing samples). But, I gambled, and despite your product being WAAAAAY overpriced, it was pretty tasty. So, because it is convenient to my gym, I decided to go back tonight after my workout. I was greeted by a VERY friendly girl (which is awesome), and she was doing some very industrial strength cleaning (as evidenced by the ovetwhelming fumes -- even with my mask on). But that's cool, I like clean places. She also had toilet cleaning gloves on, and the sum total of gloves, how she wsd cleaning, and the fumes suggested a pretty legit cleaning. So, when I got the feeling she was going to make my order with those same gloves on, I asked her. She said she wasn't, but promptly picked up the cup to make it. Before I could say anything, I saw her giant gloved thumb go INSIDE the cup. DISGUSTING! LAZY! INEXCUSABLE! If you had reasonable prices, I probably would have just given her another chance to do it non-disgustingly. But, there is NO way I am going to pay through the nose for food that is handled in such a disgusting way. If you're going to employee people with McDonald's level behavior, you better start offering McDonald's level prices!! This could have been a new daily stop for me. Never again!! read more
